My old teacher used to tell my mother that I hate every person I know, just because one time I didn't say "Greetings" to her loud enough then I entered the classroom
Teacher: "arent you anons brother"
Me: "Yes"

I was doing too good, and needed a bad grade to be motivated to work more, thou the answers were perfect
OH I've got a story that still peeves me years later...
In HS I had a "media arts" class that was basically making Windows Movie Maker videos for every assignment. In my Sophomore year we got a new teacher at the school who took over the class and I already liked her less than my previous teacher (and not just cause the previous teacher was p cute ngl). At the time, I honestly wasn't really into music so I didn't have many audio files to use. The new teacher had given all of us, the whole class, a list of websites we could go to and download music to use in our projects. At the top of this list was a site that must have been owned by a cover band because ALL of the songs were covers. I didn't really know this at the time because I'd never heard of cover bands before. All of my classmates were quite music savvy so I was pretty much the only one to get songs from this site, and most of the songs were ones I didn't know before hand.
One of the first prompts the new teacher gave us was "Music Video" or something similar to that, but the assignment led me toward picking a song by some rapper I never listened to. When it came time to present our videos in class, all of my classmates immediately noticed and pointed out that the singer was not the rapper. I don't think the teacher game me a full on "F" for the assignment, but she marked off a lot of points with the specific note on the paper that the reason why was because the singer for the song was not the original rapper. I was SO pissed off because I got this song from a site SHE had recommended! I went from getting bad vibes from this teacher to hating her entirely for the next 3 years.
The upside to this whole thing was that afterward, one of my classmates, who I didn't even really know at the time, came up to me and gave me a 4GB flashdrive full of songs files from his own collection that I was able to use for the rest of my time at that school. I even started listening to music more because I had some readily available to me now. He introduced me to Fall Out Boy, Panic!, Gym Class Heroes and a few others and really sparked an interest in music I didn't have before (In my neighborhood, everyone listened to rap or the cha cha slide and I was never a fan of rap but I discovered I really liked rock music.)
So I'm still mad at that teacher, but to that dude who saw me having a rough time and offered me such a kindness for nothing in return, you're a saint, and I never got to thank you properly. I hope you're doing well.
Not a bad grade, but sanction for being late. One of the school wardens every morning controlled if people where arriving late to school, after the 8:31 you got a sanction and at 8:45 the doors where closed. Everytime i knew i was going to arrive late, i never hurried since knew i already got that sanction. One day, this warden asked me why i always late by far, i answered with logic (something extremely forbidden by her standards apparently) "if i arrive at 8:31 or at 8:45, i will have the same sanction, so why i should hurry if already have the sanction?" this warden responded "In the future, if you are late to a job, i probably will be fired" which i answered to that "In the future, i'll be on time since i will be getting paid"... that day i got another sanction for disrespect to the authorities

about the fish-meat thing: it wasn't unheard of for nobles or clergy in the middle ages to throw living deer or other animals into lakes, shoot them wiht a bow there and then take the dead animal out. as it was directly taken from the water and it swam before it was killed, it was considdered not meat. very strange times, indeed ... but to answer the one question: it isn't considdered meat because of the growing/slaughtering seasons. you can theoretically fish all throughout the year when you're close to the sea or have lakes that have fish in them. but for animals, the need to grow before being big enough to be slaughtered. some of the time in which they were traditionally grown was made into lent time, so that the animals could grow more and the people, after the religious bullshit was over, could slaughter better, further grown animals that'd offer more food. this of course doesn't apply to every occasion taht they fasted in the past, as for example easter was changing its position in the calendar quite a bit, but for some othertimes it would work quite well, apparently. and another reason it wasn't considdered meat is that the higher clergy didn't want to refuse absolutely every possible good food during fasting times, so there had to be some exceptions. fish, for the afformentioned reasons, seemed like a relatively good option then as there are plenty of good fish dishes they could eat wihtout having to resort to dry bread and water.
on a sidenote, alkohol and beer technically are also banned during lent, yet there of course was no real cooling options during the middle ages, so some german brewers created a slightly stronger beer which, as a "new" drink had to be approved by the pope for lent or be denied its drinkability during that time. as there was no cooling during its rather slow transportation towards rome, it became quite untasty and apparently, when the pope tested it, eh decided that this was such an horrendous drink that the people willingly drinking it must want to suffer even more for their sins during lent and wish to show how they repented by ingesting this, so he allowed it ... completely ignoring that it of course became undrinkable only due to the long transport (which may or may not have been lied about in its duration).
how true the sidenote is, I don't know and can't say, it's a folk tale here which I may even ahve been told wrong or misunderstood all those years ago.
as for the first part, this is what I understood as the reasoning when being told during my younger years, shortly before I started to ask uncomfortable questions about the inconsitencies and cruelty of the "good" god and then decided that organised religion is apparently bullshit. so basically all of what I wrote could very well be false, it is only what I understand from this topic, so you probably should look it up yourself or ask some real priests (not the overly strict ones who only think in black and white, there's plenty of ok ones that are open for discussions and open to different viewpoints ... as long as you go with a catholic priest in a majority catholic region, as the rest are godles heretics who should be burned alive, after all ...)

Deducted points from my score for following her written directions she handed to us that she ripped off her past college class. Yeah this was 7th grade. Parent teacher conference why did you reduce points?
