Thanks for watching!
USS constitution was a frigate ship and it's larger than HMS victory which is 1st rate 🤣🤣 lol learn about ships first
Bro no one cares its not that deep
@@Tofumajiedlol if u watched this video, u care
@@yaperyitty8384 uhmm I just watched this video for assignment + it's just fat2ss boat
Hey we is the queen Anne's revenge
How the FUCK is USS Comstitution 90 meters long? It was 62 and wasn't even ship of the line.
Makes me put all the info in this video into question.
Nice thought, well presented... but could you include the ship class (sloop, frigate, brig, etc) next time? Their name doesn't tell me much.
Its a random assortment of ships across a period of 600 years. They had all kinds of classifications. The meaning of some terms used to describe ships even changed over time so it would not be a helpful inclusion.
@thereddye, but we're not talking about the future...
The sizes are wrong either way, hms victory is a first rate and uss constitution is a frigate
@@saffrontunic Im not talking about the future.
La Pinta was one of the three ships columbus sailed with across the Atlantic and was laid down in 1441, 583 years ago. Most "modern" sailing rigs including many square rig variants like brigs, barques and ship rigs and anything that used a gaff sail hadn't even been invented by this time. It was a caravel with a lateen mizzen sail.
CSS Alabama on the other hand that appears later in the video was a steam/sail hybrid ship laid down in 1862 with a rig so modern the same ship types just mentioned were beginning to be phased out entirely.
It doesn't give you any perspective at all to compare these wildly different ships by their sail plan without the added context of what each term meant in the time they were built.
In order of appearance:
Nina: Caravel
La Pinta: Caravel
La Santa Maria: Commercial Carrack
Victoria (1519): Carrack
Speedy: Speedy-class Brig
Dart: Experimental Ship-Rigged Sloop of War with open main deck
Bounty: Collier (Ship-Rigged)
Royal Caroline: Royal Yacht (Ship-Rigged with lateen spanker)
Golden Hind: English Galleon
Pourquoi Pas: Specialised Barque
San Jose: Spanish Galleon
Ingermanland: 3rd Rate (Ship Rigged)
Glorieux: 3rd Rate (Ship Rigged)
Terra Nova: Barque
Alabama: Screw Sloop of War (Barque Rigged)
Victory: 1st Rate (Ship Rigged)
Jylland: Screw Frigate (Ship Rigged)
Adler Von Lubeck: War Galleon
Dar Pomoroza: Ship (Ship Rigged)
Constitution: 5th Rate (Ship Rigged)
Warrior: Steam Frigate (Ship Rigged)
The order of the ships by length presented in the video is inaccurate
