I gotta' tell ya': That splash hit the mic and - if you're listening with stereo headphones - it made the rest of the ride sound like I had water in my right ear...and I liked it. Added to the realism!
Obsessed!!! with the textures in the monuments and cave walls, you can see they put effort into making every area distinct and different from the last. honestly kudos to the designers!
The park in general was so awesome back then. The Gremlins/ALF darkride, the Batman simulator, the Looney Tunes Dark Ride. I really miss Warner Bros. Movie Park.
Yeah... I wasn't overly wowed by what I saw here. The music was awesome and the set pieces were nice to look at. But, the ride could really use some animatronics. And that last part going into the building could use some extra set pieces. 'Cuz the modern building really kills the illusion.
Very cool theme! That dark fairy tale and a good rafting ride and I'm in. I'm a sucker for the whole "who's the unlucky sap who gets soaked?" element of it all. My sister is that unlucky person waaaay more often than not, but she handles it well.
The only thing that would have made this better was if some of the bigger props were animatronics. I was waiting for that rock monster and that dragon to move! Other than that, this was incredible!
Fun fact: back when the park was part of the Warner Bros. franchise (called Warner Bros. Movie World) this river rapid ride was themed after the neverending story.
Warner bros movie world was amazing. Never ending story. Loony tunes. Batman. Gremlings. That vulcano and the cool stunt shows. Such a shame they had to go
It is awesome! That is also because it carries a lot of the bones of the NeverEnding Story. The ride this attraction was modeled off of for most of the areas including the outdoors.
I love the theme and attention to detail. But I have to say, my bucket list raft ride experience would have to be the roaring rapids ride at Shanghai Disneyland - mostly because of that insane crocodile monster animatronic. Brilliant filming here as always, Attractions 360°
Hi there! Could I possibly use your POV in my upcoming Movie Park Germany vlog to be able to show what the on-ride experience is like? I will provide an on screen POV credit while the POV shows and link your video / tag you in the description
Just a little motion.... UNIVERSAL ISLAND OF ADVENTURES AND SEA WORLD ORLAND HAVE THE MOST TURBULENCE, WAVES, SPLASHES, SOAKS ....... THIS ONE YOU MIGHT GET A SPRINKLE, BUT IT LOOKS COOL.
That's some GOOD THEMING. On the other hand, Disney World Animal Kingdom has THE WORST rapids ride I've ever been on!! It just goes in a loop and YOU'RE DONE.
When I was in movie park germany i rode this so much that the operator knew my name. At the last time he even put the light's out for us in the indoor section (with that big spike up to the ceiling.) The fountains made me so wet my dad wouldn't let me in the car. I hope this ride remains as this for a long time❤
I'm back a year later to say, "Do you like boring stationary scenery with an overly loud soundtrack that has nothing to do with Excalibur, being passed off as "theming", then this is the ride for you!" - That said, I still stand that outdoor theming is utter garbage, but the indoor theming is great. Enough so that I'd still want to ride it just to be sure it sucks outside.
I wondering if there is a real forest like this, all real trees, if cave then safe cave(modified like putting iron or ladder material somewhere to support it). A kind can park boat and pull up even - attract insects?
One thing to note is the sound got weird after you got blasted by the first jet. If you ever ride this again a new video would be great. The muffling from the water blast hurts my eyes
If you have ever done this ride when it opened, you would feel sad seeing this onride, it's in a terrible state. It used to be so good with the Never Ending Story theming.
Yeah did also the tracks came later? because i remembered it was fcking wild with waves and all and open water parts but now its not that wild anymore and you follow a track
It's not even that huge actually - it's a Regular one for germany. But maybe in Germany we are a bit spoiled because we know bigger and better parks like Europapark and so on 😅 The are not as much rides as in other parks. And a lot rides are for small kids like a whole area themed with paw patrol and an Area with nickelodeon figures. The only rides which are really good and worth a visit when your older than 16 ist the shown ride Excalibur and then we have Area 51, the New coaster "Studio Tour" and the coaster which is StarTrek themed (and a smaller coaster with has spongebob theme in nickland - your Never to old for having some spongebob fun 😅)
But your right with one point - Area 51, Excalibur and Studio Tour are really big rides. They take a lot of space. I don't know a other Park (maybe except europapark) which has that big rides and also then so well themed.
circular rafts need spinners wheelers which spin the raft so others can see the scenery- I pitty the travelers who's back is to the exciting view which were seldom, but would make the experience more enjoyable.
The theming looks phenomenal, especially for a raft ride, but the ride track looks far too straight and level. I definitely prefer a raft ride to have lots of back and forth bouncing and some significant drops. It still looks worth a ride just for the cool atmosphere.
best one? hmm, i personally would say that Popeye & Bluto's Bilge-Rat Barges has a bit better themeing than this one. nonetheless this looks like a lot of fun
@@maltwhiskey1424 well, it was actually australian, based on the Warner Park in Australia. A lot of buildings where also created by australian firms. This prompted to be an issue later on, since the buildings weren't designed for a german climate
It's very nicely themed, but such a shame it's one of those narrow River Rapids. Also not a fan of eventually floating in a giant boxy shed. I feel that in a River Rapids boats should be able to freeroam a bit and able to overtake eachother.
Meanwhile here in the U.S. the idea is "hey, lets dig a ditch, run water through it, float a raft, make the patrons wet and miserable, and throw in some cheesy animiatronics and cardboard cut outs", "they'll come from all over and pay big bucks for it".
I gotta' tell ya': That splash hit the mic and - if you're listening with stereo headphones - it made the rest of the ride sound like I had water in my right ear...and I liked it. Added to the realism!
Glad I'm not the only one who noticed.
Obsessed!!! with the textures in the monuments and cave walls, you can see they put effort into making every area distinct and different from the last. honestly kudos to the designers!
I think this warrants a night time visit. I kept imagining how this stuff looks lit up.
@@TheIndependentLens Sadly they didn’t really put any effort into lighting. Its just the maintenance lights
I adored this! The story of King Arthur will never get old to me. Great music and story telling!
....what?
It's pretty good. Kind of quiet in places and could benefit from some additional movement.
The ride started life as ‘The Neverending Story’… So it used to be even more fantastically themed with lots of moving animatronics!
I really miss this version of the ride
@@AyrtonIsGod Me too. That was one of the most awesome rides in the park.
The park in general was so awesome back then. The Gremlins/ALF darkride, the Batman simulator, the Looney Tunes Dark Ride. I really miss Warner Bros. Movie Park.
Aww that sucks
Dam that would’ve epic to see
Woah, rapids ride that starts with indoor part. Amazing!

I avoid water rides for that very reason.
@@lindinle So you avoid water rides because they have water?
@@commander0287 yes. I dont like the feeling of wet clothes.
@@lindinle well that's understandable
Always amazes me how you are able to get on all these attractions with little to no crowds.
Go to an European theme park on a Monday in the middle of October, you will be the only one (if it's not Disney).
The only thing that would have made this better was if some of the bigger props were animatronics. I was waiting for that rock monster and that dragon to move! Other than that, this was incredible!

yes when it actually was interesting to look at..
Warner bros movie world was amazing. Never ending story. Loony tunes. Batman. Gremlings. That vulcano and the cool stunt shows.
Such a shame they had to go
The theme was amazing though I got to say the ride layout itself looks really tame.
I still remember this ride as Mystery River. Good times. :´)
In my time it was never ending story. :)
Beautiful ride! I wish I can experience this movie park one day.
Whats going on with the themeing here?.... it's all over the place.
It is awesome! That is also because it carries a lot of the bones of the NeverEnding Story. The ride this attraction was modeled off of for most of the areas including the outdoors.
Now that you mentioned it. Kinda surprising that they didn’t make a Neverending Story attraction.
@@TwilightLink77 It was originally themed after the neverending story
@@thefrog4990 Um what?
@@TwilightLink77 This ride was originally a Neverending Story themed attraction. I think there's a video of it on UA-cam.

It seems it’s like the longest rapid river raft ride. Lol
This is one of the coolest raft water rides I've ever seen! Europe is where it's at for rides.
This is the only thing that makes the park worth it .the quality of Movie Park Germany has gone downhill a lot over the years
@@robinv6461 the quality of Movie Park has only gone up recently, Excalibur, Studio Tour, Van Helsing are all amazing
Great job on the POV. Usually river rapids POVs are hard to watch because the camera spins around. Ride looks super fun too!
honestly this looks like something I would've hastily thrown together as my first ride in Planet Coaster or something.
This is so cool. I've never seen a rapid ride with theming like this. Super cool. Although, it's not a very wet ride, is it?
Its not that wet normally, though I have gotten soaked twice
3:55 My ears got unclogged by water
Well yes it got after the remoddeling better but it was my alltime favourite when it was the Neverending Journey ride.
I liked this ride a lot more before the retheming. It used to be themed to The Neverending Story.
This ride, is one of my Life greatest moments and unforgetable
I bet a lot of that looks really cool at night.

Ugh. Started nice. Fell apart after the evil forest. And the near T posing knights.
Those knights are dead my man

fun fact its actually the modern way to T-Pose when when creating a game character ( im a 3D artist )
Very beautiful 😍👍
nice to know:
in old times (about 2000) that ride was based on "never ending story"
Do they need to do some yardwork or is the overgrown look part of the theming?
very cool, but is it all lit up and cooler at night?
This is so awesome place!
Incredible. I think the water getting in the mic only adds to the immersion of the video!

The outdoor theming is lackluster. Needs more lights even in daytime, needs more animations and water features. Indoor is great however.

This is awesome! So many cool rides outside the US!
the stationary set designs seem like a missed opportunity to add some action adventure to the ride

The indoor sections are pretty solid, but it wouldn't be the 'best themed rapids' for me - I'll always love Barge Rats at IoA

besides the squirts of water, not that much rapids… but, i’m ok with that…
Still a cheap overlay of what used to be Neverending Story. Slap a beard on Pyornkrachzark and you have a brand new stone giant.
