Your videos are excellent, with the best heavy-haul content. I'm pleased at having found your channel. I especially like seeing how the self-steering trailer works.
As usual, you have both outstanding driving and video making skills. Love the details you show and multiple angles. I spent some time in Germany at a CNC machine builder. All the machines went out on steerable trailers. Only the driver so it was all automated.
Thanks for the positive feedback 😊 keeps me going! The trailer I am using is actually an old girl still getting the job done. The locking bar is to prevent the dolley from turning at highway speed so it actually pulls like a 150 foot long trailer. The bar is activated by the lift axle switch in the cab. Newer trailers do not require this safety mechanism.
@@luckybananaheavyhaul3407 yes sir, you are welcome. I never seen that before. I’ve seen like a pintle hook setup on either a trail king or a cozad trailer. It has the self steer like what you’re talking about but once you get straightened up you have to get out an manually lock them together.
You should have stopped in Geneva. There is a great BBQ joint called the Rusted Pig!!! Top Notch food!! I never realized how close you got to me in this trip. I live about 30 minutes south of Geneva in Dundee!!
Amazing! Absolutely amazes me at what we are able to transport. And they really ought to make a sign for the back of the trailer that says "Extra Oversized Load"!
amazing driving and videos! found your channel out of nowhere and im really enjoying the content, that trailer tho it overswings too much for my liking hahahaha
Great video thanks for showing it to us , where did you do that ? Would you like to try to drive the 3 or 4 semi trailers road train rig in Australia one day ?😉
I would love to play with some of those kool Aussy rigs! They need a forign driver exchange program! For this video we were transporting wind tower sections from Quebec Canada to Pennsylvania USA.
No secret 🤣. The back end of the load is sitting on a turn table. When the load turns it puts hydraulic pressure on the wheels to steer in the opposite direction and swing the back end around.
The rear part of the load is sitting on a turn table. When the truck turns the turn table also turns which sends hydraulic pressure to the wheels to steer in the opposite direction. When the truck straightens out and the table returns to its start position the pressure on the wheels is relieved.
I used the audio from the same camera for the entire video. The cameras outside get a lot of wind and background noise and I find it’s not nice. Usually I use the audio from inside the cab so you can listen to some of the radio chatter but the front view camera had a malfunction for this one.
I can see where you want the best of the best handling these loads ! Just curious-do you do a simulated emergency stop just to see how you should handle the real thing ?? This driver is making that look easy 👍

That was awesome how that lock bar fell into place at 5:40. Very cool video sir. 👍🏻

We were all over the finger lakes area. From Cortland, Ithaca up to Waterloo than to Canandauiga and Avon…

Hahaha! Thanks for following 😊
I retired from trucking back in 1995 and it still amazes me how dim witted 4 wheelers are.
Haha people in general!
At least you had beautiful weather!
Thanks for all the videos lb 👍👍 really enjoying the channel 😎😎

@@luckybananaheavyhaul3407 forgot about that step lol now i am
Wow, that's a very big load. Nice Video
Thank you sir 😊
Wow! I do heavy haul every once in while! That was impressive!
Always great to hear from a fellow heavy hauler ✌️
Great video thanks for showing it to us , where did you do that ?

Doug is any footage of the set up and packing down great videos keep them coming Dan from the uk
I don’t have video for this set up yet but I will get some. I will be working this project for the next 4-6 months 😅
Great news I love all the different trailers and equipment setups and stuff you transport merci
I’m lucky in a way I get to play with a lot of different equipment. It means always learning new stuff. Jack of all trades master of none!
Why for example at 6:32 do you move to the opposing lane on that generally straight road? Something to do with ground clearance?
Low wires. This load is 15’8” high
Great driving, it would be nice if you stated where you're hauling the loads.
These towers are moving from Quebec to Pennsylvania. We have over 100 loads to move over approximately the next 4 months.
It looks like fun, but I think I will stay hauling turbines
Somedays it would be easier to work with the same equipment all the time but then these videos would get boring 🤣
That was great how does the autostear work or is it TOP SECRET you could tell me but then you would have to kill me 😂
No secret 🤣. The back end of the load is sitting on a turn table. When the load turns it puts hydraulic pressure on the wheels to steer in the opposite direction and swing the back end around.
@@luckybananaheavyhaul3407 thanks for the info
Could you explain how the trailer steering works.
The rear part of the load is sitting on a turn table. When the truck turns the turn table also turns which sends hydraulic pressure to the wheels to steer in the opposite direction. When the truck straightens out and the table returns to its start position the pressure on the wheels is relieved.
Keep on Jeepin driver 🤘🏻
🤙
Did you mix the pilot car footage with your truck’s engine sound?

What's the load weight and combined weight?
Empty weight 90,000 lbs
Load weight 120,000 lbs
Gross 210,000 lbs
Thanks. Safe travels.
where is this?
The Petro in Waterloo New York
the rear of your load was leaning right side.
WOW super encore. SI tu peux donner des cours contacte moi.

No we don’t do any simulations. It’s all the real thing!
