Thanks Shane. I looked at the programmed pedals but there was always stuff that I didn't need or not enough of what I did need. These seems the way to go. And thanks for your files.
Thanks for sharing. I wonder could you be able to load the percussion loop (as subdivision sound) that you create from the computer into this pad. And start and stop the loop with drum stick stroke or foot pedal to play along with it? Thanks!
You can load a long loop into one spot and use it to play along live. I did that many times with this item. You are limited by total memory, but there’s no time limit on what you load into each spot.
@@RedeyePerc based on what you said that maybe it wont work as i described. I normally create 4 bars of percussion and load it into the roland spd-sx that can set trigger to loop 4 bars back and forth. Start and stop the loop at anytime by hit on the assigned pad or step on the trigger foot pedal. If it works the same way on this small pad, i would love to get one to carry around.
Hi Shane, bought an SPD last night because of your review. Liked some of the sounds you had going so I went to your wav files download page and all of them worked for me but the one I wanted the most, the 808 clap... I tried everything and every setting on my SPD and tried to convert it and it will not play.... Am I doing something wrong??? Can ya help a brotha out??? Thanks man!!!!🤘🤩🤘 Frito
Sorry - I am really far behind on my website due to marching band taking up all of my time. If you send an email to shane@redeyepercussion.com, I will send you the files in the mean time. Take care!
Thanks! The link is on my site, right under the social media links in the grey box. Here's a direct link to the page: www.redeyepercussion.com/SPD1.html
I recall having a problem with the sample rate of the files. I think I had them as 48kHz and they need to be 44.1. Other than that, make sure the file names are exactly as they need to be as stated in the manual. I believe you need a one letter suffix to distinguish between loops and one shot samples. It's been a year since I loaded new sounds, so I'm a little out of the loop, sorry.
@@RedeyePerc I used a couple of wav files downloaded from the link in this video. I also used a few wav files downloaded elsewhere. No sound, except for one attempt which resulted in the gong file playing in locations other than where I stored it. I guess I will wipe it clean and give it another try and make sure I have the files labeled correctly. Thank you for the assistance!
I need to be able to take an output from the pad to my monitor and also an output to the band PA for playing live - is there anyway of doing this (there is only 1 output?)
Awesome review and playing. Great variety of examples!
Thanks!
Great review. Lots of great information and great playing as always.
Thanks! I appreciate it.

You did a really good job on this demo, more demo's should be real world oriented
Thanks!

Very interesting. Never heard of this thing. Might have to get it
I gigged with it a few times now, and it's a lot of fun. Totally worth the money.

Great video where is the link to the downloads? I do not see them on your website.

Hy, How many waves you can record and access in live ?
Yo, are you sure the "horse whinny" is not just a sample of "The Grunt" sped up?
thanks for a practical review and demo.
Thanks Shane great video
You're welcome! Thanks for watching.
So to be clear, can you load custom sounds into all 12 slots?
how do I download the hand claps
Go to redeyepercussion.com and click on “audio files”. All the sounds are there.
Where on your website are the samples? I can't find them. Great video, very thorough and helpful!

you mean right in the middle of the page staring right at me? Don't know how I missed it. Thanks!
Oh great, Shane. Now I'm gonna have to get this damn thing too. Thanx a lot. LOL!
It's sooo worth it man. I don't feel too guilty :)
Any idea why the wav files I added to the pad don't play? Am I making some really simple mistake?

And thanks for making those files available!!!

There are 2 outputs, one for main and on for phones or monitor.
Split it with a DI box if you want to keep the headphone output to yourself
Hello, what source of energy does it have?
It takes 4xAA batteries and also plugs in to an outlet, but the plug is not included.
Im gonna buy a horse and strike it every 2bars..🐴
5:02 WE'RE NOT GONNA TAKE IT
I was learning that song for a video the same weekend. :)
