Awesome! Thank you so much for your candid and truthful videos. Great information for AZ growing. Can't wait to make the trip across town to see your trees. I look forward to meeting you and your 4 legged nursery supervisor.

I believe Mandarin was the original orange variety. Other varieties of citrus were developed by crossing.

Omgosh, thank you for this! Would you recommend mulching the base? My honey mandarin have been in the ground for 2 years but never fruited and has deformed leaves. I made the mistake of plucking all the ugly leaves and cutting the branches. Now, there's barely any left 😭

sorry but i disagree. Citrus needs at least 8 hours of full sun a day, if not more

My manderine tree has grown 8 ft tall but the tree stop grew new leaf. When I first plant my tree, it has healthy leaf, Flowers and fruits in the first 2 year I planted. After 2 years the tree have grown taller branches with no leaf. Flowers in the spring but drop in the summer. The tree is naked but the branch keeps growing taller every year but produce no leaf. I fertilized 4 x a year and got plenty of water but the tree quit growing new leaf. What went wrong?

What oval fruit is the size of an orange but is very sweet , has low or no acidity and the color is not as dark orange as yours are? It is some sort of orange or at least citrus. Thanks

Hi! I really enjoy your content and thank you for sharing all your knowledge! I have six citrus trees on my property. All trees are planted in-ground, tangelo, mandarin, Eureka lemon, and Mexican lime trees are all twelve-plus years old. I also have a navel orange tree that is close to thirty years old. And my newest addition is a ruby-red grapefruit tree, that has been in the ground for close to three years now. They're all fruit-bearing trees, well except for the last tree. I worry about not feeding/fertilizing my fruit trees and now, due to home changes, I'm the sole one to take care of these beautiful trees and I seriously do not want to kill them. I also live in the Phoenix area, so I deep water once a week in the Summer and every other week during the colder months. Can I use the Osmoscote for my citrus trees versus the fresh organic fertilizer? I appreciate your feedback.

@@qctropicals My mandarin, tangelo, and grapefruit trees, I water with a hose, for about 30 minutes each on medium flow. These three citrus trees are located in the front yard, (facing South with full sun), and seem pretty happy since they're a beautiful dark green color, with newer leaves sprouting (not water sprouts.) The Mexican lime and Eureka lemon are located in my backyard, (facing East and North also with full sun.) These two are also watered with a hose for about 30 minutes as well. The Eureka lemon seems to be doing okay but my Mexican lime tree has dropped leaves and looks to be more bare than usual. I feel like I should water them more...What do you recommend?
