- Spring has sprung, with sowings of vegetables and flowers. Blossom and daffodils have started to bloom. This time of year is a great time to start certain vegetable sowings for the coming growing season.

Mixing seeds with sand or compost helps spread them thinly, work well for me.

Yup, normally use a bit of sand. Couldn't find my bag 😂. I can always thin it out as it grows if necessary.

Hi Helen you have done great job so far and look quite a lot ahead of most! Awesome job. I’ve been visiting and working on my plot all through winter! Some days I’ve done very little and some loads depends how cold my hands and feet get! 😂 I’ve got a lot on the go and some ready to go in but obviously holding off! I’m really enjoying my space whatever the weather. Looking forward to your next video. 👍

I'm like you atm, every available space filled with something, potatoes chitting, onion sets in pots, pepper plants, tomatoe seedlings, and I want to sow more, but where to put them. Please weather gods, give us a break as in some dry days please.
That's the problem. March, we have a few sowings. Obviously, apart from the toms and peppers 😂. Then we hit April and its even more. By then I've normally got alot either planted outside. Or a coldframe to free up space. But how much of a wonderful hobby/lifestyle we both have 😍
It's still quite cold here, and the overnight frosts will persist into May. But I turned my soil last week (my garden is not no-dig) and started some of my seeds indoors two weeks ago. I'm going to wait another week or so but once we pass the Equinox I'm going to try sowing my broadbeans and radishes.
It's a busy time of year 👍. Sowings will be thick and fast soon enough
It just wont stop raining here its been like that since last summer 5 or 6 days a week every week since last summer.
