That’s just the level the Prem is at now the same thing applies to Everton.

@@deyanstoychev6344 this is a good point. Suporters expect good players that perform to show loyalty, players that are not even from the same continent as the club.
Then they expect these same players to get a f.... away from the club when they do t perform.
Leicester sign players from smaller clubs, it is just natural that these same players want to move on to an even bigger club within a couple of years. That is just how the football pyramid works. My own club Rosenborg sold off by far the best player we had this winter to Benfica (Casper Tengstedt). Now we are really struggling because we have no players that know how a goal look like but I have no hard feelings because he was way, way to good for us and the Norwegian league.

Two seasons in a row Leicester missed out on the Champions League on the last game of the season, this time we've been relegated but it didn't depend on the last game of the season. Not just getting rid of Schmeichel but not replacing him, and they only got in Faes very late in the window once the season had started if I remember rightly, so they didn't replace Fofana until very late too. I can't think of any time a club has sold a first choice keeper and brought the no.2 in that's actually worked. There's a reason Ward was no.2 and had barely played at all for Leicester until that point.

I'd hope that the brass at LC realize how stacked in talent they are and that all they need is a couple new players and the right manager and they'll come right back up. I could easily see them selling off a ton of talent, though (Iheanacho, Maddison, Vardy, Barnes, Tielemans...basically 2/3 of the starting XI lol), and doing a complete rebuild with younger players from other Championship squads or lower. If they manage to hang on to most of their current squad, they'd have the best squad in the Championship by a freaking mile.
