😮 all I can think is, that's a weapon of mass destruction! I'm amazed by all this technology, the sound quality and just the amount of ways can be achieved.
People who enjoy the channel need to check out the Ragdoll songs "Playing God", "Ashamed" and "Heaven Above" for sure, because the guitar parts are used in most of the gear demos. Personally, I love the Star Trek inspired "Back To Zero" as it's a great sci-fi guitar instrumental that showcases the introspective side of Leon. The song "Shine" is also great with a beautiful guitar solo and vocal from Ryan. The melodic modulation between C natural Minor and C Phrygian Dominant is brilliant and a nice little nod to Georgie Z Lynchmeister. The Purple Monster! 6 channels, stereo effects loop, XLR outputs, not to mention the digital backside and Synergy software. It's great to see all these new products from Synergy, Friedman and now Soldano that marry real tube preamp circuitry with modern digital IR tech to handle the power amp and cabinet/microphone components of guitar sound that make great guitar tone possible for apartment and hotel room dwellers. I can't wait for Vox AC30TB and Fender Twin Reverb tones in this format!
Thank you so much Leon! This is just what I needed as I just purchased the X88IR, mainly because of your video and the videos by Michael Nielsen! I’ll be running my Axe Fx 3 in the loop. Cheers!
@ Yeah man, I’m pumped I’ll be on it this weekend! I wanted to thank you for the last video, it seemed like it was made for me, lol! So I just purchased a ton of Ragdoll music from iTunes, thanks again Leon!
Nice compact setup. If the multieffect has an IR loader, it would probably be better to use that and bypass the IR loader of the preamp. It would be one less AD/DA.
Excellent video Leon. This combination is what I have in mind and now I have an excellent guide to setting it up. I may go a step further and use it in my Voodoo Labs switching system and using Ground Control Pro. If you are considering doing a video showing how to incorporate both in a rack switching system with midi switching, I'm definitely your audience.
I do this with my Helix LT and Marshall JVM and it's really great. But the Soldano obviously gives you way more options than just channel switching and gives you a screen editor, which is a godsend. Even with its limitations, the Helix/Marshall setup using snapshots convinced me that MIDI control is the way to go if you can get it.
Huge thanks as always, Leon! I have the same setup and was looking for a few tips on using it with my VP4 with midi having the vp4 switch things.. I'm running it in 4cm mode as I like a few FX before the preamp.
That is one badass set up bro damn the tones and effects are phenomenal dream rig right there thank you for sharing this amazing gear and your amazing fretwork!!🤟🏻
Crazy amount of info. Wouldn't it be nice to have just one easy sound to play with ! Or find that one special one that tickles your fancy and call it your own by some chance with your one fav axe to keep you happy for under 400 bucks... 🦘 Australia 🌏🌏 😺 awesome Leon !
Hi Leon and everyone. Related topic what rack style noise gate unit would you recommend? It’s been years since I’ve looked at this kind of gear. Thank you for all you do!!!!
@@LeonTodd Hey Leon...I just received my Soldano X88IR and I have not been able to discover how to either simply run my FM9 in the effects loop of the Soldano, or how to properly set up a 4CM between the two pieces. If you are willing to help me out do you happen to have a preset on the FM9 that I could use as a template for either loop only or 4CM? Or, if you are okay with it, I could possibly email you to get more details on how the cabling and I/O setup should best be tackled? Thank you for anything you may be able to do to help!

Thanks for the kind words BG :D
Stereo AC30 would be wild and would move a lot of units for U2 fans alone!

LT what is the rack enclosure thing you have for the soldano? does it have room for a power supply? thanks and really helpful video
Gator shallow. Just enough room
@@LeonTodd thank you sir
Is there a "spillover" when you change presets?🤔
Yes
Has anyone used the SD power stage with Fractal VP4 yet? Looking for some recommendations on 2-3 pedal rig setup. My coffee table rig.
Hi brother Todd 🙏🏻 pls review setup Kemper player with VP4 ❤
Can i control of the cannels of my amp with the vp4?
so you could do this with a Line 6 HX stomp or helix, or the bigger fractals units.. not limited to the Fractal VP4
Absolutely. The VP4 just got new firmware so it was an excuse to rig this up
Fantastic stuff! I am running an FM9, do you think a 4CM would be a more versatile setup to integrate the Soldano X88IR with the FM9?
Totally, that would be amazing
