Thanks! There’s quite a lot rack effects going on. PCM70 is doing circular delays, SPX90 and Eventide Eclipse is doing micro pitch, TC D-Two is on 2290 preset and doing really wide delays. Reverbs are from PCM 91 and preset is called Deep Blue.
Two Notes Torpedo Live doing attenuation only, then signal goes to hx stomp which is doing IR. I used OwnHammer Bogner 412 impulse response (mic’d with 57 and Royer121). I use Hx Stomp for IR’s because there I can blend some DI signal with IR in 80s clean tones.
@rooperiihijarvi cool, thanks! Do you use any cabs in your home studio? What would be best in a home studio environment? I'm building mine soon, that's why. Thanks a lot, I really appreciate it :)
No, in my room there isn’t any possibilty use cabs, because heads are too loud, if I want to have right sound out of those. I recommend to get good set of monitors. If you want bang for buck, check Kali Audio In series and Focal Shape series out.
Of course they shares same nature, but they doesn’t sound exactly same. With X88 you have more options to choose and also channel’s modes are midi controllable.
X88-IR has tons of gain and more compared to the original. I just like boosted sound, where is two gain stages cascading. That's why Bad Monkey is in front of X88-IR.
I have tested both and recorded few songs with the old Joonas Parkkonen's X88. Old one doesn't have that much gain as this re-issue has. I think this re-issue sound great and is very close to the original. 🔥
@ Love Joonas Parkkonen. I Hope he’s doing good. What a fantastic musician. I have Lee Ritenour’s original X88r, recording with it, and comparing with the X88ir, I disagree with your statement! But to each his own 😁
I love the Satch-like intro song. Sounds gorgeous!
Dammmmm Brother. I love everything you have done here. I wish I lived next door to you.
Incredible playing and tones. I hope you do much more. 👌
Man, that was GREAT!! Loved it!!
Great tone! Now, it's time for Fryette to unleash the 2150 again, and for Bogner Fish too...
@@athanasiusdicia117 Yes defitnely! Bring the racks back!
The Fryette and Soldano preamp would be quite a match!
❤
Suhr should release CAE 3+ SE
That first crunch tone is pretty much bang on Atomic Playboys tone, one of my fave from a tone master 😎 lovely tones man👌
man that kicks ass.... thank you. that spx with the verb gets it...
Used to have one of those Valley Arts, the Luke model when I was a kid. Brilliant guitar. Killer tones my friend.
Thank you! Valley Arts guitars are awesome!
Would love to hear your stuff with the direct sound too.
Excellent work🎉
Nice track and playing! Getting some Lukather vibes
Dude! Amazing playing and solo! Would love a transcription, there is some really interesting phrasing going on there
Uusia leluja ❤❤❤
Nice playing
Great video my friend! Love the tone. Can you tell me all of the other effects you were using? Thank you! Keith

@ thank you so much for your reply and help!
10:27 Awesome, which Pickups do u have in that cool GTR!?
EMG 85, 2 x EMG SLV!
hello did you use the overdrive pedal with crunch and lead channel at the end of the video ?thanks
Hi! I just Soldano X88-IR. 🔥
@@rooperiihijarvi Thanks alot great video ..did you plan make a video with more brutal tone from x 88ir?
@@patrickdv2169 Yes, but I got something else in store before this one! Thanks!
Sounds fantastic! What monitoring/cab and recording did you use for this demo?
Two Notes Torpedo Live doing attenuation only, then signal goes to hx stomp which is doing IR. I used OwnHammer Bogner 412 impulse response (mic’d with 57 and Royer121). I use Hx Stomp for IR’s because there I can blend some DI signal with IR in 80s clean tones.

Is there any difference between the SLO-30/100 premaps and the XR88IR preamps?
Of course they shares same nature, but they doesn’t sound exactly same. With X88 you have more options to choose and also channel’s modes are midi controllable.
@@rooperiihijarvi Thank you. I'm trying to decide between the SLO-30 and the XR88IR. Tricky...
You can’t go wrong with either one!
so why do use the Bad Moneky Overdrive. It doesn't have enough gain?
X88-IR has tons of gain and more compared to the original. I just like boosted sound, where is two gain stages cascading. That's why Bad Monkey is in front of X88-IR.
If you had to pick between the X88IR and a SLO 100, which would you choose?
@@davidgray8796 If you are looking great direct tones, then I would go with X88. Both are still great!
Any latency with the digital back-end?
Ofcourse there is some, but max 1-5 ms. I can't feel any latency.
CAE 3+ SE all day. But the x88IR doesnt sound bad!
Both are great preamps! I just love soldano’s middlle range, it’s on right spot, not harsh and pretty effective. 🙏🏻
Great tone and playing!
The original is better.
