It took me about two months to weed myself off of caffeine. It is so addicting. I have anxiety and a sensitive nervous system, so caffeine was like throwing gas on the fire. I'm way more calm naturally now, it took another two months for my mind and body to reach a natural balance of calm. Mindfulness is a lot easer now too, I use the book called 30 Days to Reduce Stress by Harper Daniels for exercises and can concentrate better without caffeine.
Yup. As my time with Starbucks ended, I ended up having really bad GERD. It was so bad, I had to have 4-6 different doctors appointments, including an endoscopy. :( I tend to stick to mostly tea now. Trying to drink less caffinated teas during my day now too. HIGHLY RECOMMEND Aldi's 'Brenner Ginger Tumeric Tea', especially those of us stomach issue girlies.
I haven't found that herbal tea at Aldi, it would be nice. I did find some Vadham Tumeric tea at Walmart. Reflux is not fun at all, especially the treatment resistant kind that persists. I'm sorry you got that illness.
Fun fact: in the time of revolutions, coffee and chocolate houses were “banned” because they were places to meet others who had the same political beliefs of revolution or government overthrows. Think about it, you don’t want to go to a pub because alcohol DULLS your senses whereas chocolate and coffee HEIGHTENS your senses therefore making you less inclined to tell your plans to anyone. This was also during the time when coffee and chocolate was starting to be more open to the public as well since before only rich ppl could afford these things.
For me coffee causes my limbs to fall asleep to easily. I have to take B-vits and occasional iron and magnesium when I drink coffee to make up for the deficiency it causes. My rule is to drink it only a few times a week to prevent addiction but I screwed up a few months ago and have been waiting for the right moment to endure a day or two of migraines to escape it’s tasty grip.
Coffee/ energy drinks don't have any effects on me. Growing up, I never drank coffee. Now, I drink one or less. But I can't count on caffeine to wake me up. 😅
If I do drink coffee in the morning (which isn't too often anynore these days) I will, at the very mininum, drink bone broth before I drink coffee. It helps to protect the stomach lining and also protects your hormones, particularly for women
Decaf is very sad - I've been trying to get used to it for years since I developed fibromyalgia. I've gone back to a normal coffee every second day. There's definitely a difference between blends in jitters, anxiety and acidity. Lavazza Crema is one of my best, and a local Sourh African low acid blend from Bocca Dolce is also good. What makes me batshit crazy though, is that my son and hubby can drink double espressos late at night and sleep like babies. Sometimes I just have to waft that glorious smell into my face😅
I recently switched from coffee to Black Tea in the Mornings and Green or Herbal Tea in the mid to Late afternoons. The acidic aftertaste of coffee wasn't sitting right with me.
She didn't necessarily say coffee was bad, but of you want scientific evidence about what she said then do your own research. Nothing she said was wrong and actually is backed up by science
She knows because she did her research. Everything she said is true but that doesn’t mean you can’t drink coffee it just means you shouldn’t be drinking it all day everyday.
But… when the coffee is in house roasted, single origin, medium roast, delicious caramel and chocolate notes. It’s all worth it.
FACTSSS!

Watching this while drinking coffee
I always assumed a light roast would be LESS acidic...Stefania is out here doing Gods work!
Former barista here, I said NOPE to everything you said lmao even though you are ABSOLUTELY correct
😂😂😂 The harsh truth we don’t want to acknowledge

Taylors of Harrogate Decaffeinated Breakfast Tea is also a good alternative to regular coffee and tea. Very smooth stuff, still flavorful.

“Don’t pass a kidney stone in a Starbucks bathroom.”
Of course not. I’d go to Dunkin for that.
This made me giggle

I fell for that click bait title, well done 😂

I love a london fog in the morning! 🩶
Had no idea light roasts were more acidic. Must be why I'm not a fan lol.
Yep! That's why the flavor notes come through as more citrusy, it's because of the acidity. :)

How do you know coffee is bad for you are you a scientist? Don’t nobody really know what’s bad for you, so just stop it.😊😮

Because drinking it is a waste when coffee enemas are a superb life hack, fact.
