This example is fairly accurate, I own both the Black Winter and the Lundgren M . The Lundgren has a fatter hairy bottom, both brands are exceptional but both brands of these pickups really vary depending on the guitars density and pickup mounting wells shape and mounting methods. So its good to try them on different guitars....and if you only own one guitar....you have an excellent excuse for buying another one! Lol .

I like Lundgrens growley barky sound the best, but the Solar is a close 2nd.
Black winter sounds a little bit too scratchy. Like the pick attack is overpowering. Maybe that could be great for lighter pickers?
    They all sound pretty good

To be honest the sound dialed here is horrible like every other modern metal sound is. They are all great pickups but I would have definitely dialed more pleasant sound this demo that would tame them more to hear something else than terrible ice pick mids

Good video. I thought they all sounded very very similar with just a little bit more bass from the Lundgren and a little more bite from the Black Winter.

Exactly what I thought! On the chuggier side, the Black Winter seems to lose clarity (in this example). Duncan Solar is the best second hand price value.

I gotta go with the lundy. More dynamic, defined, and tight heavy bottom end.

Not a fan of ceramic high output like black winter, I’m using the Pegasus and based on Ola’s descriptions of his Duncan solar I assume it’s kind of similar to Pegasus? Really want to try the m7 one day, just the price is a bit high and I can definitely tell it have some different taste but not sure if it really have a significant difference from Seymour Duncan’s medium output metal pickup
