During large-scale events in the city, such as the National Day Parade or, in this case, the F1 Night Race, a train might be routed to Outram Park Siding to stand by. This standby train would only be deployed if there is a sudden surge in the crowd and additional crowd relief is necessary.
If the standby train is not needed, it will return to Ulu Pandan Depot.
