- How long did it take to get my British / UK citizenship approval letter?
I would like to share with you the timeline of my application for British / UK citizenship during this pandemic. I know many of us who submitted their application before the pandemic are still waiting for the decision from the Home Office.
Here, I shared my own experience and waiting time to give you an idea on the events that happened between my submission and when I received the decision letter.

I followed your videos and I applied the citizenship myself and this morning I received a confirmation letter from the home office stating that my application has been approved
I just got my application approval letter! Thanks for your videos. I have booked my virtual ceremony and started on my application for my BRITISH PASSPORT!! I can't wait to start TRAVELLING THE WORLD WITHOUT A VISA!!!!!
The day I received my approval, my eyes were filled with tears because I remembered my immigration struggles and couldn't believe that day would come

If your not comfortable doing yourself - i suggest let a solicitor do it and it charges from 300£ to 500£ . But it makes process really stress free and solicitors are in contact with home office panels regularly.

Yes. Home Office have been catching up with their backlogs. This is what I have read on forums and groups about visas. Thanks for watching and all the best on your application.

Travel documents most countries you would need a visa, best spend money on natratulisiton for citizenship
@@amirahabdi yep agreed thanks! Better to wait few more months and apply for citizenship rather than spending an extra £280 just for a travel document!
Yeah plus visa money too and most countries you need visa so all that money might aswel save it
But also with citizenship you can’t never know when you will get decision on your application some applicants are waiting for over a year,
So if you need something urgent then travel documents I would think is a lot faster (not sure never done it)
I was waiting for a decision for a very long time like years, but everyone is different

Hi I applied for my 2kids but they are born in pakistan. The home office asked for somemore documents. I set them and they have sent me them back. But still haven't hear off them yet. What can that mean I'm so stressed, just thinking about it
I saw on one of your videos you did a life in the Uk test is that done before you apply online. And how does one know they are required to take the test. As an Irish person I’m unsure as to whether I am exempt.
Hello. Yes, it was done before I applied online. Life in the UK test was one of the requirements when I applied for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR). It is a requirement again for my Citizenship application so I used that same Pass Notification Letter on this application.

Hello. It depends on your ILR. If you got it as a spouse of British citizen you can apply for citizenship the next day. Otherwise, you need to wait for 12 months.

It normally takes 3 to 4 weeks I heard some he got his in 3 weeks. It’s all depending on Luck really 🙏

Sorry to hear this. I have seen some applicants still waiting from September 2019 and Dec 2019. Have you tried contacting the Home Office?
My Biometrics were on the 5th of September and the Email of application acceptance came at the end of December, other friends that have applied 2 weeks later only received last weeks, so for all of you watching these videos, be patience, of there is anything they need they will call, they've called me for more supporting documents and while the call was with the withheld number [no number], a few minutes before the call you will get a confirmation email that they need more, also the other end will confirm things that only you and let's say your bank would know. I haven't received any letter just the official confirmation email from the immigration department.

I applied mine 4 august 2021 biometrics 5 October and received approval 12 March. I’m now waiting for the ceremony date
I didn't upload my referee forms because I thought they would have me send them in physically since my referee wrote my name and date of birth at the back of the passport photos before glueing the to the forms. I am so nervous of being refused and losing all that money. Do you think they will give me a chance to upload them before making a decision? I really wish i found out about this channel sooner

More news related to this process. I have quite a few of my friends that have received the email from the Immigration service yet no email or mail from the local authority. If more than 8 weeks have passed from the moment you have received your email from the Immigration service call the local authority Registry office with the reference from the email that you have received, with that reference they can locate you and schedule you for the ceremony of actually getting the citizenship certificate

Hello. There should be a reference number at the top right corner of your brp card. That’s the reference number of your brp card.
@@TheWooloffs I got naturalisation certificate now I need to cut my BRP card and send it to home office and in the letter is says I need to provide my full name date of birth and document number so document number will be my BRP reference number on top right corner right ?

@@anishshah9775 Yes. On the letter, it will ask you to contact your local council to book for the ceremony. It should contain their contact details.

Guys I have applied for my naturalisation paid, then I uploaded ALL the documents to UKVCAS literally the very next day!
Now my biometrics are on the 20th December in 6 days, do they make the decision before or AFTER you have given your biometrics?
My brother literally got his decision in 2 weeks and didn’t even need to give biometrics but that was 4 years ago, I paid and sent everything off on the 26th November.
