It looks like their going to do a Akira Kurosawa. Where their going show what happen on Brendok over, and over again but from different points of view.
It’s very obvious we will be getting another flashback to see how everyone got killed. The Jedi that takes the poison has a scar on his eye when Osha wakes up on the ship. So something went down we haven’t seen yet
Are you sure he has the scar/wound? Interestingly in the trailer/tv spot there is a clip of Kelnacca jump attacking Torbin with his saber aiming at that spot where the scar is.
@@yorkie9905 oh yes I’m sure I watched the episode twice and when OSHA wakes up on the ship he’s in the background he’s a bit blurry but he clearly has a scar on his eye that he didn’t have earlier in the episode
It was a religious ritual they were doing. I grew up in the Pentacostal/Charismatic section of Christianity and I can tell you there's a lot more laughing and screaming in your average worship service than there was here 😂😂😂
Cause it didn't lol this episode is completely from "a certain point of view" 😂 We will be getting another flashback or some dialogue later on explaining what actually happened
@@bctalkspodif it was a particular character’s flashback, then I would agree. But there were no bookends of a particular character to suggest this was a flashback. Also, there were multiple viewpoints. This does not qualify as a flashback, so the “a certain point of view” argument falls flat.
@rogersjgregory Its obvious it's Osha's post of view. We miss alot of information, including Mae's test and other important conversations. We also see Torbin with scars at the end of the episode, but since we follow Osha's POV, we have no clue why. This episode showed Osha's perspective of the past, or a straight up misinformed or misremembering of the past.
Kristian, I believe there is more to this story and we will continue to see flashbacks...maybe not entire episode length but there are definitely holes to fill. For instance, where did Sol come from during the fire and where were the other 3 Jedi? We saw Mother Aniseya's body laying dead but never saw the girls other mother, Koril. Finally, did you notice Indara padawan's face messed up on the ship? How did that happen? He was in the background. They are definitely coming back to Brendok again for more explanations on that fire starting. One diary page on fire couldnt do that.

I genuinely can’t work out if I like or dislike this show. Some parts have me really, really invested but other parts have me rolling my eyes. I will say though the child parts have me really worried for Skeleton Crew!!!!
Ya, same. I think the main story I'm really intrigued in. Clearly, we were only meant to see one point of view of the events. I'm sure we'll see/learn what else happened. Both from the Jedi pov and Mae's perspective. I'm just worried the ending and the resolution to everything is gonna be lazy/predictable. Hoping not though. But ya a lot of poor dialogue and thought some parts look good visually, most of it is still poor. I
@@AMIN_mashI just think it’s a certainty that the guy helping Mae in episode 2 with be the Sith. I really hope I’m wrong and it’s someone we don’t know.
I'm exactly the same man. Normally I'm the eternal optimist and always willing to give everything a chance, but also the belief you can't fully judge a series until you've seen the finished article. That being said, 3 episodes in this is the one SW series thus far that is worrying me. It's not absolutely dog shit, but it's far from being good either. I also don't like criticising child actors, but I struggled with the young Osha and Mae. Apart from Sol, I am struggling to like or care about other characters. After reading back what I have written, I sound like I'm in the dislike zone, but I still have hope (a fools hope maybe) in 5-6weeks time I'll have positive thoughts overall. It reminds me of Rings of Power in some respects - they have spent a load of money, but I'm questioning where, clunkly dialogue, weird decision making, canon out of the window and the story falls flat. I sincerely hope I'm wrong
@@Ripple1111 ya agreed but if TV shows like this have thought us anything, it’s usually not someone we haven’t met. (Unfortunately). Honesty though I don’t know if I would rather have it be him, or one of the mothers. I guess it depends on how the execute it
This is one of those shows that I have to turn off my brain to watch. Otherwise I would be questioning the logic for every decision being mad and go down a rabbit hole that never ends. So far the show is not my cup of tea, but I will watch episode 4 to see if more is revealed or if it is as predictable as the sun rising in the east.
I grew more attached to all of these characters in this episode than the last 2 combined. And now they add a great level of intrigue by introducing an apparently new coven of witches that aren’t the Nightsisters.
Does anyone else feel like they’re walking a thin line with canon when it comes to how the girls were conceived? It seems they were created with some sort of force magic, maybe sith magic, and that sounds very similar to how Anakin was created. I know it’s a little different because the mother is the catalyst with the girls, but still. AnaKin was conceived with no father…you know…chosen one and all.
She was born with the power of being an abomination. That is, a ltbgiaq+ kid. Or in other words… not real. Cuz ya know, two women can’t create life. No matter how hard they g@y. And this show g@ys it up hard core.
I think the mother witch with the horns will be who is under the mask, but won't be called or considered a Sith in the show. That would seem to be their way of not messing with canon. Because Sith see the force in the same way as the Jedi, but she clearly aligns with the Thread concept of the Force so not a true Sith thereby keeping canon intact.
The first two episodes were pretty good but this episode was great. Visuals, dialogue and performances were definitely on point. Looking forward to the next episode.
i very much doubt that this coven has anything to do with the dathomir . . . unless im mistaken the dathomir are essentially one race. . this group has multiple races
I think we'll at least see Mae & Sol's. I would have loved to see the Padawan's POV but he offed himself out of guilt which makes him extra suspicious lol
In other news, Andor is fricking fantastic on rewatch. Just give Tony Gilroy the entire franchise and give us only OT trilogy content for the rest of my life at this point. They can't get anything or any other timeline right
Fuck no, Andor is great but has the least star warsy vibe out of all shows, and that what sets it apart. "give us only OT trilogy content for the rest of my life" this is just plain stupid gatekeeping
@@matheusfernandes2102 Season 2 will have hella OT vibes. I really hate that word gatekeeping. It literally means nothing. I posted my opinion, and some people agreed. The end. You don't have to agree with me, not like I give 2 shits one way or another. Gatekeeping doesn't exist
@matheusfernandes2102 you're insane if you think Andor doesn't have a Star Wars vibe but this trash does... Andor is closer to the OT, you know, the original trilogy all this is based on, than ANY of this utter trash.
Not all episodes cost the same. This episode walks so another can run. Maybe there’s a big “Battle of Blackwater” moment later that required more to make.
@@yorkie9905 maybe. Better be epic or at least could have gotten a better fake beard for torbin. Watch it again and tell me that’s not a Halloween costume 🤣
Im 50/50 on this show. Like obviously there are good ideas here but the execution just isn't there for me. I thought this episode had very weak direction as well, still intrigued tho.
Still a lot more questions that need answering but I for the most part liked this episode. There are some eye rolling moments like the fire burning the brick building down and Mae going from sister to very violent in seemingly a span of a few hours...
We are seeing the fire from OSHA’s perspective, there is no way burning the diary in a corridor, led to the explosion of an underground reactor. More has to be at play for Jedi Master Crix Madine and his beard took his own life.
No different than Qui Gon in the Prequels lol Sure he "freed" Anakin. But he went through a great deal of deception and trickery to get Anakin in the position to be freed. He could have put similar effort into trying to convince Watto to free Shimi but she wasn't Force sensitive so he didn't try as hard lol
@@bctalkspodWatto couldn’t be influenced by Jedi mind tricks. Qui-Gon tried to get Shmi freed to, but Watto wouldn’t allow it. Qui-Gon was rescuing Anakin from slavery, because he was the Chosen One. Every depiction of Jedi recruiting children to be trained, has always been giving them the choice. They do not kidnap or snatch kids from their families. I don’t understand where people keep getting this idea from. Did someone start a rumour?
I’m usually pretty optimistic and hate criticizing other peoples work because it’s often hard to do it yourself better. But to be completely honest, there are quite a few areas I thought this episode could’ve been better. The biggest share of the problems in my humble opinion come during and after the fire scene.
loving it! I thought this episode was a bit slow, but I really appreciate that they didn't just gloss over the past in a quick 10 minute clip. this really dove in, and I think it will have been worth it going forward! let's go!!!
I love how you can see from both points of view why the witches and the Jedi are so wary of watch other. The witches: because they just want to live their lives away from the High Republic and the Jedi. And the Jedi: because they are worried about both the threat of dark force wielders and for the safety and well being of the twins.
I think Kristian is spot on with the Sith master being the culprit of the actual deaths of the villagers and even Mae and Osha's moms. We do see Mae set fire to Osha's quarters, but the level of fire and destruction as well as the deaths of all the villagers happens too quickly and too extensively. It would also have Mae believing that the Jedi murdered unarmed people even if she acknowledges the initial fire was set by her. If the Jedi could sense these two being strong in the Force or exceptional in some way, there's no reason to think the Sith master didn't also come sniffing around. edit: I also hope that Koril isn't the Sith master
Who was Koril looking at in that scene, where she looked up, and the camera focused on what she was looking at, then back at her again. I couldn’t see what she was looking at, so maybe she is in league with someone who did kill them, or sensed someone.
I like the idea that there are groups that are not Jedi or Sith but who understand the force in their own way. You had the dathomir witches and the Degoyan masters in the clone wars, so we know there are groups of people in the Star Wars universe that view the Jedi as child thieves, so it was kind of cool to see that explored and live action.
Agreed. Also based on the conversations they were having this episode I feel like this might be an ultra religious sect of the Witches of Dathomir that got cast out. Just my head canon though idk if that's been confirmed or not
@@bctalkspoddathomirians usually are a species, i’m not sure now after tales of the empire and jfo, but these witches in this show seem to be all different types of witches
@@bctalkspod Or Jedi themselves. They use the darkside, so it would make sense. Jedi have no tolerance for it and if Jedi outcasts were training children in the darkside... Republic or not, the Jedi would see it as their problem to fix.
Tbh I got the whole hide kids as the jedi like to come take them but if you consider them maybe early night sisters then whole convent also makes sense. However, why does it need to be an all female convent if they are not night sisters? Why were these girls born of the force? Why do neither of them have horns of the horned lady was actual mother? Why did her drawings have a Rebel symbol in it? Why did she try and murder her sister? Why did they meet up after the fire started if one wanted the other dead? What was that tube she escaped through? Why did it need hacking when it wasn't damaged? Why was there such a large tunnel behind the tube? Why did the jedi turn up at all when the fire started? How does a fire spread to the core power unit? Why was there fire on a lamp to begin with when they have electrical lighting? The build up to then was OK, but the last minutes were just moronic.
So, I have a out there hypothesis... So, Mother Koril mentions that the Jedi would be upset if they knew how Aniseya brought the twins to life. I wonder if the mysterious Sith master is Palpatine's master (since, timeline-wise, it's a stretch that it's Palps and, personally, would rather avoid Palps being the mysterious big bad, again) and discovers that Aniseya manipulated the Force to create a child (twins in this case) that the mysterious Sith master then teaches to Palps... who then creates Anakin inside of Shmi Skywalker. It's pretty out there, but they dropped hints of it. That the twins' birth was a bit of a miracle/mystery. They make mention of something 'unnatural'... Just a thought.
At this point it would either be Plagueis or his master, unless they blew through a bunch of Sith in 100 years. I'm guessing that the series either ends with Plagueis offing his competition (Mae) to become the apprentice, or them retconning Plagueis in some manner (although I don't think Disney canon officially identifies Plagueis as Palpatine's master, and it is only hinted in ROTS, so no more a retcon than axing the EU).
@@arthurwigglesby8590 I think the events in this series are what set Darth Plagueis on the path to try and create life after having learned it is possible trough Mea.
When I first heard they were making a show called The Acolyte, I just assumed it would be in the vein of those old Dark Horse Maul comics from way back when. Gritty, dark and dealing with the criminal underworld. Perfect setting for a dark side apprentice. The direction Disney chose to go is just mind-boggling. I don't get it.
False advertising at it's best!! They claimed this was going to be frozen meets kill bill but we got book of boba Fett level story! The bloody lightsaber poster just meant the Jedi are murderers not a lot cool fights and deaths! Just deconstruction of what came before it! That's all
I’m pretty sure a big chunk of the Alamo Drafthouse locations outside of Austin are franchisees. I know the ones in Virginia are at least. Wonder how or if this deal will effect them?
It’s only a big deal when it pertains to Anakin. This isn’t just them trying to take away the importance of Anakin being the Chosen One. Pretty pathetic
@@LordVader66 the force made Anakin on its own as a response to plagueis trying to do what these witches did, assuming his book is still canon, so he’s still the only one “chosen” by the force itself
Honestly it's really dumb this random witch coven in hiding figured out how to create life with the force while so many others failed. Seems completely unnecessary and this in the lore
The gall on the showrunner to blame hate for this episode on... hate. This episode was one of the strangest, nonsensical episodes in TV history given its huge budget. It has nothing to do with space lesbians.
Bro! Thank you for this reaction and response … I’m gonna re watch it again … the questions you ask and the commentary re assures my love of this galaxy and love of the Star Wars …
This episode was an IMPROVEMENT. I'm very excited to see what's coming. I have to say, I don't think they're Sith, its just gonna be dark force wielders like the inquisitors so it's unfair to compare it to the rule of 2. I do wonder Kristian, why do u think one of the witches shouldn't be the "sith"? Maybe the mother with horns dabled with the dark side, i think itd be interesting enough
Could have swore in advance KH said he really enjoyed episode 3. Hope he isnt backing off that now because of others reaction. Just judging by the thumbnail for now.
Surprised you think the ending is what actually happpened, most people are so confused they assume it must be just OSHA’s clouded memory of it. Interesting ep but presents more questions than answers, in a good or bad way? Im not sure yet
I think the scene where mother Koril took Mae for a walk after the altercation with Osha has something to do with the burning and killing off the coven. And maybe she had help or influenced by the sith. Mother Koril will then end up on Dathomir and creating another cult there. I think the sith would make some of the coven attack on the 4 Jedi that night. That’s when the Jedi realize they should rescue the girls from their mothers but ended up somehow wiping them off.
Torbin's guilt was so immense that he took poison and committed suicide, which suggests that he secretly carried out some orders. In a previously released promo, there's a scene where a Wookiee Jedi attacks Torbin, which hints at a conflict among the four Jedi over some issue.
I like it so far and I’m curious to see where it goes. I think this show it’s like an onion, it has to be peeled off layer by layer! Great show as always Kristian!
Man, this episode was SO bad that is making me reconsider my future with Star Wars. I'm done with this series and probably done with the next few things... I will watch the movies and that is is.
I’m really liking this series. I didn’t hate Asoka but do like this much more. I love that we have a new story line not connected to things we already know. Wow the toxicity over this series is through the roof. Thanks for keeping this civil Kristian, that’s why I watch you… despite you being a little nutty over the UFO stuff :). Keep doing what you are doing brutha.
This episode is exactly what I wanted from this series. An examination of the Jedi’s role in the galaxy, and how their goals of peace and justice can be perceived as oppression by some.
@@JGfromSpace. Hm. I don't really understand that argument, considering the fact that they often behave very different from the Jedis in this series. Or at least different from the Jedi values that we were told before.
@@bobbyybouchee the prequels were all about the mistakes and downfall of the Jedi. It’s been a fundamental element of Star Wars storytelling since 1999. This series is picking up that baton and running with it.
Enjoyed this episode, love getting some back story to the twins. I feel like after Ma started the fire, the Jedi came to rescue and the other witches thought they were attacking them and the Jedi took most if not all them down. Maybe Ma saw the battle went back for Osha and then Ma fell but did not die and she thought Jedi killed her family and sister. Then a sith comes in and gets Ma and trains her. I hope we get another flash back from the 4 Jedi's point of view or from Ma's point of view. Liking this series so far, enjoying it. Can't wait for episode 4.
It’s crazy so many people saw this and immediately thought the small fire, lead to that large explosion. Like it’s obvious that that’s not what happened.
To be honest, I thought it was odd, too, but... I wonder if the Jedi were aware of these two young Force users, if the mysterious master wasn't also tracking these two and stepped in to, literally, fan the flames and even kill the rest of the coven. Yes, we see Mae start the fire and we're shown she has darkness in her, but I just don't see her taking out the entirety of the coven on her own.
I love Sol. He was the bright spot of this episode and the scene with the jedi meeting the witches was really well done. Awesome tension and great music (not the chanting). But that's only small bits of this show, and it's overshadowed by the very paint by numbers drama that lacks the unpredictability which makes the story feel very dull. I also don't think I'm vibing with the focus on kids/teens. Personally that's not very interesting in Star Wars. I love it in horror/thriller though. Which Amandla has thrived in as a random sidenote.
Last thing I'll say, most of us took in the OT as, what at the time was one complete story leading us to become fans. Let's see the full story before damning this thing to hell. We may find out how Anakin came to be potentially setting up a possibility of him being damned from birth.
I’m surely missing your point: the movies of the original trilogy weren’t good movies in & of themselves but only became beloved as a whole? Before it seems as though you’re saying each episode of this show/miniseries shouldn’t be judged on its own merits 🤷🏼♂️
@benz3685 The OT can be and are appreciated as stand alone films, but they're looked at what was considered at the time a full story. All I'm asking is for people to take in the whole story before saying their done.
This episode was actually really good and interesting! I like how they deelved deeper into the lore and world building, i have no issue with the witch angle and the whole idea that they use dark side energy in their magic. That little palpatine easter egg is great!
Clearly we have yet to see a significant amount of what actually happened. We don’t even see the Jedi outside of sol once the fire starts. Also fair to assume the sith will be involved, probably taking advantage of the fire and the tense situation to cause havoc.
I know they're not in the Republic, but if these witches are darkside using exiles, as they claim, then the Jedi would take them on - but I feel this is more to do with thinking a coven of darksiders suddenly has two little girls out of nowhere. I suspect the Jedi were assigned to Brendok to monitor the coven. But I like that they didn't outright claim the Jedi steal children. It would just break the whole point/mood/tone of the Jedi in the fictional universe. Which I think is important to keeping that Star Wars feel.
In 3 episodes we had Campfires in space - Obese Jedi - A Jedi killing himself - Space lesbians making babies with The Force - An all female musical scene - A stone temple built on rock burning down - The retcon of The Chosen One prophecy
This episode felt a little like an episode from SW: Visions. The Jedi can show you the galaxy but at the cost of separation from your family. The emotion hit more in Visions.
Maybe I'm dumb but who killed all the witches? I thought there was some great lines in this episode though. When she says "This is about power and who is allowed to use it" and when the other mother calls the Jedi "Deranged monks" lol i thought that was great
Perhaps the jedi, or some third party. Causer how did that one padawan guy get that sky. A lot more happened that will no doubt be shown/revealed later.
I wasn't feeling this episode I was excited cause I remember you saying this one was good but it just didn't hit for me. At first I was excited cause I thought we were goign to get some Night Sister origin/spin off... but then they're doing the same thing as Jedi? She even damn near quoted Yoda when explaining the thread. I was hoping to see some cool magic-Force stuff but instead we got push/pull and mist from the eclipse. They set this up to be like a reveal of what happen but didn't show anything concrete that we didn't already know... now we just know the details of how it went down. Idk I'm not gonna drop the show cause I'm too invested in SW overall to drop a show or movie... but my care for this show keeps dropping more and more.
Mostly enjoyed it, that ending felt rushed but maybe they’re waiting to reveal something for later. That chanting was very silly though but I liked the character development in this one
Love the episode. Gives a lot of context and expands the characters and world. Creates new questions. The show so far is a win for me. I hope they don't drop the ball.
I really liked this episode. The acting...ok...theyre kids..but showing this faction of a cult, that may have stemmed off the Path of the Open Hand and the Nightsisters was fantastic. Shiwing the Jedi as Knight Crusaders and snuffing out force users that didn't practice the same way they did was really intriguing.
It's the worst part of the episode for me. The only mystery there was how it was approved, edited, and finalized how it was. There's no future episode able to explain that.
@@captainDJ87 a walking dog man that growls and yet ppl understand his every word and intention is also weird. And yet, we lovingly call that creature chewie. Go bother someone else with your bad faith comparisons…
I like that these Force users were a little different. It's like the Jedi access the Force a certain way, the Dathomir Witches access the Force in another way, this new coven of Witches access the Force in yet another way, like different religions.
I think this is Osha's memory of what happened and it's pretty likely that the jedi killed the witches. As for the rule of two, from what I've heard that Headland said the Acolyte is essentially Ventress. Either they help the apprentice overthrow the master, replace the apprentice or get the Ventress treatment.
The witches didnt look like they died by fire, could the Sith character have killed them and told May that the Jedi did it? Only thing that bothered me was not using the force to save both sisters, could've thrown May to safety and used piwers to help pick up Osha instead of struggling by hand. Ps it was interesting hearing the lasses full names....oh and I don't think they are Dathomir witches
That episode is the biggest pile of Bantha dookie that Disney has ever created out of my beloved SW universe. Here is what I learned: - Apparently, stone is incredibly flammable in this universe, not to mention combustible - The Jedi are bad! - The Jedi are good! - Wiches like to do weird uncomfortable chanting performance art and bring hyenas along to laugh in the background for some reason - Mae is on a revenge tour of the Jedi because SHE tried to kill her sister (to stop her from leaving?) and burnt the STONE fortress down What in the living Force is going on here? I... I just can't anymore. Good job Disney, you broke me.
Given that it’s only episode 3, I think future episodes will likely reveal a different perspective (Mae’s) of those events. For example the witches did not appear to have been killed by fire. They looked to have been murdered some other way. I don’t think Torbin would have killed himself because Mae set a fire.
There's no coming back, maybe wait till it's all out, cleans yourself with Empire Strikes Back, and then revisit it. The more you eye roll and say What??? Through the episode, the more you miss. Plus, like we all kind have wanted...it's in a different era. So this is referring to a lot of High Republic stuff. Metamorphic Rock that contains sulfur, carbon, or hydrogen can combust. Not sure what the makeup of that mountain/volcano looking thing was But this isn't Star Trek Sci Fi. This is Star Wars.. Fantasy,
sounded like lightsaber noises when osha was walking through the tunnels and then heard destruction above her. then when sol was talking to osha about what happened, i think he said "it destroyed everything". def more going on here, but it's so uninteresting. it feels like a mystery by numbers.
I thought the first two episodes were just okay, but this episode was very disappointing to me. The acting and writing was pretty bad. There were several moments that were very unintentionally funny. That one witch randomly laughing and screaming was bizarre and made me cringe.
Mae started the fire, but the Jedi killed the witches. That's why the guy killed himself. Why they killed them I'm sure will come later. Maybe it was a witch all along, which is why Mae has been told to use nothing more than hand to hand weapons.
Zoikes !!! How bad was that...!!?? Honestly couldn't believe what I was seeing - even after being prepped by Episodes One and Two. Heart breaking to see Star Wars in such a state.... 😢
As a life long SW fan, going 50, I liked this episode. It has lore, heart and the best writing,so far. A pretty good ep 3 in a 8ep series. Not everyone has to like it but at least be critical instead of calling everything "woke". Of the millions of species you're telling me none are non hetero? I'm more interested in what really happened to their coven. We only see it through Oasha? perspective. Not directed to you Harloff, you're a good human.
Well they tried their best to discredit Anakin being the chosen one that failed, now this is their attempt to discredit his birth by telling us any one could replicate it…
A powerful force user manipulating midichlorians to create life is not the same as the force itself creating life via virgin birth. A for effort though.
I think they are going for a Darth Plagueis connection. He tried to create life with the force, and I think he might started studying how after finding out that it could be done through Mea.
@@darklorddysart it has everything to do it! They literally just tried to make his existence not special, how you don’t realize that baffles me. Its how they get away with this sneaky shit

Simply because they also have a mysterious birth with no father? Need a bit more for the twins to apply to the prophecy and even if they did, nothing changes about Anakin.
I definitely do not think that the Sith is one of the witches. I think that it is someone who Mae went and tried to go and find to learn the ways of that more dark side path. Or maybe the Sith came across her at one point and could sense it in her. Although again, we don’t have the context for a lot of things just yet so we have to wait and see.
my guess is that whoever it is they have a Darth Plagueis connection. So Darth Plagueis became aware of the possibility of creating life trough the force trough the events in this show.
I don’t think Jedi would have sought out kids that were as old as Mae and Osha. They only reluctantly took Anakin in the Phantom Menace because Qui-gon decided to take him on himself
The coven made the mistake of trying to raise the twins as the same person. You read it on reddit all the time how that separates twins more than brings them together. I do like that the Dathomari aren't the only witch coven in the galaxy.
I'm 100% confident the Dark Side character is Mother Aniseya. There's one shot in the trailer that sold it for me after watching this episode. Your commentary is absolutely hilarious! Never change that, Kristian. The episode overall was a 5 out of 10 for me. It just seemed like a lot of stuff we've already seen. Examples would be the Nightsisters, Anakin's birth, and possible Dyad in the Force. Sure, it connects things. I just didn't feel like it executed that well. If we see Plagueis or Tenebrous at all, it will be in the very last episode or episodes. I don't think we will. Sol is absolutely the standout in this show, and he is great. Also, the extreme jump of Mae going from I don't like your decision to I'm going to kill you was extreme and way fast. She went from zero to psychotic in .000002 seconds.

Cause it didn't lol this episode is completely from "a certain point of view" 😂 We will be getting another flashback or some dialogue later on explaining what actually happened
Let alone a building built out from stone.
@@bctalkspodif it was a particular character’s flashback, then I would agree. But there were no bookends of a particular character to suggest this was a flashback. Also, there were multiple viewpoints. This does not qualify as a flashback, so the “a certain point of view” argument falls flat.
@@rogersjgregory it literally says "16 years earlier" at the start of the episode, how it this not a flashback? lol
Agreed, this flashback was mostly from Osha's perspective. We will be getting an explanation from either Sol or Mae's perspective soon

I will say though the child parts have me really worried for Skeleton Crew!!!!
Hopefully it's more Stranger Things calibre of acting than this.
Welcome to Star Wars
You mean a stupid show.
I figured Shmi was concealing a trauma. Then Plagueis did it... then not. Now in-utero cloning spells are a thing.
Anikan was created by the force... These sisters (clones) were made by ways that some say are unnatural
It completely breaks the lore and is stupid.
@@Sam-jx8tv which lore?
The "Sith" is 100% going to be one of the witches and it's going to pss people off.
My money is on the shifty poison boi. But It could also be the horny lady.
It's probably the Zabrak mother.

@@arthurwigglesby8590 For sure. They have enough wiggle room, too. With the time window, this could even be Sidious' master's master.

That's all

Did he not pick up on the fact that the "Force" was used to create the twins, or is it that it's not a big deal?
It’s only a big deal when it pertains to Anakin. This isn’t just them trying to take away the importance of Anakin being the Chosen One. Pretty pathetic

Yes man keep show reaction vids coming. Side note would be funny to have Brett or a guest watch with you
Torbin was looking down his light saber like a hose and turned it on. 👁🎆

To be honest, I thought it was odd, too, but... I wonder if the Jedi were aware of these two young Force users, if the mysterious master wasn't also tracking these two and stepped in to, literally, fan the flames and even kill the rest of the coven.
Fully checked out after this episode
I know they're not in the Republic, but if these witches are darkside using exiles, as they claim, then the Jedi would take them on - but I feel this is more to do with thinking a coven of darksiders suddenly has two little girls out of nowhere. I suspect the Jedi were assigned to Brendok to monitor the coven.
But I like that they didn't outright claim the Jedi steal children. It would just break the whole point/mood/tone of the Jedi in the fictional universe. Which I think is important to keeping that Star Wars feel.
Looking forward to seeing how this all plays out.

That episode is the biggest pile of Bantha dookie that Disney has ever created out of my beloved SW universe. Here is what I learned:
- Apparently, stone is incredibly flammable in this universe, not to mention combustible
- The Jedi are bad!
- The Jedi are good!
- Wiches like to do weird uncomfortable chanting performance art and bring hyenas along to laugh in the background for some reason
- Mae is on a revenge tour of the Jedi because SHE tried to kill her sister (to stop her from leaving?) and burnt the STONE fortress down
What in the living Force is going on here?
Not sure what the makeup of that mountain/volcano looking thing was
But this isn't Star Trek Sci Fi. This is Star Wars.. Fantasy,
It's almost like we don't know the entire story.
@@Buckeyesteve10 Man, I hope later episodes clean this up. A new hope...
Sounds like you hated it before it started, why waste your time watching it and more time bitching about it? Get a life.
sounded like lightsaber noises when osha was walking through the tunnels and then heard destruction above her. then when sol was talking to osha about what happened, i think he said "it destroyed everything". def more going on here, but it's so uninteresting. it feels like a mystery by numbers.
wouldnt be shocked if the jedi padawan guy that the witches brainwashed for a moment was a big part of what happened to the witches.
I thought the first two episodes were just okay, but this episode was very disappointing to me. The acting and writing was pretty bad. There were several moments that were very unintentionally funny. That one witch randomly laughing and screaming was bizarre and made me cringe.
Also everyone is taking this version of the story as the gospel, there will be other POVs right now i think this was just Osha's.
Mae started the fire, but the Jedi killed the witches. That's why the guy killed himself. Why they killed them I'm sure will come later. Maybe it was a witch all along, which is why Mae has been told to use nothing more than hand to hand weapons.
Great reaction and review. Enjoyed your take and perspective
This has nothing to do with the chosen one prophecy. Firstly it talks about a male, and secondly its whole point is to bring balance to the force.
@@darklorddysart it has everything to do it! They literally just tried to make his existence not special, how you don’t realize that baffles me. Its how they get away with this sneaky shit
@@aeneasjay5773 why is Anakin special, because of what he does or because some think he fills the role of a prophesied “chosen one” ? And how does two girls destroy that?
@@edwinsuijkerbuijk5106 right like maybe whoever the Sith is that Mae is under sensed that in her and took her in for that reason.
I don’t think Jedi would have sought out kids that were as old as Mae and Osha. They only reluctantly took Anakin in the Phantom Menace because Qui-gon decided to take him on himself
They wouldn't as the prequels clearly established. Don't feel like these writers really understand Star Wars
Or maybe because taking OSHA at this age goes poorly is why they don’t want to take Anakin at a similar age 100 years later
That mysterious masked Sith is 100% going to be the mother...
The coven made the mistake of trying to raise the twins as the same person. You read it on reddit all the time how that separates twins more than brings them together. I do like that the Dathomari aren't the only witch coven in the galaxy.
I think Lee Jung-Jae has been absolutely fantastic in this show. He brings so much depth to Sol. Great choice of actor!
UAP Tuesdays has replaced Star Wars as my obsession. David Grusch is my Luke Skywalker, David Fravor is Obi Wan, Ryan Graves is Han. Sean Kirkpatrick is Vader.
