Yeah I've found that this is the one that is much more gentle than the apricot scrub. I use this twice and week and the apricot once when I really want to get into my pores.
This was my holy grail. When I used it my skin was clearrr afff. I started using chemical exfoliants because physical scrubs were frowned upon by the skincare community, and I started breaking out like craZy. So, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it
I am so happy that you reviewed this and actually approved of it! My skin loves this stuff but since learning that physical scrubs are usually frowned upon in the skincare community (in comparison to chemical), I have felt kind of guilty by continuing to use this 😅
It has salicylic acid in the ingredients if im not mistaken. i tried it on my hands but i think this will be too harsh for my dry skin. Oily/comb skin would love this.
kyoru - I have dry skin and it’s not as half as harsh as my Neutrogena Charcoal Scrub. Even though both have salicylic acid, this one is so gentle. I love using it.
I have normal skin on the drier side, and I just used it for the first time and lemme tell you.. It made my skin feel so smooth and not dry in any way! It also made my bumps smaller and got rid of the redness around them.
For everyone that's watching. On the package it says 100% natural exfoliant. Meaning the exfoliating Parts aren't plastic. The exfoliating parts are 100% natural. Everything else in it, is not including the fragrance. Just thought I should throw that out there.
I just bought this! I don’t like physical scrubs either but every now and then I like to remove some dead skin cells, especially during winter months like now here in Australia. I just needed something cheap, simple and effective to use once a week and even once every 2 wks... so thanks for your review of this product, James 🙏🏽
I'm so sad lol. I bought this scrub because of how gentle he said it was. Since this was uploaded, St. Ives changed the formula and added walnut shells and it didn't say that on amazon :))) So in case anyone is deciding whether or not to get it, just know that now they have walnut shells in it which is way too harsh on the skin
That's strange because I bought it today. It's the new packaging (I'm not sure if the formula changed) but it looks exactly like James' scrub. The formula is gentle as well and has no visible "scrubby" particles.
For thick and oily skin (not!!! sensitive or active acne), I would recommend applying the scrub to dry skin, moisten the fingertips, and then gently massage. A wet face dilutes the product and reduces its benefits.
Agree. It's just a suggestion. Everyone can choose the "scrub" level according to the feeling and skin type. Personally, I found it more effective to do this on dry skin.
I am in love with the scent of this product. After hearing so many bad claims of st. Ives exfoliators, I switched from using this product from my face to my feet. I can't give it up just yet. XC
I've seen a product by Innisfree called the "No Sebum Mineral Powder". It's on amazon for about £7, as someone who has similar oily skin, I was interested to hear your review on this product because I am one in a constant battle against black heads. Thank you!
I like this scrub. I only use it like once a week or whenever I remember because I prefer my lactic acid from The Ordinary or PTR Retinol Fusion. Scrubs tend to make my skin angry but I love how this one smells and it’s green and so fine that I don’t mind it lol.🤷🏽♂️
after trying several different exfoliating products for my sensitive skin over the years, I settled on the St. Ives apricot scrub so I find it really interesting that you found it irritating. I'll have to give this green tea one a try!
I just tried it. I most likely should have watched this video before. But oh well. It smells good. It burns me a little but it’s bearable. I hope this works on my face. I have a lot of acne on my face. .
Mackenzie Tune : it shouldn’t burn. That means it might be too rough, or you have an allergy to it. You might want to discontinue the use of it if you notice any breakouts. To me, it just feels cool on my skin.
momi khan : actually, many people say it is safe to use this everyday to every other day. Because it is moderate, and not deep. It is not bad for your skin if you use it more than 2 times other than if you have really sensitive skin. It is safe to use it more than 2 times a week. 💕
Would love to have you try out the Facial Tea or doing the Triple Mask! Moreso the latter one as I really want to hear your suggestions for which masks to use for it.
James Welsh can you please make a video of the garnier men acno face wash cause its the number one mens face wash in the world and I want you to test it before I can buy. It has 6 things in the face wash that can do to face all in one basically 6 in 1 face wash so please do it and buy one to make a video. I hope you make this video. Thank you!
Hi, You should try this. Just always remember to use a much gentler facial wash. Then You can use this 2 times a week if you have a sensitive skin. And add moisturizer always.
I use st ives apricot scrub everyday as I feel its the only face scrub that cleans my face (well my face feels really clean). It is a very harsh exfoliator although I haven't had any problems. I suffer from white heads and oily skin so it works for me
@@rizz1088 lmao I know its not ideal for most people. And I would not recommend this to anyone as I am not a dermatologist however, like I said before my skin is incredibly oily and I get a fresh batch of whiteheads every morning. The oily skin means that my pores are particularly enlarged so keeping them clean means its will help keep them unnoticeable.
I have dry skin and growing up I used to just use this pretty much everyday lol honestly I loved it lol I have grown up and now I use chemicals and wishtrend green tea enzyme powder and it reminds me of the st Ives memories
hey! Alcohols in skincare can be a little confusing especially as we see the word alcohol and immediately presume its bad! In this particular product though, they're safe / not harmful to use. Cetearyl Alcohol and Cetyl Alcohol are both known as 'fatty alcohols' which are 100% non irritating and actually have amazing benefits for the skin. Phenethyl alcohol is usually a derivative of any natural ingredients used in the skincare product and has very very low to no irritation. Acetylated Alcohol is a natural alcohol, and despite being alcohol, it's actually very nourishing and moisturising. So yeah you are fine to use this :)
James Welsh i tried the apricot one a long...... time ago it irritated my skin i have Really Really Really sensitive skin would you suggest this green tea cleanser scrub ?
Can't wait to hear about your experience. For me it took time to see results. I hope you'll have a positive experience with it. Your pores are not that huge to start with, though.

This has salicylic acid so it’s also a chemical exfoliant FYI
Same

Hey James! Thanks for listening to me and trying this out. Glad to hear that you approve it haha. Cheers!
Skin food black sugar scrub mask. It's widely rated as one of the best exfoliators.
It has salicylic acid in the ingredients if im not mistaken. i tried it on my hands but i think this will be too harsh for my dry skin. Oily/comb skin would love this.
kyoru Yeah it works wonders for m my oily acne prone skin
I've got oily skin, and I just got it today.
I hope that it will be effective

I think I heard somewhere that green tea is one of the only few ingredients that can help shrink pores! I'm interested

oh my god!? you hate the apricot scrub??? I love that product!
Apricot is terrible for your skin. You shouldn’t use it
Can you please tell me that how often we have to use it ????
On daily basis or weekly basis....
Twice a week don't even try to use more then this not good for skin.

This product broke me out. I have oily acne prone skin. Also the scrub actually isn't all natural, the exfoliants in it are natural.
Use it once a week
try products from dear, Klairs you’ll love them especially the vitamin c drop and the vitamin e sleeping mask 💙 i know you love korean brands so
LuckyKen yes. And klairs supple preparation toner. Tge best toner
Janrey Buenconsejo so trueeee! that toner is very moisturizing and when applied, it helps with the absorption of the other products that you will use
I recently bought vitamin e mask has I look on cosdna and it has ingredients that can clogged your pores and cause acne. How does it work for you
D.revil Brook i think the only bad thing with it in the cosdna is its fragrance, it actually made my skin brighter, dewy and really moisturized
James Welsh yayyyyy 😋💙
Hi James! Can you try the St Ives oatmeal scrub ? It’s marketed as a gentle scrub
I dont recommend the apricot scrub for the face, but it's too good as a body scrub.. I just love it..
Nice title and concept! And I have been dying to try that scrub. 👌 Try the oil scrub as well from St. Ives. 😊✨
Would love to have you try out the Facial Tea or doing the Triple Mask! Moreso the latter one as I really want to hear your suggestions for which masks to use for it.

Everytime I search for skin care advice, I see Curology ads
Its like a subscription (maybe only US, it probably is) where they will give you a custom treatment for skin problems, such as acne, acne scars, etc.

I bought the oatmeal scrub today. Hope it works well with my oily skin
What I like the apricot scrub :/
Me too.. I have an oily skin, acne prone and nothing worked for me better than this one.
Correct me if Im wrong but one of the ingredients contained in the scrub is triethanolamine which is not good for skin. Sooooooooo, is it safeee?
