I spent a couple of days last week tuning up my John Deere 1330SE 2-stage snow blower. Changed oil, lube impeller/auger, changed out drive belt and auger belt, and replaced the auger chute control switches. Now, I'm ready for the next New Mexico mountain snow that comes along! Did discover that the last time I had it in for a general tune-up, the nimrod doing the work took a short-cut and used a 3/8s belt for the driver and auger positions. Auger position should have had a 1/2 belt instead. My Grandpa Aldrich would have pointed out that good help is definitely hard to find! Take care and enjoy that sled hill!

We might get two or three 4-6 inch snowfalls a year and....before someone calls me a wuss, I'd point out I used to live in the U.P. back in the 1970's and 1980's and definitely earned my shoveling and snow blowing badges there! About 4-5 yrs ago, we got 16-18 inches from a lingering storm system. None-the-less I learned from the U.P. that snow blowing snow, no matter how many times a year, is far better than having to shovel it! I have a John Deere 1330SE and I've never had a neighbor complain when I use it to clear my property, then go to theirs before taking care of our next door neighbor grandma lady. So, yep, I'm able to use it about 3-5 times a year. Power equipment. get some!
