Matt Chamberlain and Matt Cameron are both at least as good. Dave was always a little too slick for my tastes (in Pearl Jam, specifically, not necessarily as a drummer overall). All the fancy hihat triplets and other showy elements of his playing just seemed out of place to me. And the band clearly agreed.

When Dave was in PJ he used to come into the record store that I worked at in the Seattle area. Very nice guy that did not have a problem talking music, drums and all that. I always looked forward to him coming in and was very sad to see him go.

Pearl Jam toured Australia just after Dave 'left' the band. I had already bought tickets and was so pissed I never had a chance to see Dave live. I'm still angry at Vedder's BS. Dave was definately Bonhamesque, but with a bit more grease. I stopped supporting PJ after Dave was moved on. Wtf were they thinking?

People always ask me who is my biggest drumming inspiration and I always say Dave Abbruzzese and they ask me who the hell that it is. I tell them just go listen to PJ from 91-94. By far Dave is PJ's best ever drummer, gutted that he wasn't implementing ihs usual double stroke rolls and usage of the splashes, but fuck me he still rocked the hell out of those drums
This is an insanely good cover of one of my favourite songs. It is how I would imagine the song would sound if it were a Soundgarden track rather than a Chris Cornell solo effort. You guys are awesome!

"WOW!' came about a minute and a half into the song, the "Holy Shit!" came at 2:40, and it remained till the end. Exceptional! I don't think anyone has taken this electric before. If they did - my bad. It ain't going to reach this.

Good, good lord….this is so freggin good gentlemen. I just don’t have the words…this is the first time I’ve heard this and I was just screaming, “f” yeah, like 20 times through this. It has so many powerful moments…This song was a Cornell masterpiece IMO, and you all just elevated it to a new and beautifully, respectful, legendary rock song. No surprise to me that Abruzzesse nailed it…growing up in the 80s and 90s era of music, Dave was a standout to me. Just freggin beautiful!

and he made songs from "Ten" more heavier and groovy when he took over! that's why "State..." , and "Even Flow" was so much better when Dave was at the helm.

This song gives me goosebumps! I thought it was Chris which doubled the goosebumps. Excellent job by the singer. Dave is and always will be THE SHIT (as in the best) drummer PJ ever had.
Dave was no doubt, a BEAST on the throne, but it's difficult to say he's the best PJ EVER had. Eddie personally couldn't stand him, and his "Rockstar" mentality, and as much as WE loved him, if you don't get along well with the leader, you'll probably get left behind at some point (unfortunately...)

This is by far the best rendition of Seasons. But i don’t understand why everyone only sees Dave. He’s damn good alright. But the other three band members just KILLED it. Vocals is rock solid, the bass line captivating and the solo is sick, just wow!! They made this version their own. I think it’s the heaviest version of this song. What a solid band!

Everyone knows doing a cover of a well known band is difficult, but to do a VOCAL of one of the most amazing rock vocalist ever....... and DO IT WELL..... Not an easy task - Then taking it up a notch (if that's even possible) to more of a rock vibe - and last but not least - adding Dave Abbruzzes...... WOW!!! I'm super impressed. Bravo!!!! Well done! This totally made my day. Thank you all for putting in the time to make this happen. Everything was fantastic. The base, guitar, solo, drums vocal etc.... Wonderful! I can't say enough good things about it.

This makes me so unbelievably happy... And sad. Sad because we are still mourning two significant losses:
1. Chris Cornell from this world
2. Dave Abbruzzese's presence in Pearl Jam.

I've listened to this so many times...Legit...It's a shame we only really got to hear Dave A. on two albums he really is an incredible drummer. He does all the little things and doesn't over do anything. The rest of the lineup is on point too. That guitar solo is bananas!

On Dave A- he is one of those drummers I feel like I could watch for hours with the sound turned off- like Bonham. Their styles, very understated power and just the way they command the kit is a beautiful thing to see- not to even speak of their playing, which is f-ing phenomenal.

This is a fine rendition of Chris Cornell's song, and I very much appreciate the added electric, almost psychedelic dimension added by Dave A and these other talented musicians: but nothing - nothing can touch the original version. Considering the way it was solely composed and produced, and the barren stripped down delivery in Chris Cornell's haunting vocal stylings, the original version is absolutely gut wrenching. I still remember the times I listened to him perform this song on stage with nothing more than an acoustic guitar and his amazing voice, and I still tear up thinking that I will never get the opportunity do so again.
Thank you Miles! We truly miss Chris Cornell and his out of this world voice and singing everyday as well! There is and will always be only one Chris Cornell and no one can ever do full justice to his talent and charisma.He inspired us deeply in our musical journey and continues to do so every single day!
