@@WiezAnims 2D comeback implemented in 3D fighters are stupid and mack of imagiation in my opinion, Wall (that leads to gard breaks when your do a wall jump) or ring out ARE comeback mechanic.
And super are as old as Art of fighting Fatal fury. Before Super street fighter 2 existed.. 🙂

It seems to have better combat and graphics than Tekken 7 despite being older. With Tekken 7, I get bored after a few matches.

And so many great techniques flying around with great reads by the players. Just an awesome display to look at at a high level of gameplay. :)

I downloaded it and the dlc to support the fgc but this game is jank as hell, and not intuitive. I wanted to try it because everyone said it was so complex and deep and execution heavy but its just janky some of the mechanics seem to barely work and most of the combos seem ... nonsensical at the least which in a fighting game shouldn't be an issue but the movements are unnatural and unpleasant to look at.

Oh please, in order to perform well you need knowledge of the game. Thats the case with any game, not just fighting games. At the end of the day there is nothing unique about the game from a gameplay standpoint. Thats why it fails hard to sell to casual newcomers to fgs. The only saving grace gameplay wise that i see, is the large amount of moves accessible to each character. This is the same with tekken but you can see how one franchise is doing far better than the other, despite being a clone at worst
Virtua Fighter is like the Super Bowl of fighting games.

@@ariefmaulana6564 Next Tekken: two characters base roster (Kuma and Panda), tons of guest characters including Mickey Mouse and the villain of some trendier TV show (beware, it could be Ophelia from law & order), Jin doing nothing (again), more lollys, another guest char taking part on the main story, ergo ruining it, tons of paid dic, same gameplay system since 5 (but we have rage arts), no arcade mode (no needed it seems) and of course, NO Heihachi, because he is death...believe me 8 it's going to suck worse than 7...

Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution Champions mode is still tons better than Tekken 7's version. Also the customization in vf4 evolution is unrivaled . The options were so great that each character has several legit disguises to the point that they could've been secret fighters in arcade mode or something. Young fighting game fans(most) don't know anything about that game.This game doesn't hold your hand like every other current fighting game does.I find it interesting that Harada added more customization items before Vf5 Ultimate Showdown got re-released.

@@capcomman1 This dude clearly never played VF4EVO lmao. I still play Vf4evo to this day via emulation. Only got one more character was working on getting Aoi to champion to complete my champion roster lol. Took a break to play this masterpiece. Hopefully they add quest mode as DLC for this one

Funny you say that. I was playing it on my PS2 and Sony trinitron tube tv last week. Game is a masterpiece.
It's not clunky too me ....it looks beautiful...as far as the characters movement the characters need to be just a little less (slidy ) it seems like the characters slide around on the ground about 60% more than they should.
Besides the characters needing more ground grip feel the fighting is great.

What I hate about VF is the fall. Its like they are floating in slow motion. But I do love watching these matches.

Because they are way way more floaty. VF has the best physics. You can't juggle with very bad physics like Tekken.
VF has class weight. Different bodies that doesn't react or launch the same ways. With several physic sytem (like crumple bounce syctem ) with gorgeous animations.
No bodies flying in the air like Tekken 7 with the exact same ridiculous height during combos. Like you're juggling with light plastic dummies.. 😐😐

If i could do a list of great SEGA games that need to comeback this reply could last an entire year to finish...

I appreciate that SEGA is giving this game some much-needed attention after it was neglected for so long. While there are still minor improvements to be made, such as the background music, I think TEKKEN has some great tracks. Regarding the animation, it seems like this might be Virtua Fighter's style, it's a bit too fast and not as realistic as TEKKEN's.

Virtua Fighter is the OG 3-D fighting game. After a while some developers jumped from Sega to make their own fighting game (which turned out to be Tekken).
I feel the same. The customisation looks silly as well. Tekken 7 has an advantage over Virtua considering it is more recent. They blew it.
I hope this gets just enough love to make a VF6 happen. Like.. i enjoy the fighting system of this game, but the animations just don't do it for me. They really lack a lot of 'oomph'. People call it realistic, but so many animations in this game aren't. They are just slow and at time even janky. Although this is a different beast, I am not surprised tekken got the spotlight. It's a lot more kinetic and exciting to watch because it has tighter animations. And the juggles also look a bit more believable, even though the physics make very little sense when you think about it for even a few seconds. But here the characters just kind of float and because hits have such low impact, it just looks and even sounds odd. I genuinely believe that a VF6 could bring this franchise back from the dead. To enrich the cool fighting system with animations that fit the current gen
But this is more realistic. Hits don’t have ‘impact’ like you’re describing in real life. This is a beautiful marital arts fighter ;)
We can enjoy a game without the speeding through to bounce a character up in the air in a corner the whole match. People don't realize that it was a thing in the past since there wasn't much to do other than kick and punch an opponent. We have advanced since than taking mechanics to a whole new level in which will slow up the matches in order to perform. A see a lot of youtubers and gamer competitors (the one's that act like they are in charge of gaming titles) bitch about the games not being fast to their liking, but also at the same time demand buffed and nerfed characters to suit their needs. In the end these gamers walk away trashing these games right after the rest of us that are left to pick up the broken pieces or we end up waiting for a new title until they ruin than as well!
@@patinho5589 As someone who does martial arts like.. a lot... i strongly disagree. That is so wrong I can't even. A proper strike or kick on someone has a LOT of impact. Obviously you don't juggle IRL so that argument goes for both VF and tekken, but when you hit someone, they recoil. You notice the weight of the strike or kick and damage. Tekken has that impact and VF doesn't. The reason why, I already mentioned in my first comment
And let's hope it ain't Playstation exclusive if we get VF6
@@gtafan110010 Strongly strongly disagree man. VF’s animations are much more fluid and realistic than Tekken’s and that’s always been the case. Tekken is more stiff and the animations aren’t as crisp or tight.

The first match Kage was pretty decent but yeah the other ones were "okay." Kage has so many techniques that can trip you up if you're not careful.

Unlike VF Final Showdown, in this version called Ultimate the characters look like they're made of rubber, the color and texture of the skin look unrealistic, even technologically outdated nowadays, in addition to that annoying tapping sound that hasn't changed since its first versions. I think SEGA should really worry about renewing this franchise instead of continuing to release versions of the same game over and over again... 😏👎😴
VF5 still has the worst English voice acting in a video game since the original Resident Evil on the Playstation. "The Big time player is here". No one talks like that. El Blaze yelling "Hotdog" is the worst. The voice acting doesn't even fit El Blaze.
