Alex and I went to one of the premier spots in S. Cal that was a testing spot for Capcom and SNK. Our spot even made it in EGM magazine because of it. I preface that to prove VF's lack of popularity. Those cabinets were always dead. I've never seen cabinets die before they even got started like VF. Even SF the movie the game got more play. My opinion on VF is by far a minority one.

I know devs hold VF in high regard, but devs admiration for something does not sell units, or in this case, put coins in a machine. VF may have done some great things in a very concentrated aspect, but next to heavy hitters next to it in arcades like Street Fighter, Tekken, and The King if Fighters, it never stood a chance.
I've spent so many years in VF5 over the years but the netcode needs some more time in the oven. I've been requesting that SEGA platform the game officially on PC for years and am delighted about this release and the reveal of VF6, I just hope RGG don't balls the latter title up. I really don't want to see crossover characters, let's keep VF it's own entity. If we start seeing Majima etc as part of the roster, it'll be very disappointing for me.
Crossover is good for the game if the character fits and doesn't change the way the game is played. This is game also will more likely have everyone returning, so guest will not be taken up returning character spot IMO

Well I have something to say, my very precarious friend. First is that I've been playing virtua fighter, and tekken since the games first released in the arcades. Now im watching you do some very questionable things, that even with a good arcade stick would be pretty much impossible. Especially those multi-rolls with Kate you were doing, not buying that. Am I wrong? Not likely, im not prone to making wild accusations. That and I wouldn't trust PC players for all the money in the world, I mean I could mention games like call of duty. Or Tekken 7, which has become a haven for spammers, and lag switching cheaters using macros. Or modded controllers for that matter, or those chronos USB adapters that should be outlawed on every platform. And I certainly don't trust you, you can take offense to that if you want

I've never been able to jive with the VF sound design, which has largely been the same since the beginning. Hits have no weight behind them.
same ...plus that floaty slow motion ...vibe to everything..very unappealing
