Firelfly is the name of her armor (firefly type 4). also she is canonically older than Nanook and Lan since she fought against the swarm and Tazzyroth (aeon of propagation) and both the aeon of destruction and of the Hunt came to be during the swarm disaster. you need to search lore about the Glamoth empire and Glamoth Iron cavalerie to learn more about where she is from
@@vidianott You should try to watch the hsr stuff in the release order if you can. Like, the beginning of Firefly's character trailer is a direct reference to the beginning of her animated short that came before it.
You can just watch the whole thing once then replay and dissect it. Breaking apart frame by frame for every info is fun but pausing on the first play kinda ruins the flow

Her name SAM is a direct reference to Samus. Another mecha suit that fights aliens and is a woman underneath.
The Honkai team in general are biiggggg fans of mecha material like Gundam, Gurren Lagaan, etc. Super happy to see it implemented with her character 😊
