I just back from San Francisco to the UK yesterday. Spent a week there, had amazing time & what a beautiful city it was. We avoided Tenderloin, but explored everywhere else. so many things to do and see
People will always talk down on SF for tenderloin but no matter what there is no denying the unbelievable beauty of the city. We love you, San Francisco!
Very enjoyable premiere , that Lombard Street sure is quite crooked , its familiar to me from tv 4:06 😎Chinatown is always great to see and its shops , restaurants etc…and those cool murals 25:25 like that one🙂Thank you for sharing A K 🙂👍!!!
Lombard Street is always advertised as the "crookedest" street in San Francisco, but actually that honor goes to Vermont Street in the Potrero Hill District. Vermont Street is the crookedest street in San Francisco and it's actually steeper than Lombard.
@@ActionKid I know u like NY I really want to go back to Europe. I did tell u my dad moved me to China. It was illegal and I really need help I don't know why they moved from China to Chicago
It's fun seeing the unique and charming Lombard Street, Italian businesses in North Beach, and vibrant Chinatown. 😍 7:43 Oh my, look at that angle of steepness! 😅 Thank you for sharing this enjoyable walk, AK! 🤗
Thanks Ken for taking me along in my moms hometown, San Fran. She's gone many years now and my regret is I did not ask more questions about San Francisco. I know she worked at Ghirardelli Chocolate factory. She went to Galileo High School and it it still there today as a working high school. I live 3 hours away and the big city never appealed to me.
I was living in Washington St in Chinatown in Early 90’s . I know that area well. Lambert St is the popular St in SF. Most of the tourist must go there to see the Lambert St there.
It's like she's never seen technology before. Weird reaction. I've had some really odd reactions from old people who can't grasp the concept of video. The conversations would go like this: OLD PERSON: "Are you taking pictures?" ME: "Nope, I'm producing a video." OLD PERSON: "Okay, I hope you get some good pictures." ME: "I'm not actually taking pictures, I'm recording video." OLD PERSON: _Stares at me with a confused, blank look_ "Okay, good luck with your pictures!" Those times I've been assigned to record videos of seniors, they'll pose motionless as if I'm taking pictures even though I told them like 3 times that I'm recording video, not taking pictures. Old people being so far out of touch with basic technology can really be frustrating and makes my job much more difficult.
This San franciscan compliments you on using the jargon correctly, e.g., "catenary" wires overhead and distinguishing trolley bus from cable car -- you got it down with precision, mate!
18:02 this building was damaged by a fire, TWICE! I worked in this building for years and there was a fire in December of 2012 or 13 or so that caused all the apartment tenants to move out. The upper floors were gutted and left burnt and vacant for years while a few restaurants and a liqour still operated on the ground level. On Saint Patrick’s day 2017 or 2018 there was a massive fire that damaged the building beyond repair. Thanks for sharing
Hi AK, I enjoy it. You didn't get closer to the TransAmerican Piramidy maybe because is a privately owned building as learned, but that's ok. It was a good walk. Thank you!
Looks like very little tourist right now in S.F., the street looks quiet and not many peoples walking compared few years ago. China Town and Italy Town sure quiet as well. There is lot of stores closed at China Town, Six or seven years ago I was S.F. every year, China Town always full of peoples but look at now, I wonder what happened.
I'm local and tourism has gone way up since the summer...long lines at the cable car turnaround, crowds at the GG Bridge and Pier 39 and Alcatraz reservations are booked solid a month in advance...
I live in the area and tourism is very high and has become annoying again. People walking down my street (I'm 6 blocks away from where he starts the video) at all hours of the day. My guess is he's filing on a business day or early in the morning.
Never interrupt an Italian who is in the middle of a conversation. You asked that older Italian woman how she was while she was talking to those two people. Italians think that's rude to interrupt a conversation and that's why she looked at you like that and didn't respond to you. Wait till an Italian is done saying something to someone. She was telling those two people the history of the restaurant. I know these things because I'm Italian on my dad's side. He always told me to never interrupt someone talking to someone else because what that person is saying is important to him or her.

Thankyou for sharing. Frisco looks as beautiful as ever. The colorful Victorian architecture is outstanding.
You're welcome! It's such an amazing city

When we were little, my dad, a cab driver, would drive us really fast down Lombard street to our great thrill.
@@RebekahCurielAlessi It sounds thrilling for sure! 😆 Thank you for sharing your childhood memories of Lombard St, Rebekah! ❤️ 🤗

My pleasure, it was so nice to take a walk on Lombard Street and see the different areas of San Francisco
Wonderful walking tour in San Fransisco
Thank you so much

You're welcome! I'm happy I could show you a portion of your mom's hometown
Thanks for walking my old neighborhood.
Thank you for this tremendous and beautiful walk: a sashay through my turf!! ☕️ 🌹 ☯️
Much appreciated, glad you liked it!

thank you! :) this looks pretty normal and as i remember from a few years ago. :) its nice to see that the sf apocalypse is not everywhere.
You're welcome, thanks for watching!
1:28 - What a view! 😍
Watched quite a few negative videos about SF lately. Empty shops, homeless tents, ... Glad to see the beautiful things here.
Why would anyone report on the good things? It doesn't sell clicks.
At 900 Lombard street is Scotties house from Hitchcock’s movie VERTIGO. You walk by it at the 8:21 mark of the video. Thanks again for these videos!😊
Oh my gosh!! I thought that as he walked by it: I saw her painting in there in my mind!! 🖼
Amazing!
Does this walking tour make me homesick🎉🎉🎉
Hi AK this is a new area for us to watch. Thank you.
My pleasure!
Great
Greetings from Basel Switzerland
Thank you so much!

She didn't appear weird in any way. AK was gentle with her. I guess she likes it.
14:40 Or I think she was merely startled to have someone approach so abruptly
@@robertparker1180 Exactly. And I felt a sensitive going on situation at the moment too. Or maybe.

Very interesting. Can't believe that building was on fire twice!
Great cafe at corner of Taylor and Lombard. Hope you stopped for a coffee or refreshment?

Good morning Action Kid ❤
9:11 The CBS reality show The Amazing Race once featured contestants scaling face down that tower. A scary feat, I imagine
There’s like 10 restaurants on every block
