This is awesome. Shows how deep rhyme writing ✍🏾 is.
Battle rap today don't understand that every mainstream rapper was a battle rapper at first from Cassidy to Jay z The Big pun from biggie the Tupac I can keep going
Jay z pun biggie nor pac was battle rappers don’t know where the hell u get that from lol
Today battle rap is different . Back then niggas would be just rhyming , whoever had the best verse won. Now it’s more of a direct verbal attack on the opponent.
@@jirrellj this is what people and Cassidy doesn't understand which he will keep on losing. Cassidy writes rhymes in away where.... If the opponent he is facing has nothing left to say.... He wins or just general battle lines that isn't directed towards the person.
@@jirrellj that's y'all problem dumb new generation don't know y'all history about anything
@@dareason7581 another lost generation don't know there history smh sad
This guy is very very smart,he's basically teaching all battle rapper's,he's a legend OMG,he knows he was going to be on this platform and rappers gone come to listen.
Big ups to Cassidy one of my favorite rappers 💯
Amazing Podcast, keep doing yaw thing!
Fux wit class🔥
I meant to say Cass
Cass is forever going to be my guy! Much respect to Lord Jamar he’s definitely cut from a different cloth since day one nothing but love & respect for him as well!
Dude is talking real shit, I used to work with a few of these young rappers to try and get them to understand the importance of working on your craft...black people are naturally talented at a lot of things but without discipline & work ethic you will never get to where you could be
Exactly.
A Freestyle is where you hype crowd but on wax is when you become immortal.-MC Juice
yall's guests have been fire!
Twork, Surf, Swamp, Eazy Da Block Captain, Rum Nitty and I can name 20 more that's all fire on beat and have fire tracks, we can also do a whole episode of industry rappers that come to battle rap and get smoked, it's 2 different worlds
Battlers are JEALOUS 🤷🏽♂️🗣NO TOURS, NO PLAQUES, NO PUBLISHING 😏
Facts, it's hate, Cass makes them really feel the insecurities they're tryin to block out
@@KSSBG That's a lie, these guys aren't jealous of no cassidy. The reason why Cassidy is not respected by alot of the5 battle rappers is because what he did.
@@KSSBG Cassidy is a liar, he knows why the battlers don't him, he's trying to make himself look innocent.
@@alexfoster5097 well that's your opinion, many ppl including myself strongly disagree
@@alexfoster5097 every one got an opinion
Love the energy good vibes ✊🏿✊🏾
If Cass spit in battles like he talks in interviews his shit would be fire.
The BARZ is back
battle rappers with some good music loaded lux head ice big T cortez
Most battle rappers won’t admit it but they’re are jealous of Cass because they have been doing it for a long time and Cass was able to come in and basically get all the attention while rapping his own style instead of confirming to the modern day battle rap format!
Cass on a helluva promo run. Teach em the science Cass
Now this the only time a battle rapper should listen to Cass, this his lane, he made a lot of sense
Cass been one of my favorite rappers since he came out. Don’t know anybody who got better word play/bars.
King los
K-Shine is the ultimate Battle Rapper who records his rap albums and be on major point, flow and a1.
That's y they say Bernie Mac ate Steve Harvey in Kings cause Bernie made them laugh Harvey coached a laugh
Bernie just better
Harvey had moments but bernie's whole set was funny different levels
Kal El Daily yep Bernie was more talented. I’ve heard from other comedians that Steve Harvey used to close in the beginning but the crowd loved Bernie so much he became the closer and Harvey ended up the host.
@@freddycalipari4242 yeah cedric did better than him on that stand up
I thought Steve was just hosting Kings and warming up the crowd.
Omg I'm so hyped....Cassidy is going to bar heavy the whole time bro....he raps for 9 minute's on tracks bro...when he says he's going go In on stage he means it
I wish we could see this Cassidy more. He far from dumb. He needs to talk more like this.
He literally always talks like this, people just get emotional because of how he delivers it 😂
Very intelligent dialogue. You can tell Cassidy is passionate and a true student and teacher of his art and craft. Respect to Cassidy and Lord Jamar.
The all time best VS would have been Big L and Cassidy if the late great Harlem lyricist was still in the physical. Both these guys have that punch line flavor.
what?
That would of been crazy fr fr
That Stand up comedy and movie comedy was a good example.
Why we actin like Cass is this exquisite song maker lol
He still rappin them 2006 bars..knock it off
Well that’s his era and he’s sold records lol.
@@freddycalipari4242 your point?
@Rasul Samad I disagree..especially now..it ain't hard to have a hit when u with swizz
Tone Blue it’s pretty clear what my point was. Cass is from the 90’s and early 2000’s that’s his era and he sold records. You gotta be talented and marketable to sell records a Swiss beat isn’t enough. He’s studied his craft for years
@@freddycalipari4242 bruh knock it off...why hasnt he sold SINCE swizz then
Great interview
Cassidy is the Promo 🐐!!!! He brings the ENERGY!!! He killed Diz as revenge for Canibus.
He definately killed diz he beat goodz but he lost against Arsonal
I still can't believe that happened. Canibus could possibly crack my top 5 lyricists
@@9577frasier 🎯 Canibus didn’t look healthy that day!
@@imperialstats That is Fair!✊
@@MrCbwTV cannibus lyrically been surpassed he was the shit back in the day but ppl like royce king crooked papoose go far beyond
I always wanted to see Papoose vs. Cassidy. They both go hard 🔥
I think the industry thrives off their beats and battle rappers can actually rap a cappella with amazing lyrics. I would be mad if I took my craft seriously and still underground, while people who can’t really rap, but will do anything to be famous gets signed easier.
OmG I never thought of that combination, that would be crazy😲
How his situation is it remindeds me of floyd mayweather jr. Had him sign a six deal fight within two years. Really design for him to lose. Seems like they were doing the same thing with cass putting him on a big stage all 3 battles design for him to lose. But that's hard to do when the mane got hell of barz tho
Thank you for this interview Lord and Cassidy! This was so telling to the lack of respect this man received when he came back. Give Cassidy his just due respect! Thank you for your grand articulation Brother.
Cass its called the Tempo of the beat. In battlerap there is no beat. The beat prepares you on how to rap to it it gives you inspiration of flowing to it. When there is no beat there is no limit to the tempo cause there isn’t one so you can literally rap the way you want. But there is a certain flow pattern that everyone uses in battlerap. And that’s what we want from you cass
Great point.....that's what he has to understand and get aligned with......the crossing for battler and rapper is not to far apart
Props to Cassidy for knowing his craft! He is totally on point with his viewpoint on this topic. He just showed me another level in his maturity.
cassidy said he wasn't at his best because he felt disrespected. but before the battles he said that these are the best bars that we ever heard. make up your mind cas...
@Animal Instinct I'll come back here after the hitman battle and after we hear more excuses. we'll see what you have to say then...
Fam do you see the set up an momentum. He is using industry shit in battle rap. It’s a formula
First they love you, then they hate you then they love you again. Y’all need to stop with the emotion and look at the master work.
He took y’all King like KillMonger did and expose him. Look how he got the best performer all crazy in a face off. Cassidy a different dude. He about to 3-0 Hitman it’s not going to be close. His style will be faster and more acres since and deliberate.
This is fact. It’s a easy dub for Cassidy. He figured out what he need to do, and he’s shifting the conversation
Genius
@@myartmyrules let me tell you something my friend. the male battle rapper's are all overrated and inconsistent. I've always liked qb, jaz, and couture. i wanted cass to win all his battles. i was hyped ass hell when he first came back. but i keep it real. the male battle rapper's make excuses all the time and cassidy is no different. they get away with it because the fans are gullible. you said it's the love then hate. no one ever hated cassidy in the industry so why even do that? like i told the other dude, I'll be back after the battle to see what you both have to say...
@@rarerock5020 you don’t understand business and marketing. Why is there so much energy? Cass strategically did this, he’s out to prove a point and this will be intentional.
All that applies to battle rappers before Cassidy in this battle Vs Hitman. He clearly and consciously says it. See you after the battle
@@myartmyrules any famous rapper that comes to battle rap will have that energy. Eminem, 50cent, drake, the list goes on and on.
