    Put the onion sets and garlic bulbs straight in the ground, they will do absolutely fine. Happy growing 👏👏

      Yes! This is the best but we haven't prepare the land yet for them so we thought to give them a headstart and then plant but I know replanting may be a bit tricky for the roots. Then I will plat more just next to the first batch and try my luck

    Taking down the walls might need hardhats and steel toe boots, and maybe a handmade hook tool to reach the tall bits and to safely maneuver??? Please be careful!
    And I love what you are all doing to this place! Have you thought about olive trees too?

    U can tell Omar has been among the English (his recent trip) he’s full of the gentle comedic quips, self-deprecating humour, and subtle ironies from ole’ Blighty. I enjoyed this as much for that, as for the visibly satisfying changes that are happening at great speed it seems. Big changes. Big excitement. Lots of love & Good luck!

    You all are doing an amazing job. Omar and Simon should wear construction hats while pulling those walls down and safety glasses, rather worried about something bonking them on their heads and sand and little stones or shards of roof tile getting into their eyes while pulling the walls down. Those kitties are lovely and your mom looks like she has settled well now and is she enjoying her little apartment? Thank you for another lovely video Andrea, Omar, Simon.

    I can't wait to see everything growing in your garden again this year, (it's like a Labour of love for you and your mum and you seem to have the ability to grow anything.
    Wow those stone walls are dangerous , you had me on the corner of my seat each time thinking the whole lot was going to fall down.

      @TheIndigoEscape  7 місяців тому +3

      Unfortunately, not possible. We can’t have a bread oven with no chimney inside our dining room. The chimney was made of brick and cement around 1960s. Nothing really artisanal about it I’m afraid and again, no way to keep the fumes away.
      We will be making another one bread oven, similar to the one we had which was made of tiles. This kind of structures are very common in Portugal

    THE VIDEO WAS SUPER FANTASTIC!!! I enjoyed every bit, especially taking down the wall! It made me feel like jumping in there and helping, even on one leg, haha!! Oliver(your brother-in-law) I forget his name by the end of the video, is such a fine man! He has done a lot.❤❤❤ And I know now why you have your Mum there!! Oh yes!! To make your garden the best garden and teach her baby daughter how to do things!!, GOOD ON YOU MUM!!!❤❤❤ I'm planting strawberries this year too. Have you thought about Kratzy hydroponic gardening? Microgreens? Bucket planting potatoes? Raised bed gardening? What about using smaller rocks around the bases of some of your fruit trees? Using the canopy of these trees is a great area for those herb shrubs to grow. They also have the benefit of less weeding and more nutrient enriched soil.

      Is this because you don't like the taste of bell peppers? You can try a different pepper like Padron peppers which are a bit sweeter in taste. Otherwise if you want to substitute completely, you can use courgettes, the stem of the broccoli which gives texture but not a lot of flavour, brown mushrooms or sugar pods.
      Also add Sprouts. I didn't have any when I made this recipe but it certainly gives a nice crunch to it.

      Yes, you do. You need to have an engineer involved to do the paperwork for you. I wouldn't dare do this without an engineer who can guide you with this and knows the ropes. It takes a long time though.
      Building without asking is very common in Portugal or what others do is retrospective permits (with a fine attached in most occasions).
