I feel so much different. Evan Williams BIB is awful. I wonder if it's just my bottle. Stinging spiciness with a strange charred aftertaste. WT 101 is king over that stuff.
I always recommend 1792 small batch, EC small batch and Woodford Reserve DO (it's definitely not cheap, for a beginner, but is very sweet and you can find 375s at Total Wine)
A lot of these bourbons aren't available in the UK (RR10, Cooper's, OGD, OF100, BT 90 proof). Bourbons I tend to share with beginners are Eagle Rare (bizarre but this is widely available for RRP), Four Roses SB, Knob Creek 9, WT 101 and either JD SiB/BiB. 101 and KN are my go to Bourbons.
OF 100 for the win. That bottle is a great all-rounder. Great list. Love the Coopers, except we can only get it when we go out of town. Not available in NY 😕. Cheers fellas!!!
Love the channel , and I think y'all nailed that list except for KC 9. Would replace that with early times or 1792. Obviously there are a lot of different budget bourbons that could of been added. Like 4roses, VOB, benchmark just to name a few. I agree about wild turkey, I tried when I first started out and haven't tried it since. That was about 2 years ago
Had the BJ's Yellowstone and it was terrible....I have the 2022 Yellowstone Limited and love it. I don't think I will be running out and getting the regular Yellowstone... Happy with where I'm at and you can't make me.
I had the pleasure of trying the Green River wheat and barrel strength at the Louisville Bourbon Society meeting Monday night. I can’t wait to buy the bottles. Neat is doing a barrel pick, too. Looking forward to buying the Bardstown rye next week…
I love how you put the neck tag on the Buffalo Trace. I saw that same bottle of tequila and almost picked it up. I have a lot of the same bottles on my list, great list great list fellas 🥃
very cool to hear that you enjoyed the corazon buffalo trace finished, i have one of those and two blantons finished repasado's. havent opened them yet but very soon for sure.
Cooper's craft 100 has become a regular in my cabinet ever since I first tried it. I think what it brings to the table is an absolutely great value for the price

Great list. My beginner list would include Early Times BIB, Elijah Craig small batch, Old Forester 86 or 100, Buffalo Trace and 1792 small batch.

Not the cheapest but Angles Envy is a good beginner bourbon.
I just bought Buffalo Trace but nervous to try it because I've never had alcohol but in mixed drinks
Sorry I have to correct you on cooper's craft it's NOT available everywhere, for example MN. Don't get it at all.

I’m surprised 1910 or Woodford Double Oak didn’t make this list.
I would add Elijah Craig Small Batch, still a great list. Saw Buffalo Trace in central Indiana but only 2 bottles. Use to see shelves of it here.

Absolutely not available in southern California either. 🙄

What's playing in the background??? Great list!
Great list. If you want to find more Elijah Craig Small Batch just come to VA. They are always on the shelf.
Hey Zach, I thought I heard you say this year you were going to try some Scotch. I haven't seen any videos yet. Are you still considering that?
Wish Elijah Craig small batch made this list. That’s always my no1 recommendation to my friends who are starting

My wife still makes no face when drinking 1910.
1792 Small Batch. Easily under $30
KC9, OF 100, and Buffalo Trace will always be in my cabinet.

Black Label Evans Williams is the worse Whiskey I have ever tasted. White label is delicious. Glad u didn't have it on the list 🤢
7:05 I heard TEQUILA!!! 👌🏼 Now we’re talking
Preach lol.

Good list. I haven't seen the Bardstown Origin or the Green River in my area, but I am on the lookout for them.
You made the right choice with the Origin Rye mashbill. I like it better than the wheater BIB.
Cooper's craft 100 has become a regular in my cabinet ever since I first tried it. I think what it brings to the table is an absolutely great value for the price
$34 for 4 boxes of cereal?!?!? LOL hell naw
Any idea when Bardstown will get to NJ?
Gotta throw Lost Monarch in there.
Big fan of the Bardstown Origins!
Great list, all solid pours.
What about if you want out?
I got a OGD 114 for $16. I was thankful. I think mitchers bourbon, expensive but good stuff for a new drinker.
