For a coop shooter I cannot shill for Deep Rock Galactic enough, it is so well oiled a game that it just bleeds extremely iterated and well thought out design from every crevice of it.

FR, if ya ppl haven't played it yet, go for it, esp with friends, u will have rly nice time, for at least couple hundreds hours :D Devs are just on another level, u may get some mixed feelings about game having battle pass and all that stuff, but, don't be affraid of it, it's COMPLETELY free, and after season ends ALL loot from it going to random in game drops, not your typical battlepass.
oh, another thing, coffee stain, sweeden.... their other studio made Valheim some time ago, soon it gonna get p big update with a lot of stuff, one of the things i were waiting for is world settings, so u can make a bit more user friendly exp in it, it's rly fun to play in coop with friends
It needs polish though for $15. Right now its missing some pretty major quality of life mechanics. Early access is no longer an excuse for a game to be unfinished after development stops at this point, its almost universally never completely delivered on from both indie and AAA developers. Its also literally impossible to give them feedback to work with, its only the content creators and higher up discord individuals with the talking power, a-la tarkov.

I like battlebit because of how intense the moderation is, ive never met a single toxic person in the game everybody is just enjoying themselves, not taking it seriously at all, and it really does remind me of when people used to just play games to have fun instead of grinding their double xp for the battlepass this month
It's nice to play some of these other games for a change. I'm getting really sick of the sweatiness and aggressive Skill Based Match Making of modern games so playing to have fun has kind of been a lost treasure
I've stuck with Paladins for just about 7 years and it feels great to see the game even slightly revitalized, although recently coop titles such as Deep Rock Galactic and Risk of Rain 2 have been proving to be far more fun, especially with friends
After taking a step back for a while and seeing how the market settled (and then seeing the absolute dog water of the Summer Games Show), I think now is a really good time to be an indie dev. As you said, a huge number of people are looking for games that 1) aren't strictly live service, and 2) aren't AAA cash grabs.
Building on the stalker advice, if you have a VR headset, you could get Into the Radius, which is basically stalker VR. The atmosphere is like none other and its honestly terrifying on your first playthrough at some points. Very engaging, totally recommend it.

For real, after playing anomaly for a few months i got bored and decided to play the trilogy and now it pisses me off how they add thousands of weapons and tactical elements to a game that is not that
Hunt Showdown is such a great game. The audio is soo good, never played any game were you can spot enemy’s based on sound so well. And the devs a great too, very community focused. some of them have their own Twitch channel, where you can ask questions
STALKER series really is the only FREE* all-in-one package: shooting, horror, treasure hunting, survival, exploration, atmosphere and SO many more. If STALKER 2 can manage to pull off even more RPG elements, itd be the ONLY fps game I play.
My friend recently gifted me the game called Squad for birthday, and its really fun. Its a modern battlefield simulator focused on infantry and armoured forces cooperation. Its very realistic, and in the current playtest it is getting even more realism. Its like less realistic tarkov, but battlefield.
I don't think it's fair to say XDefiant was never marketed as a Call of Duty competitor. They developed the game in collaboration with Call of Duty pros and influencers (and are using these people to promote the game) and specifically have marketed elements in reaction to things people have complained about in CoD (eg skill matchmaking). Even if they have never specifically said "this game is designed to compete with Call of Duty" it is extremely obvious that is what they are trying to do.
It wasn't originally marketed as a Call of Duty Competitor. It previously had Tom Clancy in the title and they remove it due to the previous community they try to cater to rip this game a new one. A lot of people from that community have respect and a expectation for what you get from that name. So they can't just slap it on whatever title for the sake of it and expect them to respect that and buy it. So their marketing has transition to Call of Duty pros and influencers as you say.
We're witnessing a critical mass of growing players who are tired of AAA starting at least since loot crates and half finished buggy games began being released under the "live service" model.
@@tann_man As a 90's kid I really do miss the days of gaming where you'd just buy a game for $60 and it came with everything on day one. And worked day one. Single player campaign. Multiplayer with 4-5 game modes and maybe 8-12 maps out of the box. Progression system with unlocks that you earn just by playing the game, not by paying. That was all considered standard from like 2000-2010. The biggest lie we've been sold by AAA gaming is the idea that games can "die." I swear nowadays if a game goes 4 weeks without a content update, half the player base stops playing and all the forums and reddit boards for the game are filled with "dead game" posts. imo the real problem there is that most people don't play online games for fun anymore. Not really. It's more like they play it out of some sort of (anti)social obligation where they feel compelled to play whatever is popular in the moment. Like some form of FOMO. I don't know if that's what most gamers actually want, or if it's just what companies have gaslit them into believing they want, but that mindset is the underlying reason as to why the "live service" model persists and likely won't be going away soon. You never used to see that attitude from players in older games. People used to play games for years without any content updates just because they enjoyed the game. That's why people still play Counter Strike, or Quake. You can even still find people playing Unreal Tournament if you know where to look, despite those games being delisted from every store with their official servers shut down. Nobody will be doing that for CoD Warzone, in 20 years almost no one will even remember what Warzone was. Anyway /rant
Battle bit has amazing gunplay, it is counter strike level refined, kinda camping heavy depending on the map tho. I hope some fun community mods come out for battlebit. Paladins also was always really fun, a shame the player base never got bigger.
Paladins has also benefited from some really top-tier people pushing to make it better than ever. The Community Manager's even been trying to clean up the lore so it makes sense for newcomers. Plus none of the characters in Paladins have been horrendously broken with late-stage reduxes like what happened to Mercy and Symmetra in OW. Instead, that character you loved years ago? They're still fun to use!
hey garbaj! rather unrelated to the video really but i wanted to ask about your opinions on the starfield gameplay deep dive. people originally very critical of how the combat felt. that changed with the latest direct. what do you think could be the key factors that made that combat gameplay better? i personally noticed that the addition of hitmarkers helped a lot.
i dunno, former titanfall devs made something weird with noob tubes, 3sec TTK and destructible environment... all those things just contradict each other. Does make u think if all those "former devs of X goty" rly that good, like every time somebody make an announcement like this, it sounds sus to me, like someone washed on the shore bragging they were a captain of the ship. Cuz real Names don't need introductions like that. can't rly remember any good game from "former devs of x" usually its... something mediocre at best. like B4B

I've spent the last 2 and half years making my own multiplayer FPS, its still in pre alpha quality but hey its a bit of fun. hopefully people like it once its released.

@@unia. yeah but i don't know it feels like grounded movements are very very very vanilla. No circle jump, no bhop/airstraffe, slide doesn't really give much speed so I don't really get its point, eventually maintaining speed while engaging in a 1v1 ? but 1v1 feels rare (i only noticed pressing slide and jump together gives a slight speed boost). So crossing the map feels like a pain in the ass. Also I like it when games lets you play very agressive and open as long as you're skilled enough with your ground movements to quickly get back to cover, and I don't feel like the finals lets you do this. I'll give it a better chance next time. Also I don't know why you would make so sights and crosshairs are not actually showing you where you are shooting. It might not be intentionnal and be fixed later. My dream game would basically be high ttk, sharp gunplay, skillfull movements, very nervous arcade and mechanically demanding gameplay, with a small bit of macro strategy, like dealing with tempo, fight positions etc, and short term team communications.
Project Reality is something too if you want a free old coop shooter that's still somewhat active. Has constant 70+ players in American PVP servers; with EU and Asian coop servers very active at certain times.
there are some excellent indie single player games out there, dusk and ultrakill are the more well known ones, nightmare reaper is a personal favorite of mine
NGL i'm rly rootin for Ubi and hope they will their best with new games they announced and plan to release, Assassin seems to be going back to the roots, Xdefiant yes, doesn't look rly fancy, but they bring bunch of somewhat controversal things to gameplay, and it's good (like weak af Aim Assist), Prince of Persia like in my school days, is sidescroller platformer, i rly hope they manage to get over crisis they induced on themself and we will get Ubi Renascence. Which will be super cool, since it will affect industry as whole. Same goes for those games with "cheap" visuals... Gamedev lie dormant lately, i mean ye, we have releases here and there, but big industry with big money didn't rly bring anything good in past years, it's rly sad
Just yesterday I bought Industria since I heard good things and it was on sale. It doesnt have the lenght, polish and optimization of a triple A game, but I still had a great time.
Personally, I can(and have for a while) advocate for paladins. The game is in a MUCH better state now than at launch, and I think the game is way healthier than it was years ago, during its peak player count. The devs have made big improvements to the game, and honestly, I'd love to see the game be popular again. The biggest issue is, due to the smaller playerbase(and the shadow of overwatch) many people don't really take the game seriously, even in ranked, which can be frustrating. I think if the game released at its current quality, it would've done much much better.
Not sure if this is as relevant, but I think it might be: Another game called Vintage Story that can be described as "Minecraft, surviving, making tools etc. is much, much more realistic" has gotten in my eye. Updates provide tons of stuff, more than Mojang did in 3 year (in terms of actual content or "per update") and it looks like it can become quite the amazing game in the future!
2 single player games I highly recommend are ultrakill and noita. Ultrakill is a movement shooter and it's possibly the best one made so far despite not being complete yet, it has a lot of tech and moments that you think "it would be pretty cool if I could just do this..." and then you do it and it actually works. It also will absolutely kick your ass in some areas, especially bosses, but every time you defeat one of them and go to the next level and it feels a bit easier to you, there is a faint and sweet feeling of "I'm getting better at this". Also, the soundtrack is absolutely great. Noita is a 2d pixel game about a silly little wizard dude going down into a mountain. It has one of the best and most complex wand building systems I've used, which allows the player to create some pretty crazy stuff, and every pixel does something, which pairs very well with the alchemy system
Hopefully this is the start of the multiplayer industry actually changing. People are finally getting fed up with their favorite games constantly dropping in quality, and instead of just dealing with it they are moving on. Its what the industry needs, you shouldn't be able to put minimal effort into a game and still retain a playerbase.
echo point nova demo on steam is awesome, great movement. very excited for Sprawl and Midair2 coming later this year. also been enjoying Friends vs Friends a rare 1v1 2v2 fps
It heartens me to hear others reaching for alternatives, because it's always been one of my core philosophies to search for the option that is best for me, not the one created on the largest budget. I think the march of progress has really closed the gap, offering small teams of developers the tools the do more with less than they had been able to do previously. In addition, there's also greater ability to get exposure as a smaller studio/team, though that does sometimes mean there can be over saturation in the games market. Both have been true for a while, and I think the limiting factor has just been the mindset to maintain a dichotomy between AAA and Indie. The hesitancy to consider playing a game amongst many people because it's been labeled and looks "Indie" has been the slowest to change, but I think that hesitancy has certainly been weakening. Especially as more and more supposedly "Indie" games make as big of a splash as AAA titles.
After being similarly frustrated with overwatch I tried out Quake Champions for the first time this month and I love it. I still suck at duels but I'll get there. Strongly recommend for anyone looking for a fast paced fps that can either be super laid back or super competitive

Super stoked for Battlefield/mil-sim fans. Not a fan of that type of gunplay myself, but hopefully we can get a good arcade shooter in the future with this working as a proof-of-concept
My only gripe with battle bit is that its not free to play. I know a lot of people like this move but it puts battle bit on a limited life span if they dont put micro transaction. I just dont understand why they could have some not over the top skins for guns or custom win animations or something of the sort. I know people are sick of micro transactions and I respect the devs for doing it but it just makes it so the game is closed off to such a big audience which would've loved it.

I'm interested in a tutorial on how to make lo-fi polygons like on the DS, particularly with more realistic proportions. All the tutorials I have found are for PS1 and N64 style graphics. A good reference point to what I mean are the graphics from games such as Phantasy Star 0, Avalon Code, and Cop the Recruit.
I'd like to add to the list of things people should try. The "Blockfront " mod for Minecraft. It's a WW2 shooter with tons of well made and animated guns, grenades etc. There also is a zombie Mode, heavily inspired by cod but as of right now it's quite new and missing a lot of features. There's different modes like Demolition, TDM, free4all, gun game and they might add Search and destroy mode but haven't confirmed it yet. They are already working on vehicles for a large scale mode, when that releases it would basically be Battlefield. They update it very frequently and always try to fix bugs and listen to the community. Something I miss in a lot of other games.
a small game that was just released that is absolutely incredible is the 1v1 or 2v2 game Friends Vs Friends. i play it with a few friends and sometimes online it's an absolutely wonderful game and you should give it a shot.
I have been causaly playinh paladins for 5-7 years. Its good to see people playing paladins again. Its a great game with big unused potential, the company behind it just did not use it fully.
Valheim! It's easily the best 15 bucks I've spent on a game in my life. It's a beautiful game with limitless replayability. and if your of the peasant persuasion, it's on Xbox too.
People might be willing to try smaller games but ultimately most of them will probably end up back with the big games before long. The recent release of Street Fighter 6 is a great example. A lot of Street Fighter players ended up switching to primarily playing Guilty Gear or KOF because of their dissatisfaction with the state of Street Fighter 5, but now 6 is out and it provides a much smoother online experience than those games so lots of people are back to Street Fighter now. Smaller devs may be in a better position to respond to player demands but they'll always struggle to keep up with major developers that have lots of resources to provide reliable netplay and new content.
The only Multiplayer games I was left with are DotA2 and Tarkov. Dota2 mainly because I have a passionate hate towards the League community, there is NO WORSE COMMUNITY, than of Riot Games ... games... I'm dead serious, their games are super well made, but if it is a multiplayer title? I'm good. With Tarkov It's been a real rocky ride. Been playing Tarkov since 2017, been through thick and thin with this game and even I must admit, their development and fixing stuff up REALLY needs a step up. There's been many issues with the game, where fixing it would literally take couple of days AT MOST. Yet they are kept in game for WEEKS. But at the same time? Other issues that doesn't ruin the experience are fixed within hours from the update. Yet there's just no other game like this. Hunt Showdown has been in my library since It's release, I vividly remember how Crytek said It's their last chance or else they might go bankrupt (or at least people were sayin' that) and when the game released? It was a mess. It was crashing all the time, even a good pc had the mushy models and fuckedup textures, bosses were abused into oblivion, BUT nowdays It's a really, REALLY great game again, with no other game like it. Sure, people call it "an extraction game" which is fair and true, but you don't really loot anything. It's 85% shooting, 10% running and 5% gunning (and 100% remembering of the name ofc) and It's just fine... one thing I'm a bit ... well "fed up of" are the events and updates. The updates slowed down reeeally good, the events were fun and exciting, yet it just feels like they are just reusing the previous events over and over... the last time I had genuine fun again, was when the Beetles were released. It revived the old me of trying out weird builds like going into the game with a free hunter and just 4 beetles (so did my friends) or when we were going with the small small gun that has 4 barrels (can't remember the name right now... derringer? something like that) or simply by grabbing just a sword, Bomb lance and that's it :^) Just a month ago, I saw the whole Mass Effect Trilogy + Andromeda in a huge sale, so I bought it and played through it after years again. I had such a blast, finished it in 2 weeks on 100% achievements (had a vacation, planned a trip to my friend in Sweden, but he got sick so I stayed home and played games and made music the whole 2 weeks) and after I was finished, tried out Andromeda finally, hated it so much I've stopped playing after 20 hours, bought Red Dead Redemption 2, finished the story for the first time, such a great game!! Bought LA Noire that's yet to be played and the whole Dishonored series, but after finishing the first game... I don't know... I'll rather play Thief 1 & 2 over again :^) Def. do play some singleplayer games if you are getting bored of multiplayer ones... such a relief not to argue with anyone all the time, just find a good singleplayer game and have fun, afterall that's what they are made for, have fun :^)
Man, mentioning bugadins now, I don't know man 😅. It's fun game but the amount of bugs on game and server side as well as some of the broken characters have never been addressed completely.
@@GerardMenvussa the worst part is they will overhaul ui Or change anti-heal/dmg reduction mechanic but can solve the old bugs. On top of that they introduce new bugged/over powered champs most of the time.
@@reynold99991 Yeah, their problem is clearly bad management. The higher ups keep changing the project and the programmers can't keep up. When I was playing, in the span of a couple years maybe, the game went from having 2-3 currencies, to as many as 6 I believe, and back to 3. They also changed the home menu many times, removed a mode, added poorly built events, removed a stealth mechanism, added a battlepass, forked a Fornite clone as a side project which they then abandoned as well... They keep running all over the place and QA and QoL suffer.

Battle bit has amazing gunplay, it is counter strike level refined, kinda camping heavy depending on the map tho. I hope some fun community mods come out for battlebit. Paladins also was always really fun, a shame the player base never got bigger.
Paladins has also benefited from some really top-tier people pushing to make it better than ever. The Community Manager's even been trying to clean up the lore so it makes sense for newcomers. Plus none of the characters in Paladins have been horrendously broken with late-stage reduxes like what happened to Mercy and Symmetra in OW. Instead, that character you loved years ago? They're still fun to use!
hey garbaj! rather unrelated to the video really but i wanted to ask about your opinions on the starfield gameplay deep dive. people originally very critical of how the combat felt. that changed with the latest direct. what do you think could be the key factors that made that combat gameplay better? i personally noticed that the addition of hitmarkers helped a lot.
Not covered in the video, But I strongly recommend keeping an eye on The Finals. The most recent closed beta felt great to play
i dunno, former titanfall devs made something weird with noob tubes, 3sec TTK and destructible environment... all those things just contradict each other.
Does make u think if all those "former devs of X goty" rly that good, like every time somebody make an announcement like this, it sounds sus to me, like someone washed on the shore bragging they were a captain of the ship. Cuz real Names don't need introductions like that. can't rly remember any good game from "former devs of x" usually its... something mediocre at best. like B4B
@@UltimRoGuE Oh wow, I didn't even know it was made by former Titanfall devs! That is cool. I definitely agree with you that the balancing is awful, and in my opinion they need to expand upon the movement.. but so far it has been the only multiplayer fps game I really enjoy

so sad the movements feels a little too boring, the finals with apex/titanfall (i know apex comes from tf i just protec myself from the usual APEX MOVEMENTS ARE ACTUALLY TITANFAL MOVEMENTS CUZ IT'S THE SAME DFSGDFGSDFG) movements would be crazy. optics would be cool too

@@unia. yeah but i don't know it feels like grounded movements are very very very vanilla. No circle jump, no bhop/airstraffe, slide doesn't really give much speed so I don't really get its point, eventually maintaining speed while engaging in a 1v1 ? but 1v1 feels rare (i only noticed pressing slide and jump together gives a slight speed boost). So crossing the map feels like a pain in the ass.
Also I like it when games lets you play very agressive and open as long as you're skilled enough with your ground movements to quickly get back to cover, and I don't feel like the finals lets you do this.
I'll give it a better chance next time.
Also I don't know why you would make so sights and crosshairs are not actually showing you where you are shooting. It might not be intentionnal and be fixed later.
My dream game would basically be high ttk, sharp gunplay, skillfull movements, very nervous arcade and mechanically demanding gameplay, with a small bit of macro strategy, like dealing with tempo, fight positions etc, and short term team communications.
Project Reality is something too if you want a free old coop shooter that's still somewhat active. Has constant 70+ players in American PVP servers; with EU and Asian coop servers very active at certain times.
there are some excellent indie single player games out there, dusk and ultrakill are the more well known ones, nightmare reaper is a personal favorite of mine
now lets wait for 1 man to make an arena game

If anyone is looking for a solo movement shooter you have to try ultrakill. It is one of my favourite games ever.
NGL i'm rly rootin for Ubi and hope they will their best with new games they announced and plan to release, Assassin seems to be going back to the roots, Xdefiant yes, doesn't look rly fancy, but they bring bunch of somewhat controversal things to gameplay, and it's good (like weak af Aim Assist), Prince of Persia like in my school days, is sidescroller platformer, i rly hope they manage to get over crisis they induced on themself and we will get Ubi Renascence. Which will be super cool, since it will affect industry as whole. Same goes for those games with "cheap" visuals... Gamedev lie dormant lately, i mean ye, we have releases here and there, but big industry with big money didn't rly bring anything good in past years, it's rly sad
Trepang2 just came out and I'm straight up addicted to it right now.
Just yesterday I bought Industria since I heard good things and it was on sale. It doesnt have the lenght, polish and optimization of a triple A game, but I still had a great time.
Personally, I can(and have for a while) advocate for paladins.
The game is in a MUCH better state now than at launch, and I think the game is way healthier than it was years ago, during its peak player count.
The devs have made big improvements to the game, and honestly, I'd love to see the game be popular again.
The biggest issue is, due to the smaller playerbase(and the shadow of overwatch) many people don't really take the game seriously, even in ranked, which can be frustrating.
I think if the game released at its current quality, it would've done much much better.
I love movement shooters, i recommand THE FINALS. I played the bêta 2 and its amazing i think
Not sure if this is as relevant, but I think it might be: Another game called Vintage Story that can be described as "Minecraft, surviving, making tools etc. is much, much more realistic" has gotten in my eye. Updates provide tons of stuff, more than Mojang did in 3 year (in terms of actual content or "per update") and it looks like it can become quite the amazing game in the future!

"Triple A" has been seen as obsolete for movies for a while. It's about time other media follows this example.
2 single player games I highly recommend are ultrakill and noita.
Ultrakill is a movement shooter and it's possibly the best one made so far despite not being complete yet, it has a lot of tech and moments that you think "it would be pretty cool if I could just do this..." and then you do it and it actually works. It also will absolutely kick your ass in some areas, especially bosses, but every time you defeat one of them and go to the next level and it feels a bit easier to you, there is a faint and sweet feeling of "I'm getting better at this". Also, the soundtrack is absolutely great.
Noita is a 2d pixel game about a silly little wizard dude going down into a mountain. It has one of the best and most complex wand building systems I've used, which allows the player to create some pretty crazy stuff, and every pixel does something, which pairs very well with the alchemy system
Noita is cool, I always enjoy games with magic systems that aren't afraid to let the player break the game a little lol.
Hopefully this is the start of the multiplayer industry actually changing. People are finally getting fed up with their favorite games constantly dropping in quality, and instead of just dealing with it they are moving on. Its what the industry needs, you shouldn't be able to put minimal effort into a game and still retain a playerbase.
echo point nova demo on steam is awesome, great movement. very excited for Sprawl and Midair2 coming later this year. also been enjoying Friends vs Friends a rare 1v1 2v2 fps
It heartens me to hear others reaching for alternatives, because it's always been one of my core philosophies to search for the option that is best for me, not the one created on the largest budget.
I think the march of progress has really closed the gap, offering small teams of developers the tools the do more with less than they had been able to do previously. In addition, there's also greater ability to get exposure as a smaller studio/team, though that does sometimes mean there can be over saturation in the games market.
Both have been true for a while, and I think the limiting factor has just been the mindset to maintain a dichotomy between AAA and Indie. The hesitancy to consider playing a game amongst many people because it's been labeled and looks "Indie" has been the slowest to change, but I think that hesitancy has certainly been weakening. Especially as more and more supposedly "Indie" games make as big of a splash as AAA titles.
Another reason for Xdefiant's recent success is Activison shut down Xlabs and other COD clients forcing players to find an alternative.
After being similarly frustrated with overwatch I tried out Quake Champions for the first time this month and I love it. I still suck at duels but I'll get there. Strongly recommend for anyone looking for a fast paced fps that can either be super laid back or super competitive

I went back to Insurgency Sandstorm lately because of the Arbusto aka ISMC2 mod which brings a bunch of new stuff to the game.
I've been meaning to play stalker for a while now, will probably get it in the summer sale
Super stoked for Battlefield/mil-sim fans. Not a fan of that type of gunplay myself, but hopefully we can get a good arcade shooter in the future with this working as a proof-of-concept
My only gripe with battle bit is that its not free to play. I know a lot of people like this move but it puts battle bit on a limited life span if they dont put micro transaction. I just dont understand why they could have some not over the top skins for guns or custom win animations or something of the sort. I know people are sick of micro transactions and I respect the devs for doing it but it just makes it so the game is closed off to such a big audience which would've loved it.

I'm interested in a tutorial on how to make lo-fi polygons like on the DS, particularly with more realistic proportions. All the tutorials I have found are for PS1 and N64 style graphics. A good reference point to what I mean are the graphics from games such as Phantasy Star 0, Avalon Code, and Cop the Recruit.

I'd like to add to the list of things people should try. The "Blockfront " mod for Minecraft. It's a WW2 shooter with tons of well made and animated guns, grenades etc. There also is a zombie Mode, heavily inspired by cod but as of right now it's quite new and missing a lot of features. There's different modes like Demolition, TDM, free4all, gun game and they might add Search and destroy mode but haven't confirmed it yet. They are already working on vehicles for a large scale mode, when that releases it would basically be Battlefield. They update it very frequently and always try to fix bugs and listen to the community. Something I miss in a lot of other games.
BATTLEBIT is the best $15 i've spent on a game ln like 6 years. the games amazing, the devs are amazing, the community is golden.

a small game that was just released that is absolutely incredible is the 1v1 or 2v2 game Friends Vs Friends. i play it with a few friends and sometimes online it's an absolutely wonderful game and you should give it a shot.
I have been causaly playinh paladins for 5-7 years. Its good to see people playing paladins again. Its a great game with big unused potential, the company behind it just did not use it fully.

Valheim! It's easily the best 15 bucks I've spent on a game in my life. It's a beautiful game with limitless replayability. and if your of the peasant persuasion, it's on Xbox too.

People might be willing to try smaller games but ultimately most of them will probably end up back with the big games before long. The recent release of Street Fighter 6 is a great example. A lot of Street Fighter players ended up switching to primarily playing Guilty Gear or KOF because of their dissatisfaction with the state of Street Fighter 5, but now 6 is out and it provides a much smoother online experience than those games so lots of people are back to Street Fighter now. Smaller devs may be in a better position to respond to player demands but they'll always struggle to keep up with major developers that have lots of resources to provide reliable netplay and new content.

Dota2 mainly because I have a passionate hate towards the League community, there is NO WORSE COMMUNITY, than of Riot Games ... games...
I'm dead serious, their games are super well made, but if it is a multiplayer title? I'm good.
With Tarkov It's been a real rocky ride.
Been playing Tarkov since 2017, been through thick and thin with this game and even I must admit, their development and fixing stuff up REALLY needs a step up.
There's been many issues with the game, where fixing it would literally take couple of days AT MOST. Yet they are kept in game for WEEKS. But at the same time? Other issues that doesn't ruin the experience are fixed within hours from the update.
Yet there's just no other game like this.
Hunt Showdown has been in my library since It's release, I vividly remember how Crytek said It's their last chance or else they might go bankrupt (or at least people were sayin' that) and when the game released? It was a mess. It was crashing all the time, even a good pc had the mushy models and fuckedup textures, bosses were abused into oblivion, BUT nowdays It's a really, REALLY great game again, with no other game like it.
Sure, people call it "an extraction game" which is fair and true, but you don't really loot anything. It's 85% shooting, 10% running and 5% gunning (and 100% remembering of the name ofc) and It's just fine... one thing I'm a bit ... well "fed up of" are the events and updates.
The updates slowed down reeeally good, the events were fun and exciting, yet it just feels like they are just reusing the previous events over and over... the last time I had genuine fun again, was when the Beetles were released.
It revived the old me of trying out weird builds like going into the game with a free hunter and just 4 beetles (so did my friends) or when we were going with the small small gun that has 4 barrels (can't remember the name right now... derringer? something like that) or simply by grabbing just a sword, Bomb lance and that's it :^)
Just a month ago, I saw the whole Mass Effect Trilogy + Andromeda in a huge sale, so I bought it and played through it after years again.
I had such a blast, finished it in 2 weeks on 100% achievements (had a vacation, planned a trip to my friend in Sweden, but he got sick so I stayed home and played games and made music the whole 2 weeks) and after I was finished, tried out Andromeda finally, hated it so much I've stopped playing after 20 hours, bought Red Dead Redemption 2, finished the story for the first time, such a great game!!
Bought LA Noire that's yet to be played and the whole Dishonored series, but after finishing the first game... I don't know... I'll rather play Thief 1 & 2 over again :^)
Def. do play some singleplayer games if you are getting bored of multiplayer ones... such a relief not to argue with anyone all the time, just find a good singleplayer game and have fun, afterall that's what they are made for, have fun :^)
the reason why these indie games are loved is because they are that. games to be played unlike AAA companies seeing their games as a money funnel.
Man, mentioning bugadins now, I don't know man 😅. It's fun game but the amount of bugs on game and server side as well as some of the broken characters have never been addressed completely.
I still get Vietnam flashbacks from all the crashes and game ruining bugs.
After so many years of Dev, it is absolutely unacceptable.
@@GerardMenvussa the worst part is they will overhaul ui Or change anti-heal/dmg reduction mechanic but can solve the old bugs. On top of that they introduce new bugged/over powered champs most of the time.
@@reynold99991 Yeah, their problem is clearly bad management. The higher ups keep changing the project and the programmers can't keep up.
When I was playing, in the span of a couple years maybe, the game went from having 2-3 currencies, to as many as 6 I believe, and back to 3. They also changed the home menu many times, removed a mode, added poorly built events, removed a stealth mechanism, added a battlepass, forked a Fornite clone as a side project which they then abandoned as well...
They keep running all over the place and QA and QoL suffer.
