Definitely think Mappa will do a good job bringing the source material to life. Not a terrible series by any means but the exposition and power system in the manga definitely make it a tough read at times. Definitely a 7/10 for me!

I a really enjoyed Hells Paradise. I am really looking forward to the anime as well. I picked up all the manga a while ago. It was kind of sad Yuji Kaku's newest series got canceled so quickly. It was ok but not as good as Hells Paradise.

I’m on the third volume and the exposition is fine and it builds the world and fleshes out the characters a lot more it sounds like you favor more battle scenes than world/character building, As far as the villains are concerned the island is the villain and it acts as it’s own character so far it’s a solid 8 I think 7 is kind of disrespectful lmfao
I just finished hell's Paradise about at least a month ago and I would say for me personally I give it like a 6 out of 10 because I do agree with the points you made that there are certain elements in the story that if they weren't adding in it would have not really messed the story up to some extent. Hell's Paradise is definitely a good series it just there's certain parts of it that just for me just like you said unnecessary I definitely agree with you on the the cons for this series and definitely the pros as well it's just like my rating just one point it was for the unnecessary parts and the definitely explaining certain parts of this island's lore it definitely it could be interesting but at the same time it was really a drag when it wasn't that's why I gave it a six for me
I think out the big dark three trio with chainsaw man, jjk and hells paradise. This series is the most consistent and definitely deserves more love than the other two.
The synopsis alone got me htped on reading the manga, but I was a little disappointed at some of the chapters. I usually binge read a series I started, but this one it took me more than a month to finish. Some of the characters were well developed, others were just there and I had no idea how to feel about them if they survive ir not. My favorites of all the cast had to be the Aza brothers. If I have to rate it, I will give it a solid 7/10

I’ll give it a 6.5 you’re Shugen ruins the series and it felt rushed drastically near the end. And the reason Shugen ruins it is because he is so OP. And it felt like a fast way to wrap up the ending. They didn’t even lazily say Shugen was busy doing something. If the Shogun completely believe in the elixir existed why would Shogen be on the first boat? It makes no sense the part of the old man being a fraud felt like a fast cop out
I will be checking out the anime fo sho but the manga will be a pass . I read volume one & didn't want to continue reading just felt like dedicating that time to other books
I absolutely loved Hell’s Paradise and it is one of my favorite new gen manga’s. 9 out of 10!
