Immediately straight to the point. 100000x better than the instructions that came with this thing. I wish the entire internet was like you and this video. Thanks a lot!
Great vid. Spent ages trying to work this out using the instructions, wasn’t getting anywhere. Then I found your vid and I had the job done in minutes. Thanks for taking the time to make it. Thank you🎉
Maybe it was cuz i was in a rush or I'm stupid, i couldn't wrap my head around the thule instructions. Thank you for your easy to understand instructions, you made it look so much simpler.
That's exactly why I made this video. I see so many bikes facing backwards and I like them pointing forward. So I thought that maybe people didn't know about this trick.. Really glad it did help you!
That's what I intend with my videos.. Showing everybody how to get hand on and more often than not people find it to be easier than they anticipated. Really glad to be of help.
Super useful thanks - Just bought one of these and need to flip it to fit on the passenger side. As others have pointed out, the Thule provided instructions can be a bit cryptic!
I find it very pleasing that my video that I thought was nothing much is actually helping a lot of people. Thanks for the time put in watching and commenting. 😎
very good to know. they're a very nice rack and well built.. ua-cam.com/video/kM8ADV6zoxQ/v-deo.html I've also done this one on fitting them to the car. Might be interesting to you too.
Very nice explained as commented by the other people here but in my opinion not quite correct. The the wheel they not only need to be flipped 180 degrees but they also need to be swapped end to end otherwise the straps face the wrong direction (towards the centre of the bike rather than away from it) - Thule specifically call this is out in the fitting instructions. Also the rear roof bar mount needs to be flipped so you don't have to reach over the carrier to lock it down (again covered in the instructions). Fully agree the the Thule instructions are not at all easy to follow but just thought I'd point this out. Great stuff otherwise..
Yeah.. Now that you mention it, I see what you're saying. And it does make sense.. At the time of this video I was actually fitting 8 to 12 carriers a week and 3 or 4 of those needed flipped and I never realised I was reaching over to lock the rear roof bar mount. Just got used to the process I guess.. Thanks for pointing that out.. 👍🏾
Great video...😊 Any help with the 591 model?? The base of the arm unit is different and I cant seem to unscrew it to remove it and switch it to the other side...
It's been years since I touched a 591. Everybody was upgrading for the 598 when I worked with these. But 591 is basically the same as a 598. Try give a tap on the screws to break them free and wiggle the base off once unscrewed. The principle of removing it is the same as a 598 if memory serves me right...
After reading the instructions and doing the flip on mine I just want to point out that the strap should be also flipped on the other end so the direction of the strap is right. Just minor detail i noticed
@@_LuisS on your video you are flipping the strap mechanism but on the same end of the rack. I meant to say the instructions recommend to put the strap mechanism on the other end when flipping the bar

Wow buddy..
Can't actually put to words how your comment makes me feel.
Thanks you very much for taking the time to watch my video and comment. 😎
Thanks for the video. Swapped sides on mine this morning. Only did it because this video was so precise and straightforward.
Thule should be putting these up on their channel, thanks. 👍🤑
Straight to the point. Exactly what I needed. Excellent contribution sir.
Much appreciated.
Glad it did help...

Always good to know I'm helping. 😉
Great video mate straight to the point
Legend. So simple once you know
Very easily done. Funny thing is, it's in the instructions but majority of people don't even read it. ☺
No nonsense! Great video answered everything I needed.
You rock!
These comments make it all worth while..
Thank you very much. 🤙🏾
Maybe it was cuz i was in a rush or I'm stupid, i couldn't wrap my head around the thule instructions. Thank you for your easy to understand instructions, you made it look so much simpler.
I get it because I was actually told how to do it before I realised how simple it was..
I've got no idea I could do that, thanks sir !! Nice tip.

My pleasure. 😉
You sir are a legend 👏👏👏
Nice video. Cheers pal 👍
Many thanks for this video, I had no idea this could be done. Previously had one bike facing backwards
Thanks.. It's not that it looks bad. I just prefer having them both facing forward! 😉
You are awesome! Only took me 3 years…
Ahah.. Thanks..
Better late than never right? 😊
100%!

Thank you!
Great video. Thanks for the info. It helped me a lot.
Thank you for watching and leaving your feedback. 🤜🏾
Thank you
Cheers buddy!
THANK YOU! Really wanted my bike mounted on the left side and I could not find anywhere how to do it.
😊
Really happy that it helped.. 👍🏾
Muy útil
Brilliant, thanks!
Thanks for sharing 👍
Glad it was helpful. 😉
thanks for sharing this good tip!
Here to help!
Excellent. Nice, quick & to the point video. Why can’t they all be like that ? Cheers buddy. 😊
Much appreciated pal.. Really good reading nice comments.
Fantastic video and very informative! Also a fantastic Watch on your arm. What is the name of the watch?
Oh man.. Much appreciated for your comment.
The watch it's a Diesel DZ-7373.
It's very big too.. Takes a while to get used to the size and weight.. 😉
Thank you so much, I thought either Thule is dumb or myself 😂

Oh stop it you... ☺ 😉
bloody genius. my car dealer wanted +30% for the flipped Thule rack. what a ripoff!
What? 🤯
Cannot believe how much they try to rip off people for literally 5m work.. 🤦🏾♂️
@@_LuisS yeah one price for the left one, +30% for the right one. I thought something was off when I saw Thule didnt sell separate L/R stands.
After reading the instructions and doing the flip on mine I just want to point out that the strap should be also flipped on the other end so the direction of the strap is right. Just minor detail i noticed
You're absolutely right.
Didn't I mention that? 🤔
Done the video a good while ago and not sure if I did it didn't..
@@_LuisS on your video you are flipping the strap mechanism but on the same end of the rack. I meant to say the instructions recommend to put the strap mechanism on the other end when flipping the bar
@masoukamil oh.. You're right.
That's what you should do. At the time I failed to mention it and do it..
ace!
The front and back foot should be swapped as well as the 180 degreeflip shown in the video (this way the straps also face the right way)
100% right...
At the time I forgot to mention this part..
