Stayed there over sixty years ago with family and relatives. All piled into a 6 berth caravan. Things have changed. No funfair or market across the street. I recall the clubhouse for evening entertainment with parents and the slot machine area. No swimming pool then. Used to catch bus to Rhyl for extra fun. I recall a camp called "Happy Days" next door used when Winkups was full. I wonder if its still there? Thanks for sharing. Happy memories.

Thanks for your lovely comment .. yeah I to first holidayed in Towyn around the mid 70’s .. nothing like it is now .. Black Cat Arcade and 1 or 2 others is all i remember.. Black Cat still going … Happy Days is still there , dropped a family off there today.
Rhyl was where it was all happening like you say , other way round now.

Never stayed on Winkups Glenn , although We went to the Social Club for a few pints back in the 90s when We were on Kerfoots .

Another great video Glenn, I've been waiting to see the Winkups video as I have only seen it from the front , I have just found out there's a Lyons caravan park next to Palin's holiday park just across the road from Winkups, i will be going to Rhyl for a day out in a few weeks time so i hope to see you then.
