I don't really want to know about traffic and travelling in North Wales😂...been a driver for over 40 years and last time I was there in August I was heading back home to Buxton on the A55 past Bodelwydan junction and got myself caught doing 57mph in a 50 segment...when the chap asked why I sped on the speed awareness course I said because som idiot came out of the junction last year and nearly hit us then shot into the verge...it was self preservation in August and the course bloke laughed and said that was the first time he had heard anyone say they put their foot down on purpose...I don't know ...over 40 years driving and never even had a parking ticket🤣

Most of the fairground stuff from tir Prince are open at Christmas fairs across the country at the moment

Great vid again Glenn ...we used to walk from Llandudno to the castle but catch the sightseeing bus now...love the trips out in the boats into the harbour as well ...I have only been on the castle tour once cos I am petrified of heights and can't even walk around the walls now ...mind you most of the wall was closed off last August...I wasn't grumbling 😅...my pension is due anytime soon so I've promised the Mrs I will take her to Llandudno for a couple of days over the Xmas period ...not a dirty weekend cos I'm petrified of that as well... I had a summer holiday here once back in the 80’s but we normally stopped on the golden gate site. Every summer throughout the 70’s & 80’s great memories as a child… been back a good few times since to but never for more than a day trip.

I do that! When I’m back home, I think of what I’d be doing if I was still off and away. But then, when I’m away, I think of what I’d be doing if I was at home!

Wow towyn looks bad with those storms i know north wales very well the caravan sites are not that bad compaired to some sites ive seen kinmel bay and sandy coveband the seagull pub lol i used to holiday here every year from the age of 3yr my mum and dad loved the place its a shame thouth rhyl has gone abit down hill towyn is a fantastic holiday resort small but brilliant i used to stay in golden sands mu mum owned a caravan there and my uncle lives in prestatyn ❤️👍☺️

That hill got me as well...we carried on to the Little Orme trig and were sweating buckets🤣...what saddened me was that a couple of years ago a dog went down to the seals and pups at the Great Orme and sadly the pups on the beach were abandoned by their mothers...I also think that although I am a great dog lover dogs should be on the lead at Angel Bay and have witnessed dog owners let them run down the incline there...No educating folk sometimes...same here in the Peak District where dog owners allow their dogs to run free when chicks are hatching on the moorlands...Really enjoyed this one Glenn...Cheers Les.🙂👍

Llandudno hasn't changed much in the last 60 years. Given the location it is surprising how long the pier has lasted. Nice to hear the scouse language still alive in N Wales. The newsagents around there always used to keep the "Echo" as I remember to cater for the ethnic minority.

I was on that pier a few weeks back and have to say didn’t feel totally confident about some of the decking as I walked down it. Hope it’s escaped too much damage, I’d be devastated if it closed like Southport’s!

I have bad memories about Rhos-on-Sea...Twenty years ago my Mrs decided to buy a family tent and we pitched at Dinarth Hall...It never stopped bloody raining so within an hour me and the Mrs and two of my sons just got in the car and drove back to Buxton leaving my 17 year old son there with his one man tent cos he had met some girls...We returned again the following morning to pack the tent away and pick our Danny up...Our tent was under a foot of water...The first and last time we ever went camping...Hotels or B&B or caravan since then🤣Nice vid though Glenn...Cheers Les.🙂👍

We always turn off the A55 at Rhyl and go to Towyn Market before heading to Llandudno...Got the best ever fleeced jacket from there...We stopped two years ago at the Whitehouse holiday park in a caravan and I creased myself cos the Mrs and youngest son got stung by a jellyfish when they were paddling...I don't usually go in the sea cos its wet🤣...Another good vid Glenn...Cheers Les.🙂👍

Brilliant ...we catch the train from Llandudno to Betws-y-Coed and walk up to the falls ...the first time we did it we walked up the right hand side of the river and thought we would never get there...since then we walk up the road and it's so much quicker... I'm looking at our 25th wedding anniversary candle now that is on the shelf which we bought from the gift shop near the station a few years ago...the biggest surprise we got there was a friend who left Buxton 20 years ago and she was working in the cafe again behind the station...she never knocked owt off the bill though...Great vid ... don't need to take my camera in future cos it's all on your Channel 😂...Cheers Les🙂👍

Thanks for this Glen. Nice to see life outside of my house, been inside all the time.. Have at least 5 panels blown to smithereens, garden furniture blown everywhere my satellite dish is hanging off the wall, literally by a thread. I bought gravel for my garden to put over the weed suppressant. Had to barrow 4 tons of it to stop the material blowing onto the beach. Worst storm ever for me. The tiles were lifting and slept downstairs.. Good to see you are ok. Hope that the pier gets help and put back to its magnificent condition again .

The owner said on BBC Wales that he did not own the Pier and he only looks after it. The newscaster quoted him as the owner, as does Google search. Confused yet? Owner must have buildings insurance otherwise he could not operate as a Trader. He will also have to have public liability and business insurance. So frankly, setting up a gofundme account for £250k to expect the general public to pay for the damage is not in my opinion entirely nor really ethical. Owner also bought the hole in the ground for £2m next to the pier to stop developers building on it. (Former Pavilion Theatre). I can't go to the vets and get my dog treated, then ask the public to pay my excess for my insurance or for the treatment. Owner has enough money, Owner is a millionaire, I think it's sad what has happened to the pier and all, but I don't agree it's right in asking the public to donate in order to pay for the damage. People can hardly make ends meet these days as it is. I think this is fair comment. I live here and I personally think it's a matter of ethics and principles, (Would the pier company step up and help pay for your car if it got squashed by a tree)? No chance, therefore, after what I have factually seen and heard, personally I won't be donating. The Pier Company can pay their own excess, and where I ask please, in stone is it officially written that a wrecked kiosk and roof repairs for the toilets will cost £250k? Not right this man, in my opinion, asking to take further from the community and the general public.

Amazing video mate. I just felt like I was walking there myself. Glad the damage isn’t worse than I expected. Llandudno pier is very special place. So many memories made there back then 🥹. Really appreciate every video you take for us. Your channel is the best.

So sad to see; I was in Llandudno last week and walked along that beautiful pier and had a drink in the little cafe at the very end of the pier.

What the owners thought they were going to lose was their cash cow, they don't care about the actual pier, if they did, they'd have spent a bit of money on it instead of take take take... Now they set up a go fund me to fix it???? It's in a state and they need to get in their own pockets to fix it, not beg for money they don't need!

I love watching a rough sea, but it is a concern for such a majestic pier, I was there in July for a few days, forgive for asking, but I noticed quite a few wind turbines offshore, are they new ?

Conwy Council need to get their act sorted and clear the drains between Pensarn and Kinmel Bay flooding along there is getting ridiculous, Denbighshire needs to do the same on their roads.

Lost electricity up the valley 🙁lots of trees down too

It was so sad watching that storm...I come from Buxton and we stay twice a year in the Grand at Llandudno...I remember the last battering when the trees fell at Happy Valley but this storm has been something else...we are going again in May and I hope the pier will be open and repaired by then...Great footage and new sub here...Cheers Les.🙂👍

Storm Darrah... when will it end? I have 2 fence panels out so far here in Prestatyn, with the neighbours fence looking to take more out. The satellite dish has even fallen off the wall !!!! We thought that it was snowing but it was the foam from the sea. Looks to be lasting much longer than expected. Stay safe mate.
