Nice to have you in my establishment. We carry multiple sizes. We make 4 different size sandwiches to consider everyone’s budget and also appetite. We are Halal and we serve Jewish style products.
As usual UA love the culinary critique glad you find out the way establishments ..... please keep finding these types of places I learn from you.I know I'm not alone with that👍🍽️
You don't drink soup you eat it , the soup is tomato based that is thickened with rice or vermicelli its meant to break the fasting during Ramadan hence its lighter healthy vegetable soup
Some people on this post are saying that this neighborhood is Crown Heights. Actually, David's Brisket, as mentioned in the video, is in fact, in Bedford Stuyvesant (Bed-Stuy). Crown Heights begins after Atlantic Avenue.
@uaeats great review as always and appreciate your authenticity; my wife and I are obsessed with your reviews. Just curious, what is your set up for these reviews like mic, camera, and tripod? I travel for work for a living in a different state each day but also based in Queens NY with some of the most diverse authentic cuisine. Been wanting to do some food reviews.
David's Brisket House is excellent. I miss it. I used to eat there all the time, but it is too hard for me to get to now. People come from miles away to purchase their food. Glad you enjoyed it!
Harira is my favorite Moroccan soup that I always eat when I go there. I will have to get out to Bed Stuy to try this spot. I am curious to see how Yemenis make it compared to Moroccans. In Morocco harira can be bought as cheap as 5 dirham (50 cents) and I always get 2.
UA: overall that's a super stop! I love that type of thick lentil-like soup! Again at $13 each for a nice, decent, normal sandwich it's a real winner! Now, I'm sure that the rent in Bed-Stuy is a lot cheaper than the city so the prices reflect a very good value! Also, it's a neighborhood location that the NYPD lunches at!
I'm a ambulette driver and would pickup patients in area and would stop by to eat Jewish food run by Muslims in a African American neighborhood . Management knew me years ago and treated me real well . Omar was manager then . For price and food and ambience I love it there .great video
They used to have a Davids Brisket house in Bay Ridge. I loved their Brisket sandwich. Too hard to travel to know but after your review, I think I will travel there.
@@robbiedaniels2164You are right. I always got the brisket in Bay Ridge. I should have tried the pastrami. Maybe when it gets warmer, I will make the long trip. Really miss that that sandwich. 😢
Hello UA , I'm fairly new to your channel, so I'm playing catch-up. Enjoying your videos, wondering why your " mole ", switches from one side of your jaw to the other on different videos?
Why wouldn't he ask? They are serving Jewish deli staples; it would make sense if they offered a matzo ball soup of some sort - in fact I'm kind of shocked they didn't. And I'd love to see what a Halal version of matzo ball soup would be like.
That looks spot on. Properly portioned and reasonably priced plus tasty. Plenty of hope for Middle East if Muslims can take over and operate a Jewish deli retaining the Davids name - embrace diversity.
I am 100% that Inca chicken opened their first store at that address in 1988!! How is this place opened for 50yrs? Were they across the street originally? I remember there was a deli/coffee shop right across where the owner was always interested in taking over 533. Wow memories! Inca chicken is at 122 wyckoff in bushwick now!!
You should try Benjamin’s steakhouse. Went there during NYC restaurant week and was a good deal. Curious what you would think about the steak! A lot of celebrities have been there!
How were the pickles?💜 Thank God it's Easter Sunday. I've been having red meat withdrawal since fat Tuesday damn penguins beating Catholic rituals into me 🙃
There is a close call here but 2nd Ave. Is more delicate to me on both the pastrami and the corned beef. 2nd Ave's soups are superior. 2nd Ave. offers a choice of breads with or without seeds on the rye and pumpernickel. Katz's bread has never been an award winner: just average. 2nd Ave. is more boutique and unique. Katz is mass not class.
kinda xpensive 13 bux for a small sammy imo! it looked dryAF but i haven't eatened many deli sammys in my life lolz . i eat at subways for 12in meatball thats only 7bux cdn when theres a deal
As far as I understand the dietary codes , if you are Jewish/ Muslim you can consume the same meat because it is slaughtered /processed in the same way . The food looked great .😊
I’m just here crying about the wasted pickles. For me, that makes the sandwich twice as good. Both of those sandwiches looked great with or without pickles, though.
Why dont you try Mr. Broadway/Ben’s in midtown? Mr. Broadway and Ben’s merged like a year ago. Its a truly kosher deli. Give the Glatt kosher places some representation!!
I have! Not long ago I've done Stl style BBQ, authentic Chinese food, Vegas buffets, even a Native American restaurant. You can visit my channel page from time to time if UA-cam is only recommending my deli and steak vids to you
So that begs the question, why is he saying the taste is really good but the meat is so different in fat and tenderness when it's the same meat? Get what I'm saying?@@Gael_Liano
Wow, talk about being a NY pastrami snob, lol. I guess you've tried the pastrami everywhere in the world to back up that statement. I guess the rest of the whole world can't stack up to NYC.

Pastrami is very unhealthy
That was sweet of you to go compliment them before you left, UA.
i love that he did that!!!!! he should do that more often especially for mom and pop places. they love hearing it

Fair play for broadening your cultural food horizons 😀. Heading to NYC soon, can't wait to sample the food there!

Such a solid name for a restaurant. Brisket house? I’m sold.

You mean Amberlamps driver?
@PeeBurps-gk7cu ambulette is non emergency take patients in vans
UA makes a nastier face the better it is. Love it.
I LIKE your assessments. I also really like you leaving the establishment POSITIVE feedback = VERY "cool" & Soooo rare to see these days. ;)
UA. You have to try Tenafly Kosher Deli & Caterers, on Washington st. in Tenafly NJ. I have been there and loved it!
They used to have a Davids Brisket house in Bay Ridge. I loved their Brisket sandwich. Too hard to travel to know but after your review, I think I will travel there.
It's crazy to me that he didn't get the brisket at the brisket house. And brisket there is always thick cut, not thin like the other meats.
@@robbiedaniels2164You are right. I always got the brisket in Bay Ridge. I should have tried the pastrami. Maybe when it gets warmer, I will make the long trip. Really miss that that sandwich. 😢
Great video, from looking at the video, those sandwiches look pretty light?
He ordered the small option
Hello UA , I'm fairly new to your channel, so I'm playing catch-up. Enjoying your videos, wondering why your " mole ", switches from one side of your jaw to the other on different videos?
I was here to hear the obligatory "why don't we". So corny that it's cool.🤔😂🤣
@skizztrizz4453...There are some videos where he say`s that 8-10 times....then it gets a bit old
@@johnmalerba804 I'd much rather hear UA say "why don't we" than the absolutely annoying "let's go" everyone says over and over and over again.
Imagine playing a drinking game where you have to take a shot every time he says, "Why don't we".
What’s up with his old time pianey music
@@PeeBurps-gk7cu That drives me nuts. I feel like I'm in the Longbranch with Marshall Dillon and Ms Kitty. Gunsmoke.📽️🎥🎞️🎬
Take a drink every time you hear the word "viscous". You'll have a pretty good buzz going.
This place is so good. My usual order is the medium pastrami sandwich with cheese fries.
I like the music, and thought so before reading the comments. Great videos, UA.
That small size sandwich would be an extra large here in California.
yeah that is a normal sandwich here in South Florida
UA with the Corny Beef jokes lol
"Halal, Kosher, Irish...who cares?" You win the internet today, UA.
reddit moment
Omg can’t believe you asked if they had matzoh ball soup :) too funny!
Why wouldn't he ask? They are serving Jewish deli staples; it would make sense if they offered a matzo ball soup of some sort - in fact I'm kind of shocked they didn't. And I'd love to see what a Halal version of matzo ball soup would be like.
Went there last week! Hilarious you skipped the brisket at the brisket house, which is easily the best meat there (order large sandwich next time).
Love the review those pickles looked wonderful lol I would have mangled both of them sandwiches $$$$$man
UA you have to try essen deli on coney island. It’s fully kosher and would give any deli you’ve tried a run for their money.
That looks spot on. Properly portioned and reasonably priced plus tasty. Plenty of hope for Middle East if Muslims can take over and operate a Jewish deli retaining the Davids name - embrace diversity.
The sandwiches looked good. Also the soup. I’m not a big soup eater. But when I do I prefer the thicker heartier type of soups.
On point review thank you…

It's actually the next video! How'd you guess?
Haha awesome! Lucky guess I suppose.
That is how the soup is supposed to taste 😂😂 you eat it with bread and its a meal
For what ? A stick figure ? 😂
Since when was $13 acceptable for some sandwich with pickles??? 😢
I need to step my hustle game up…
Any suggestions ?
I’m broke. 😮
I lived in nyc and I can't for the life of me understand why people like dry bread for sandwiches, especially pastrami and corn beef❕️
One of your best….so far…
UA is so pure
How were the pickles?💜 Thank God it's Easter Sunday. I've been having red meat withdrawal since fat Tuesday damn penguins beating Catholic rituals into me 🙃
Rye bread is one of the best breads for its low sugar content and rich flavor. Further, it holds up well to the fat in the meat.
I tried the pastrami here. Pretty good flavor & price is reasonable. I tried other Jewish deli's & cost more & not as good flavor. I would go back.
Biggy hmmm hope Diddy isn't near 😂😂

Sad!
UA, you're so honest
Good on the mirroring 👍👍
Bed stuyvestant is Bklyn yeah in that borough.
The price point and portion size is perfect.
It's heavy and light. Am I the only one that's confused
It's heavy as a soup so it would make a light lunch on its own.
Everything I know about Bed Stuy is from Everybody Hates Chris. 😂
You went to a place that has brisket in it's name and didn't try the brisket?
Brisket is a cut of beef used to make both pastrami and corned beef (and Montreal Smoked Meat)
I honestly thought I was the only person who likes to rhyme "risk it" with "brisket" (or biscuit, for that matter).
As far as I understand the dietary codes , if you are Jewish/ Muslim you can consume the same meat because it is slaughtered /processed in the same way . The food looked great .😊
what makes something Kosher to Halal? I always assumed they were similar.
They are. But halal requires Muslim prayers.
You didn't eat the pickle 😢
Very rude. He comes off as a horses ass.
when you start pickin at food with your fingers, thats how you know its good🔥
Love this joint, all the meats are great and are quite cheap.

the brooklyn cheesesteak is good u shouldve had one.
It's chickpea soup 6:37
about half the meat or less than what you get at Katz
for about half the price
and you get half the flavor.
