I'm just glad I'm old and set in my ways - the range of choice these days is mind boggling and i would be paralysed with indecision as to which way is best to go :) .
I agree. I haven't bought anything new for a while but if I do I always end up dialing in my tone anyway. LOL so it's kind of a waste of money. I should experiment more.
I had this pedal for about a year. It's great at what it does. I preferred the 61 tones with my strat. You should try to get your hands on a true north pedals tweed pedal. It's kind of similar to this sort of. It would be a cool shoot out at least. I still have the true north pedal. It's wrapped in real tweed. Really cool pedal. With that said crazy tube circuits is making some amazing pedals in general.
The Boss FDR-1 is useless digital crap. The American Sound is a fabulous pedal. This pedal is on a par sound wise with the Catlinbread Formula No. 5 which is pure Neil Young in a box.
Yeah My thoughts are that pedals often sound like pedals and depending on your amp the sound may vary. Not sure if its a bad thing. I also like modeling because no way I could play all the real amps.
Sounding GREAT Shane! :-) Thanks for the preview of this new pedal. How does this compare to your American Sound Pedal? To my ear this pedal sounds slightly crunchier than the American Sound.
You strummed your first chord and I said "Yep. That's the sound I don't have." Adding in the pedal at that point seemed kind of superfluous. How does it sound through your Marshall? (Set clean--of course.)
Sweet pedal...I love it and love your channel brother! 🎸🔥 I have a question for you or anyone who reads this. I’m no circuit expert, but I want to try building a pedal. I’m looking for an all in one kit with everything included... maybe something with a couple of possible options to customize it to my preference rather than just a clone build. Any recommendations on some good places to find what I’m looking for??
Is it possible to use at room level and not just at full volume? because at home I hear it at a demo at a volume that my neighbors would call the police!!
I hope you dig the guitar tones and the new backing track! Some of the best pedals are coming out of Greece these days!
greece is the word !
Im so glad you did this
One 😊😊😊😊😊 I really like these Greek pedals. And Gus G/Firewind.
In my opinion the fender brownface amplifiers was fenders best era. They broke up the best. Very Musical.
A great solution for using for a small recording rig and the tones do Fender justice! 🎸🎸🎸🤙🏾🤙🏾
Oh man, the lead tones with delay is what sold me.
You're on fire lately, Shane! Great vids.
That’s such a nasty tone...I totally dig it! Great video mate!
Thanks Ric!

In 1983 I acquired a Randall rg80. That has been my distortion tone for 40 years.

Classic rock machine!
Sounds great ! Nice demo as always mate ! 😎🎸
I think you found your new drive pedal, Shane. Sounded great with the Tele.
That pedal sounds great. How does it compare to the Joyo American or the Boss FDR-1? In fact, how about a video comparing Fender emulation pedals?
I want to know too
I want to know how as well. Throw in the Gokko vintage sound as well. It’s an American sound clone, but I didn’t like it as much at all.
The Boss FDR-1 is useless digital crap. The American Sound is a fabulous pedal. This pedal is on a par sound wise with the Catlinbread Formula No. 5 which is pure Neil Young in a box.
Some nice tones in there. Loving the brown face
Fender amp in a box? I thought fender already puts their amps in a box.
Sounds good as always! The pedal still has a “thin” or manufactured sound compared to an amp though. Just my opinion.
Yeah My thoughts are that pedals often sound like pedals and depending on your amp the sound may vary. Not sure if its a bad thing. I also like modeling because no way I could play all the real amps.
Play it thru a handwired amp
This pedal sags at high gain levels. Awesome!
Instant Neil Young in a Box kind of breakup sound
Yup I got that!

Hoiw dies it compare to the Joyo American sound. Are u rznning straught to your Audio Interface?
Please watch the video I show you my signal chain. ;-)
@@intheblues Torpedo load box? So no e905, sm75?
5:38 There you go! Captain Lee's lick lol... this pedal sounds good too. Cheers!
Eww, that's the last time I play that Clapton lick then lol. 🤣
Winner!
Sweet pedal...I love it and love your channel brother!
🎸🔥

Nice demo Shane.....61 tone for me..
.....you got the Tom Jones yeaaaah down mate.....👍
How does this compare to the Joyo American Sound?
Yeah want also know
Quite different, I have the tech21 blonde, that's the one copied, and it hasn't the breakup this one has, especially on the low gain settings
@intheblues You should compare this to the Joyo american sound
The 55 reminds of Neil Young's tone, it is pretty good for a peddle!
So, do you like this one better than the Joyo American?
Hi, how does this compare to the Joyo American sound, which you rated highly?
i apreciate the reverb - less review ...really lets you hear what really going on . Then dial to taste for yourself .
How’s the Strat search going? Still looking for an American Original series?
Where does pedal like this fit in the signal chain of a board with 3 drive stages, cabinet simulator?
Can you plug this straight into a mixer to record into a daw and get a good result?
Is it possible to use at room level and not just at full volume? because at home I hear it at a demo at a volume that my neighbors would call the police!!
It seems that the 55 mode is way too distorted at lower settings. More variation would be nice.
Where did you pick the pick at 0'46" ?
196 usd for those wondering.
I like it, but I kept waiting for you to pull out the V. 😉
He played the V in the beginning .😎👍
@@toddflowers8052 - he did, but I wanted to see it after the demo.
The V is best played standing. 😉
@@sassycat Ah I see .😎
plug it in to the dsl. see if it will fenderize it. 😁
I had to smile so, this box makes a Fender amp sound like a Fender amp!
$300 in Australia is hard to justify when I can get a great sound from a SD-1, TS-mini, or a Soul Food for $60, $90, and $150 respectively.
tdunster2011 or better yet an MI AUDIO pedal which is Australian made
@@lukeandmelreynolds479 I did not know about these - prices are pretty good as well for an Aussie made pedal.
6G2 Princeton...
Aaaaahhhh you're cheating playing through a fender amp! Make a Vox or a Marshall sound like a vintage Fender you coward! 😜
