Grew up in that town and the peak population was 7000 during that time period. The first house you showed was part of our walk to the swimming pool with my cousins. King Street was filled with a close knit kid group. We spent our summers & winters outside from dawn to dusk. Innocent, good fun & filled w/mischief. Too bad you chose the slushy time to make this video. Wallace is a beautiful town especially in the summer. From what I have heard, they have a high drug usage rate which is heart breaking. Just found your channel. We relocated to Texas from Colorado 3 years ago. We will be in the retirement mkt in 5 years or so. Colorado got erased from our plans w the pending gun legislation that was passed this week. Please keep up the content.
fun fact..Wallace is the "hub" for UTV's and dirt bikes/ad vbikes on nice summer weekends. The town is overrun with them in summer months. You can ride your bike or utv about an hour through mtns(jaw dropping scenery) to Avery which has a couple places to eat and brewery.
The 3rd house is nice...from a landlords perspective, what would a house like this rent for. Think I'm going to have to make a trip there this summer. I've been looking at Wallace and other surrounding areas.
I love Wallace! But we stayed at the brooks hotel one time....definitely haunted! I didnt sleep at all. But the restaurant best turkey ive ever eaten. Order it everytime we go thru...3 times a year. And they have fun like hikes. My grandpa lived there till he was 18 and ww2 started. They had a brothel till sometimes in the 80s. Lol
One of the brothels was named the U & I. At about the age of three or four I spotted the sign & innocently asked if they made sugar there. My mom looked at me with a twinkle in her eye accompanied by chuckle said, "Sort of Honey." It was much, much later that I understood what she meant. 😅
I would like to see what you get for $650 monthly rent. I delivered appliances there a few times 2 years ago & it looked small but just my speed. Winters are very bad there & road maintenance was garbage. Mostly back ally parking at homes if I am not mistaken.
Also, no night life unless you are an alcoholic & spend all your time at bars or stay at home. I still liked it, nobody bothers you, you are all neighbors & I have never seen 1 of the 2-3 cops that patrol it.
I moved from CDA and I heard it’s touching Spokane right now, very sad. Leave the small towns small. That’s what makes them unique. Some Realtors are greedy ppl.

I would check on the vacation rental sites and see what similar properties are renting for in the area. Hit us up when you're coming up.

What about the bad part of the mines , people poisoned I read is that cleaned up or on going children died from it
It is a superfund site. A lot of cleanup has already been done so it is safe at this point, but definitely a consideration.

WHAT ABOUT PROPERTIES ON THE OUTSKIRTS OF WALLACE WITH A LITTLE ACREAGE
They are usually more reasonable priced but are often fairly steep.
I just looked. 18 properties listed there, looks to be 250 to 500K for a house that is larger than an apartment.

If 120K is the median and you showed a few houses double and triple that amount, there must be several from 100K down to 25K. Where are those?
