Definitely not my best commentary of the season and I’m sorry for it. The end of the season was a tough one for the team and I struggled to really follow the plays of this game in a way I’ve never struggled before. Can promise that next season’s commentary will be much improved and hope you guys are still looking forward to Play More!

I hate to break it to you guys, but prankster is not blocked when you’re doing stuff on your own side, so you can prankster screens, boosts, or anything else that affects your side. It’s only blocked if it affects the opponents side of the field.

You can also do stuff like prankster hazards vs dark types, it's only blocked if it affects the Pokémon directly (eg wisp, twave, etc)
they definitely knew that, as every competitive battler should. I believe they were more so just saying that grimmsnarl couldn't do anything like will-o-wisp to cripple krook, so after the reflect comes up krook just kills grimmsnarl.
I wish Ben would play more aggressively, I think the “safe” play turns into dangerous and game-losing when he doesn’t play offensively enough
I think this and focusing on one mom too much have been his biggest weaknesses.
It’s something I definitely plan on fixing. The only example that comes to mind this season for is just committing Hatt to Decidueye this game. The serp vs Jolt is incorrect staying in.
Draft’s about collecting information since anything is possible and sometimes I do get carried away.

True but as the commentators said, this is just so much pressure on one battle that both trainers feels like they need to play safe, but the endeavor prep from the opponent was really tough.

Ben still has a perfectly shaped head and amazing battle skills, John and Tyler are still amazing commentators, all the games were still entertaining to watch (whether win or lose), and we still love Bubby and all of you 🫶 Looking forward to next season!!! Thank you for the content!!!

Seems to be confusion everywhere but it was just an interesting game. The word “prediction” was being thrown around way too much, I played based off calc and information collected. Most of the time I did what was overall safe because Uzi has been unpredictable in my games against him previously.
My only misplay was not stepping on the gas with Hatt against Decidueye, but at the same time I would have never guessed a support set on a screens team. I died to offensive Poltergeist. I knew I could scare Okidogi out going hard Hatt because of a poison berry. The set up was free and I just had to commit, but I valued getting more info first since I could only win with Hatt.
Not my best season but it was a learning season. I’ll be back and better. I’m the goat and not going anywhere, just like the zero skill haters staying behind their keyboards.

Ben was playing this perfectly. The amount of plays that he made where our commentators just looked at Ben and blamed him was pretty unfortunate. And one more thing, Dark types don’t block Prankster Screens. Good season, look forward to the next.

6:05 Alright so this is more for the comment section than John and Tyler as I’m sure they are aware now, but when Ben EQs Dachsbun low, he switches out knowing that thing was not fully defensive. It has good defense. Without me calcing, I know that is not max def, so he therefore fears speed on it and it’s naturally faster than Krook. Being Tera cap, it made sense to scout Tera fairy play rough
yep exactly what I thought too, as soon as I saw Dachsbun take that much damage the first thing I did was check it's base speed and assume it's a weird speed variant of Dachsbun in some way. I assumed it was clicking play rough but endeavor was very rough.
The amount of flack given to Ben this battle was a lot lmao, I like the swap into froslass from sandslash to setup the sub disable, tho I could just be bad

I know nothing about competitive Pokémon and just enjoying watching these videos for Ben, John and Tyler but I do want to say - Tyler has learnt so much over the seasons and is turning into a top tier commentator with John! Proud of the whole team and a proud Play More supporter - can’t wait for the next season ❤
This sucks but I genuinely don't think any of the losses (maybe except this one) Ben could do anything about, an unlucky miss, a 30% quick draw on just the wrong turn, not bringing another move on Serp (which it only needs in 1 specific situation) and just getting beat my insane prep by Thomas, Losing to Joey (which is never a dishonour), I know Ben is a great battler and I look forward to seeing what he and the Playmore team get up to in the next draft league

Well, I can't say I'm not disappointed with the result, but I can say I agree with John that this really was not just one thing that lead to the end of this season for y'all. I think this season will go down as a big lesson learning season for the team and I do not doubt that come the next league we see Play More and the Beneral in, you'll come out guns blazing and tear a clean path to playoffs.
Ben will forever be my coach!

34:20 Altaria is there defensively. It needs to be able to switch into/roost off hits. Krook is just there offensively. Look at the mons left, and look at Krook. It simply needs to be alive. Being at high HP or not doesn’t matter as every mon could kill it from the range it was before Endeavor. You know Pokémon better than this John

At this point in the battle I was really trying to find the way Ben won the battle and I was struggling to see it. Looking back it’s easy to realize why Krooks HP didn’t matter, but in the moment I wasn’t able to run mental calcs to realize it wouldn’t live any hits anyways
@@PM7 it happens. You just gotta slow down a little bit and try to think more of the rationale of the play rather than see it as “we could take a kill here” every time. Taking the kill when presented isn’t always the best play and ik that you know that. If you and Tyler don’t already have the other team’s 6 in front of you while commentating, you should. Simply looking at who was left would be like “oh yeah Krook gets killed by every mon left’s STAB attacks, so HP doesn’t really matter.” I know we as viewers have the format on screen to reference as the battles goes on. Hope none of this sounds too negative. I love the style of draft videos you guys have created and will continue to enjoy it
I would disagree, HP on Krook absolutely matters because Decidueye could be running priority.

John, I think you should start battling in these leagues yourself again or just allow yourself to sit back and let Ben cook lol. You’re kinda just sighing and appearing disappointed at the lack of input you have on the battle rather than commentating what’s going on. But I understand how invested you are in this so I get it haha we love a passionate, well dressed king
He seemed more disappointed in the chance to Earthquake twice but chose to switch instead. But thats why we watch & Ben battles, he knew something we didn’t

I respect people defending Ben, saying he played really well this game and whatever, but it definitely feel like P4G has been dominated by people clicking attack buttons and not overthinking things. Pokeaimd literally just clicks damage moves nonstop and he's destroying this season, so I think there's a lot to be said about sometimes the right answer is the obvious one...

The only thing I didn’t necessarily understand was letting dachsbun getting the free endeavor on Krook. I feel like krook damage for no reason

Just 2 things that I have to take out of my chest as pet peeves of sort for me.
One is that Prankster doesn't work the way you two said, it doesn't matter type if is something being used on the battle field itself (like screens), it got a bit bitter when both John and Tyler mess this up and toss it to Ben :/
And the other thing is that I can't wrap my head on why Ben did not click Brave Bird with Altaria to stop that rampaging scarf endeavor dog instead of throwing Krookodile to it in a silver plate, Krook Knock off was the perfect counter to 2 of the remaining mons and EQ could deal with the other 2 and Krook outspeed all of them naturally. Sorry, but I really don't see how a half health BV Altaria was more important than almost full health Banded Krook :/
I am never trusting a Frostlass again in my life. But anyways great effort! Good luck next season! I will definitely be excited for it!

Hey Play More, I've been playing while watching your content, great runs all the way through, Ben is an amazing coach and I love the franchise, you've helped me learn so much. (Small shout out to MandJTV since also great pokemon content) I just wanted to add, my favourite Akira Toriyama (RIP) character is Frog from Chrono Trigger. He's not a pokemon but a great frog that I know PM7 would love, keep it up guys, I'm here for the next big W, Bubby Love~

my favorite Pokemon is Rowlet and seeing any form of decidueye kick us out of playoffs made me feel gross lol

ngl I think there was misplays here and there and some of the swaps I did not understand at all I do think this match could've been won but Slowing had to be stopped first letting it set up was really dangerous

51 minutes, this will be a very close game
I mean bens a great coach but we couldve won easily spoiler warning btw when it was krookodile vs daschbun we couldve won there another earthquake would have killed and moxie boosted daschbun would have been faster an endeavored however thats their honestly hardest mon out the way from there krookodile goes down however it couldve taken something with it or been death fodder grimmsnarl posed really no threat as long as we had defog sandslashs endeavor was annoying but it wouldve died with struggle and then okidougie wouldve been hard to handle but again able to be killed the only mons that posed a huge threat if we got the numbers advantage straight off the bat would have been slowpoke (regenerator, not much can deal a lot and nasty plot) however trailblaze couldve done something, sandslash (purely for endeavor) and decidueye (only tentacruel and froslass had super effective hits) i think constant switching has lead to our downfall this season but my faith is in the beneral for next season
That’s great hindsight! But I could tell it was offensive, if he Tera fairy play rough - which I argue was his play over endeavor - Krookodile just died. I made the correct play because I knew calcs and others did not :)
I'm just going to comment on the daschbund part as it seem most of the comments never really play single. Daschbund is defensive mon if you see banded krook do that much then it's red flag.
If Uzi click play rough instead of endeavor then we got dead krook.
I think the trouble with Orthworm in Draft is that most Draft Leagues ban the aspects of Orthworm that make it worthwhile. Hard to come back from that, as a pokemon.

Ben is done he is easily to blame on at least two loses he is trying to predict way to much instead of taking the damage while he can and it has come back to bite the team in the ass

i got most of what was going on, i was mostly a bit confused by Krook switching on Grimm, i know screens can go up in front of a dark type, but the Moxi boost would offset the reflect, and Altaria could always Defog on Dachsbun for free, but i guess there's some nuances of competitive singles that escape me at the moment, my knowledge is more geared towards VGC, so that would totally be possible.
Nonetheless the season was entertaining, but if i had to say one thing, i always thought Froslass was a garbage pokemon, and this season didn't make me change my mind whatsoever :D
The best thing for frosslash is sash suicide lead spike+destiny bond.

granted i dont play singles, but it felt like there were many times were you could've just clicked x move and got into a better situation instead of constantly tryna switch and make reads, that's why this team lost tbh, uzi was just thinking simple and clicking a move for most of the battle
Hate seeing Uzi win, rough season but you guys are by far the most entertaining draft content and that will only continue
