I recently finished my basement and ran a lot of wiring, I used this drill a ton going through floor joists and 2x4 studs. I bought 2 batteries and always kept one charged. This drill never failed and still works great today. I have also used it for drilling metal, I think that using good bits rather than junk ones is more important than the drill you’re using and it’s far easier than dragging extension cords all over the place. Maybe I got lucky and got a good one!

You're not going to get the life of a Milwaukee tool out of it. Unless Milwaukee has gone way down hill.
I have makita drills and batteries I used in an industrial setting since 2013 and i just now had to replace 1 of the 3 amp hour batteries the kit came with. I drive in #10 in 2 to 5 inch length screws into pine, poplar, maple mostly.

@@robertmceuen3630 it’s just my opinion. I bought several of the 20 volt tools 3 years ago. I’ve run the impact and drill hard with screws for replacing three metal barn roofs, 140 acres of pasture fencing and other farm maintenance. The warranty on batteries is 3 years and all still charge normally and last a long time - not a single issue with any of the tools. Chervon makes them and also the Flex and Ego lines of tools. They also prove to me that fanboys are ignorant.

If you buy a work light at harbor freight buy the Icon brand. I can personally attest to the quality of these lights as i use mine everyday, and sometimes all day long. Oils, antifreeze, trans fluid, break fluid, no matter what it is doest not phase these lights and they wipe off with a rag so easy with nearly no residue. I left mine up once and lowered a car on it while it was in upright position and all it did was pop it out from off the lift, shot it against the wall and not one thing happened to it. It was like it never happened. The battery last quite a while but that also depends on which light mode being used. Keep the charging port covered up and it doesn't fail to charge. Best little work light I've ever used. The only issue it has is the rubber cover on the magnet won't stay on very long but then most won't anyways without special adhesive. Icon brand is very well made... you won't regret owning one.

I've got a set of the yellow steel ramps like those from back in the early '90's. They have never even TRIED to flex, but every time I pull up anything on them, I stand and stare at them for a couple minutes and listen for pops lol. Then I grab my jack stands AND place a hydraulic floor jack somewhere as sort of a backup to the backup.
I was in HF tonight and saw a guy buy the 10 pack tape roll, and though I've never used it, I've always suspected... It's very rare to find GOOD cheap electrical tape lol.
I've got that backpack sprayer. If you're a bigger guy, it'll be a one-shoulder pack sprayer, and a heavy one when it's full. It sprays ok, but you will wear your arm out with the CONSTANT pumping just to maintain some sort of pressured flow. I would have taken it back, but I actually bought it way back when 25% coupons weren't rare unicorns, and I didn't even open the box for a year or so. I'm curious to know if you bought a better version from Harbor Freight, or if you went with something totally different.
I bought one of those little drills for my wife to use in the house and for when I wanted to quickly grab a tool and knock out a couple drilled holes, or use it to maybe assemble a piece of furniture. Convenience. The problem with it for me is the chuck clutch. It's not the conventional ratcheting type. It's some sort of friction-slip type assembly, that will slip without much pressure at all on the drill or the screw. You can find the sweet spot and finesse your way through lightweight jobs, but that takes the whole convenience aspect and lights it and burns it when you realize you're working pretty hard to maintain perfect pressure.
I enjoyed the video! Lots of good takes here, and I've subbed. Thanks.

Gosh, thank you for the comments. I also use to put jack stands under my steel ramps when I had them. Long gone now though. I hated that sprayer. Just went with a 2 gallon hand held unit from Lowes. I was frustrated at the time and didn't want another failure. Still have the one from Lowes. That electrical tape is bad. The drill is what it is. The trolley jack has its uses. I put it under one of my cars that I can't get my floor jacks under. I raise the car enough to put wooden blocks under the front wheels, remove the trolley jack, and use the floor jack to finish the job.
I also used it to help out a friend with an engine swap with the transmission attached to the engine. The trolley jack did a great job of keeping the tail end of the transmission off the ground while we moved the engine back and forth to align the motor mounts.

I have the Warrior drill bit set and it's great for my use. I only use it for wood and limited drilling in Trex. I made a bench block for my roll pin punches, center punches, bolt catch punches, a 1/4" x 2" clevis pin to assist in installing the take-down pin in ARs. The gripping handles of the punches were of several different diameters and buying a bit for each size would have cost me a young fortune and this set had all the sizes required, but the sizes from 7/16" on up require a 1/2" drill, as they will not fit in a 3/8" drill. Great for limited soft drilling use!

I bought that rotary tool many years ago and yes it is junk. Very underpowered and runs from a weak 12VDC wall wart. However I have managed to use it for very light duty things, mainly I'll put a broken in half cotton swab in it, put metal polish on the swab, and use it for micro polishing tasks.
The trolly jack, if the size suits the vehicle, can be a good alternative to the factory included scissor jack for roadside flat tire replacements. It's not very big, nor very heavy so doesn't take up much trunk space, but do include a piece of thick plywood for when the tire swap needs to happen on a soft shoulder, and do keep appendages out from under the vehicle.

I agree with your list except for the drill. I went through about 5 lb of 1 inch self tapping steel screws and rotated two harbor freight batteries and I got a lot of use out of it in fact I bought a second drill to have an extra battery and drill. After about 2 years of heavy use it finally caught fire and they replaced it for free and gave me an extra battery. I think it comes down to sometimes how you treat your tools. I've been able to get a lot of life out of the batteries because I don't leave them on the charger once they're charged, they come off the charger and they don't sit on it. I agree with you on the Doyle and Quinn, I haven't had any problems with them they're very good hand tools. I've heard stories about the Bauer drills catching fire and that's why I was thinking about upgrading Hercules because they've got some good coupons coming out for Christmas. I bought the 115 piece drill bit set off Harbor Freight on a lark for $29.95. I got it just to see how bad it really was. They're M2 black oxide bits. They'll drill mild steel. If you know what you're doing. A hand drill is usually 2,500-3,000 RPM full speed. Full out you can only drill a 3/16ths hole. A bigger bit you have to go slower. That's just reality. Cobalt bits you can be a little stupider but there's limits. If you want to be really effing stupid you'd better use solid tungsten carbide bits. But you're going to be snapping them all the time. Serves ya right.

After ordering, I read a review saying the color bleeds when wet, it was then I wished I had chosen the white cloths rather than the red ones, both were on sale for $6 or $7 and change for 50 towels. I use them for cleaning my firearms, oiling them, etc. After using them and getting oil on them I wash the cloths in the bathroom sink, and yes, they bleed the coloring, but being that water so easily makes the coloring run, I knew that the bleeding wouldn't permanently stain anything, so it's not really an issue for me. I've never really used a bottle jack for lifting a vehicle.... Always used them to support or lift sometimes even to force something heavy to where I wanted it. With all the other options does anyone use them for lifting a car/truck? Agree on the bits but yeah good for wood nice and cheap, their pliers are ok except for the slip pliers they don't hold for crap. The batteries I agree on but I buy them for remotes because why spend big money on something like a tv remote. Agree on the rags too I bought them before but found the scotts shop towels are way better. Some of the items on the list the same goes for anyone selling similar items those cheap screwdrivers, that mini rotary tool, and the cheap cheap drills they work but none are very good. Every hardware brand etc has their own version of some random name and they are all very poor quality and utility. Overall Harbor freight is an amazing store for tool options and value but there is definitely some stuff that is just not worth it even when free.

This is amazing that the drillbit set is the first thing you have on your list! I bought one of these drill sets a few years back. I am not a frequent user of drilling things, but I do have a nice Milwaukee powerhouse drill. I started a small engine business this past year. But anyway, the drill bits do not hold up that well in a break so freaking easy and the larger ones do not stay sharp at all.

I use my Milwaukee, Makita and Rigid power tools, Rigid gives you a full lifetime warranty which includes the batteries. With HF, sometimes, you get what you pay for and other times, you get quality tools for a cheaper price. Cheers :)

Now the backpack sprayers. I’ve lived on this same 9 acre spot my whole 28 years of life and we’ve had multiple and yes they are aweful as far as comfort but haven’t had a whole lot of issues as of the function. These days all too often the "buy once cry once" influencers would have you pay $170 for a Snap On mini tool box when all you need is the Black Friday US General two drawer for $9.95.
We would all be better off buying tools by features and specifications than tribal affiliations and bragging rights. Case in point, ask around at commercial truck shops, there is a significant move to ICON tools in the roll arounds. Snap On for double the price and then finding them for a warranty vs HF open 7 days a week is making an impact.
Sadly, some of HF"s cheapest tools are no longer available. I bought NOS 4" chain saw carving disc for an angle grinder for $8 and shipping online, HF is now over $20 and box stores were $40. It was a one time job to slot a beam for wiring to run to a suspended light. That's $12 I didn't spend went toward supper than night not rusting in a drawer for years.

Recommendations on shop towels. Not intended to be used like paper towels. Wipe grease off hands, tools, detail engine, wipe off bug remains using goop and wipe door jams. But if you just want to have it around to put up some shelves or fix a light fixture around the house, it does the job quite well. I have one. I've had it for 6 or 7 years now. When cutting metal, as with all other drill bits, use plenty of cutting oil and a much slower rpm than you use with wood. Picked up the drill bits on impulse checking out thinking it was good deal. Went back after thinking cheap might be expensive, seems like right choice after reading negative reviews and your review. Was returning my defective Pittsburgh comfort grip plier set anyway. A chunk of teeth missing on groove joint pliers, burrs on edges and kinda felt oily, also at least for feel in my hands the comfort grip was uncomfortable. Was thinking about going with Quinn but decided on going to Lowe’s to buy Kobalt set, only set in stock was returned item so will wait for it to come back in stock, quality was much better. I also went with Merlin pieces for my compressor was thinking about the CP kit but I decided to go with their upgraded brand as I do like the Merlin retractable air hose.

Only thing I disagree with is the shop towels. I like them. They’re junk, but priced that way. I don’t wash them, I don’t check oil with them. But they’re good for wiping hands, greasy tools, or wiping grease out of hubs and such. They can leave material behind, which is why I don’t use for clean fluids. But they’re great for getting the first layers of grime off things- including me. Then, I just throw them away.
However, I thank you for your insight on the sprayer. I was strongly considering it. I believe I’ll pass, as I agree with most everything else.
Their power tools are a pass for me. Their tiny floor jack works well for a spare in my daughter’s car (her’s was missing), but not for garage use.
I bought icon deep wells, hate them, poorly designed. The hex splines are only cut half way up the socket. And that’s proven to be a pain a few times in tight spots. I’ll go gear wrench next time. Like the combo wrenches I got my kid.

I say pick up one of the backpack sprayers on sale and give it a shot. Since you are using it for light duty it may be fine. Unfortunately I do have the creeper in your video... And in just about all the wheel's the bearing's are falling out and it's out of warranty, so I'm in the process of installing different wheel's in the SIX (I think) spots so I can use it as intended (as current the wheel's grab every crack and follows them, that's when the wheel's are able to rotate, or they take off in a direction other than where you are trying to get to)...

The COB light at 7:30 ish, I don't want a work light that depends on recharging via a fragile USB socket, instead I put LSD, rechargeable NiMH batteries in a Nebo Big Larry which is a similar design (probably what HF's is a poor copy of). I'd much rather do this because when the batteries run low, I can swap in a replacement set of cells that are already charged and continue working, instead of having to wait hours for a built in charging circuit to do its job. However in retrospect, I'd rather that it took 2 x 18650 cells instead of 3 x AA, but with the single body tube design placing the cells in series, then they'd need to be protected cells, and really it works fine with the 3 x AA LSD NiMH which I have plenty of.

No cutting tool or material of any kind at all. Drills, blades, anything whatsoever cutting or abrasive, with the sole exception of wire brushes and wheels. On the pro side, Pittsburgh branded screwdrivers are well worth the price. The disposable gloves, all varieties are a good deal. Wire fishing set can't beat it for 6x the price.
    Electric tape, I don't use any cheap stuff - 3M 700 is about $3 a roll

In general I would not recommend buying any of the lowest price tools at Harbor Freight. Get at least the next step up better tools. Their upper end stuff is good quality. They are not afraid to sell you junk but on the other hand they can and will sell you good quality stuff if you're willing to pay for it. I wish they would drop all their low end tools and realize they're not doing themselves or anyone any favors by selling something that won't hold up. I bought one of their bubble balancers for tires once thinking how can something so simple not work. It was awful. It was machined off center so the balancer was worthless. I could see with the naked eye the bubble insert was machined crooked and showed the manager that, He refunded my money so live and learn.

Bonus: do NOT buy the Pittsburgh 12 pt combination wrenches!! You WILL round bolts & nuts with them. Get the gear wrench set instead.

Made the mistake of getting a few of those. The pliers set, batteries, central pneumatic. Pitt t-handle allen/torx set. Garbage. You can add the sandpaper to the list.
Sneaky good though, some chicago electric stuff.the Banks nailers ive had good experience with to.

That drill is great for driving deck screws into a wooden fence to hold it up
I bought a extra battery, I have used it for a few years now....and the battery last a long time. I'm happy with it.

Dont forget the Pittsburgh ratcheting clamp/spreader. Those are complete junk. They strip out before they get tight.

Got 2 of those pocket LED lights, they both suck. I don’t know why I haven’t thrown them out yet.

The Icon plier line is definitely worth buying. They're good quality.
