HOLDDDD up, but I am living for this mic in the restaurant. I LOVE it. Also, KUDOS to James on the edits, I’m also loving it. Been MIA since I have lost my job, been racking my head trying to get my stuff together. So I apologize for my absence on the lives and in the comments, you guys always bring happiness to my days! Miss you both :) Have a THRIVING THURSDAY.
We love that - THRIVING THURSDAY. Most definitely - sending you positive vibes for you to get everything where you want it to be. No worries on missing out on any uploads, we'll be here when you need!
Hey James and Mark! Wow 7 courses of beef is no joke! Cool to hear James grew up eating these dishes on special occasions. We love Vietnamese food! Best of all the Asian cuisine hands down! All the sauces look really yummy to pair with the meat. That rice paper holder was so awesome. Beef and shrimp salad looked really tasty. Love the smell of grilling meat on the table! Wow you guys had quite the feast! Great video and love you guys to the moon! Have a great night! 💖🌛😊💖
@@ItsJamesandMark Pho Ga! Spring rolls and the fish sauce is the bomb. Also the banh mi is the best sand-o ever! The fresh herbs and veggies with the sauce is what makes it for us. There is a dope Viet restaurant in Vegas in China town don't know the name but go every time in Vegas!
I think this was my favorite video! I learned so much about Vietnamese Culture! And you guys were adorable as usual. My favorite lines this time. James- "Mark, these bowls are cute. You're going to want these later." Mark- "Very strong. Intense. INTENSE!!!" lolol And James with ice AND straw in his beer lolol...
I loved this video, I have been to this specific restaurant and felt like a moron not knowing the proper way to eat some of the dishes and now, I will go back and act like a pro. I love these kind of videos of cultural experiences. Thanks guys!
I love love love both for sharing this viet 7 beef course set. I’ve always wanted to try this but did not know how to order so I was intimidated to order. It’ll be on my to try list.
Yum! I have been waiting for this video since you mentioned it!!! I'll pay the next time, you should show marcus and I this place when we come to shower you and Mark with love!!! ❤💙🧡
Just subscribed. I think you both are adorable. I'm Vietnamese and my mother and brother live in Westminster. My family used to have the shabu shabu-like vinegar boiled slices of beef as the main course at home every Saturday. We would use an old rice cooker as the vessel for the boiled water and I would definitely add fish sauce to the water afterwards and drink it like a broth. I just didn't like the anchovy sauce with lemongrass (too strong for me) and stuck to just nuoc cham with lots of fresh chilis. Just to answer some questions: the beef that is in rolls is usually rolled in betel leaf (although I don't know any Asian grocery in the U.S. who sells it); the dome shape of the grill harkens back to the Mongols. Mongolian bbq originates from when the soldiers would use their metal helmets as grills to cook their meat on long expeditions. The way you guys enjoy your food really makes me happy. You remind me of Shinichi and Satoshi from TabiEats in Japan.
@@ItsJamesandMark Betel leaf has a lot of health benefits and I think it's used more for its medicinal value (for arthritis, joint pain, infection, etc). The only other time I've seen it consumed/chewed is with a betel nut, kinda like chewing tobacco and it gives you a slight buzz. You chew it then spit it out. I think this practice is still prevalent in some Asian countries like Cambodia, Taiwan, Thailand, Laos, etc. especially in the villages.
Oohh noted, I was actually going to add the coloring back in but maybe we'll see how it is... Mark says there's a patch on the back that is gray already lol
You may notice a small audio flub in this video but we worked it out for our future uploads. Hope you don't mind and enjoy the video!
*No worries, small matter. Show must go on. Abam Gabz's enjoying the show right now.*

Omg, love that tidbit about the soldiers and the helmets! Thanks for sharing that and how you also enjoy eating this dish! Welcome to our channel!
I haven't had 7 courses of beef in over 10 yrs and miss it, seeing this vdo. The beef wrapped in leaf (bo la lot) is betel leaf, one of my faves.
Yeahh do you know anywhere else betel leaf is used??

I've never tried beer with ice but it looks so refreshing! The meatball dish looks amazing. Like a Vietnamese charcuterie?
I need to text you what Vietnamese charcuterie looks like, it's unreal!
Just randomly watch your video and recognize anh là người Việt 🤗🤗
Hi yes, I'm (James) is Vietnamese. Welcome to our channel!
They completely remodeled. It looks really nice inside!
Yeah, we never been inside to this one but saw the pics on Yelp and thought it looked nicer than the spot we usually go to.
This looks like a dream meal for me.
It definitely is a journey!
Hola Muchachos I’ve never had Vietnamese food 🍱 but it looks delicious 😋
Yes, hope you can try it one day!
Delicious!!!
Indeed it was!
I remember going to a place like this as a kid
Yeah definitely ate it more as a kid than a grown up but nostalgia hit in. Excited to see you get back into the restaurants soon!
One of my fav Viet dishes/experiences
Omg eating it with banh hoi sounds amazing!!
