- Bellini loves showing his kitty siblings the outdoors and how to properly explore. Bellini wasn’t sure about the new cats at first since Mary's last cat didn’t like her very much. but when Scotch and Grappa came home, he could not contain his excitement. She took to them instantly and they did as well to her. They cuddle, they play and they love running outside together. They have become three best friends and everyday is a joy with them together.

My friend has a 12 year old English Staffordshire Terrier so a shorter version of Bellini and about 4yrs ago she adopted a former street cat from another friend who was moving out of the street and the Cat is now 12 too, the Cat and dog were great friend’s from the moment they met, and I am on my 5th rescue Dog, my last one was too intensely interested in her as he was 11 & 4 months when I got him a big Bull Arab Terrier he was bigger than my previous German Shepherd, but as we would house and pet sit for her, I trained him to accept her and be able to be off lead with her and in the end she would head butt him as well as her Staffy brother, I now have a medium sized dog and he had never met a cat before as he was from the desert, he was fine from the first meeting, and like my fella before him they 3 of them sleep on the bed with me when we house and pet sit on school holidays. Even older reactive dogs like my previous one can be trained with positive reinforcement (Mince meat) and I would encourage the cat who was chilled out with dogs, but she was scared of him, but I would tether him to the couch leg and then sit on ottoman between them and lay a path of mince meat to me and then feed them both pieces while they were close together and I had already taught him the “leave it “ command because I get deadly snakes and I wanted him to be safe,then on our 3rd weekend of looking after them, I would leave him untethered but with the lead still on and I would watch him the whole time and before his prey drive kicked in I would stop him with the leave it command, by our 5th weekend of pet sitting he was 100% safe with her, but you have to completely supervise and not do anything else, I would tether him to the couch again if I was making dinner etc before he was 100% safe.

I know. A minority of Pitbulls being responsible for most of the fatal dog attacks doesn't justify the banning of these dogs. A relative has a sweet one (but I'm still a lil scared of her). Hell, human males are hella violent and no one's banning them.
@@CuriousBeanI think the issue is that it isn't just pitbulls it's a bunch of breeds that look similar and bad or incompetent owners making them act out most don't understand that owners who don't train their dogs usually get a dog that bites anyone
@@cdeer17 I thought it was Pitbulls and dogs mixed with 'em. And yes, bad owners are ultimately to blame for those injuries and deaths. Bully breeds aren't things you buy to look tough.
Back in the day pit bulls use to be called the “nanny dog” because a new Mom could put her baby down at the dogs feet and go make dinner. They have hearts of gold. It’s the people who encourage violence that leads to an aggressive dog.
Eh the nanny dog thing isn't true that was kinda an attempt to make them sound better without proof but reality is it's not as bad as the people making them sound worse without proof being believed reality is no dog should be left alone with a baby just a bad idea all around
@@cdeer17 perhaps you should research it before you claim its false. It’s not. In india people do the same with the elephants (that are apart of their family). They have videos of this because it’s still done today. I’m also pretty sure that man’s best friend can be trusted around human babies or no one would be allowed to have a dog with a newborn. Perhaps try educating yourself before you make statements that make you sound ignorant.

Oh, I remember seeing this beautiful dog on the Dodo channel. It was heartbreaking as Bellini lost two cats that were very close to her, but then she brightened up after being introduced to new kitties.

Certain Pitbull owners have alot to answer for. Remember it's not the dog's fault it attacks or fight, it's the owner. I see so many heartwarming stories of loving and gentle pitbulls and that's exactly how I see them.
But I can tell you that they are the most loyal and sweet dogs in the world. But most times the newscasters are all about it when a Pittie bites someone. I could tell you some great stories about them!

Pitbull breeds are great and gentle dogs. When any dog is labeled as a bad dogs, it's not the animal it's the owner.

All dogs can be great but once their instincts kick in coupled with what they where bred to be then things get bad. This can be triggered even when you least expect it even if your already owner. It's not always the *bad owner,* it's the origins of the breed.

Pities arensmart and super sweet. They make such good family dogs. I understand some awful people mistreated traumatizing and screwing up their dogs are out there resulting in some scaru moments between those dogs and humans. Making them think awful things and being afraid of that breed. But theure the most loving frikkin dogs. They are good at helping with babies. Well kids in general. They are such good nanny dogs

They are all smart wonderful sweet amazing adorable cute darling pretty lovely beautiful gorgeous animals.
I have one just like her. Her name I'd Rosie, she's never been in a fight and I don't let her chase cats, she is 5 years old. She's taken with me just about anywhere I go as she lives for a ride in my truck, only if a destinations has shading during summer can she go. She has been raised around Ferrell as well as house cats and she loves them and they likewise. When she goes out to lay in the sun she will have 2 or 3 Ferrell laying around her. She is very attentive to baby kittens and will come to the rescue if she senses danger.
I've told people all my life, IT IS NOT THIER NATURE to attack everything in sight like people think. The imbeciles raising them just let or coax them with this behavior. Makes me mad and I'm 74 years old and have had several American Pit bulls that were raised right! I hate that people have done this to the breed.

I agree pit are more mild than Chihuahuas is not the fur baby is the human, who teach the bad in them and even when this poor fur babies the evil human miss treat them and the find a good human they trust again, they are family not animals that how look at them they love you unconditionally no matter what, treat them with love and care.

When they're raised and socialized the right way, pitbulls are so sweet and gentle no decent person would dream of harming a hair on them.
Well the same can be said for other dogs as well but definitely should add most have to be atleastly trained a little to understand what you want and don't want them to do biting is a big one

Thank You! We're living with our 2nd 'mix breed' baby (pibbul and chocolate lab). We can no longer spell 'outside' to each other. When she comes to you and lets you know 'it's time' you get 1. A slick in the face and a brief game of Look at You then Look at The Door. 2. Somehow, 2 square feet of dog then proceeds to take up 8 square feet of space around you, so if you should decide to get up for a drink or restroom or whatever, you first must step over the dog. Who knows EXACTLY when to move... to make you fall and break your nose. Sorry, where was I??

My 130 lb potty, my 10 lb Shih Tzu and my old black kitty all sleep together. They put their paws on each other while they sleep. If a stray cat comes in the yard my pitty protects my cat from them. I call them my three musketeers. They really love each other.
My family had a pit bull years ago when I was young. She was a stray that we took in. We had many dogs over the years and she was one of the best. She was great around kids and loved to play. They don't deserve the bad wrap these kind of dogs get. If they're vicious, it's the owner's fault sadly.
My pitbull barbie is exactly the same with my cats she's so sweet and gentle my other two dogs stay away from the cats at all costs but my "vicious" pitbull is am angel
