I’m new to your channel..........just subscribed. I’ve been driving Porsches as my daily drivers for 40+ years. Currently, my daily is a 991.2, manual transmission, Miami Blue, Sports Exhaust, Carrera Sport wheels. For me, there’s no other car that gives me the combination of performance, wonderful quality, comfortable, etc. Glad I found your YT channel.
Sounds like such a great spec car! Love Miami blue - it’s a real chameleon colour depending on what light you see it in. Good on you for having a manual daily too! Thanks so much for subscribing 🙏🏻
Well I just added a 991 to my "want" list. Still not sure I could buy a PDK over a manual but it certainly is nice! You need to do a review on that awesome coffee maker next!
Never thought I’d want a PDK either but honestly it’s so so good! Coffee machine is a Gaggia Titanium. Owned it for 15 years and it’s done about a million shots!
Congratulations man! You're living the dream!! I would love to get something like this to keep my 964 company too! 🙂 Keep enjoying your new toy! I can't wait to see some more videos of it!
@@lastrasp You're most welcome! Good for you! You only live once and you gotta live your dreams and not feel guilty about it. I know what you mean about feeling self conscious. To put it mildly lol, I don't live in a very affluent part of Sydney and even in my humble 964, when I first got it I used to feel a bit like that and in some ways still do but with older cars it's not so awkward I guess! Just enjoy it man! You deserve it and you shouldn't be thinking about what other people think even though it's easier said than done! 🙂
my 2020 992 which I ordered just before the pandemic has 23000 miles already, it's a daily driver... no doubt about it.. why would anyone spend that much on a car and not drive it??
Great comment! So good to hear you’re enjoying the car and using it as intended. A 911 does an incredible job of straddling the line between daily driver commuter car and weekend fun supercar.
@@lastrasp funny you should respond to my comment today, as I went and got myself another boxer powered car as a 2nd car as I don't want to rack up TOO many miles on the 992... I got a Suburu Outback.. frankly, it's a good compliment to a 992 as I can take it places I'd never take the 992.
Been working for 20 years now and I still can't afford a car. Hard to be regular working guy in a 3rd world country. I can only dream about driving Porsche. I'd settle for a second hand Corolla maybe after 10 years. Sorry about my english. It's my 3rd language.
Wondering what is a must have options in your mind? I just got a 991.1 base recently with sport chrono, 19’ wheel. Thinking to retrofit sport exhaust. Do you have PASM is needed for a daily drive? Coming from Benz CLA180 I felt the drive was a bit too firm
PASM can work fine in a daily for sure. It really depends what you’re going to use it for. For me it was sports exhaust, PASM and the Sport Design steering wheel.
Agree about the spec thing. An enthusiast would never spec that awful Multi Function Steering wheel lol. Also, I found Australia the hardest place in the world to daily a sports car, as they are OBSESSED with speeding fines there, going way beyond safety into pure revenue raising (and this is after having lived in Asia, the UK, USA and driving in Europe etc)
Can't argue with either point Jordan! To your second point, yep Australia is definitely incredibly strict when it comes to the policing of speed limits. Very easy to cop a large fine and extremely easy to lose your license.
Macan steering wheels are a great upgrade They look more modern and really bring up the interior Much smaller airbag too, makes the sport design seem huge
Pretty similar spec although that was the base Carrera with the 3.4 litre engine. There's a definite difference in straight line performance between the two engines but I have to say I quite liked power delivery on the 3.4. When power comes on in the 3.8 it's full on!
Congrats on the car. Coming from a manual 964 how do you like the PDK ? My daily is an automatic and while I love the convenience. I always look forward to driving my 964.
I actually love it. Changed the steering wheel so now I have the paddle shifters. The PDK is lighting fast and paddles make it really engaging. And it's also a very different experience from the 964 which I love. Tell me about your 964...
Last Rasp it’s you’re standard 964 c4, guards red, RUF wheels, and a ducktail. I about 204k miles on it now. I rebuilt the engine at 197k when I bought it as advised by my shop Modern Aircooled. The owner also happens to be from Melbourne.
Last Rasp I added a lightweight flywheel, clutch, and Steve Wong chip. I originally wanted to change to a 3.8 but my mechanic wasn’t worth it and budget had other ideas haha. Gave you a follow on IG as well. Mine is @964luftballoon feel free to reach out there or Facebook messenger anytime!
I have the same model in need for speed game lol 🤣 but so expensive to spec it up in the game 🤨🙄 In real life i hate that porsche has those dummie blank buttons.. my ocd could never
Congrats andy! You’re making me rethink my daily driver situation
Not sure what your daily is but your situation looks pretty good to me!

Nice new wheels Andy! Congrats mate. Last of the N/A's. 400hp sledgehammer!
Love the word sledgehammer. certainly feels like it next to the 964!

Yeah thanks man! big change from the 964 for sure. Have to get used to the car - I actually feel quite self conscious in it at the moment!

Hey Johnathan. Thanks so much for the comment mate. Keep grinding mate. You can speak three languages so you’re doing much better than me! 👌🏼
Did you change out the steering wheel to paddle shifters? Comments? Video? Gorgeous 911 you have there!
Sure did. Much nicer with the Sport Design wheel. (Check out my review vid if the car).
@@lastrasp Will do -- thanks. I plan to look into how to change out the steering wheel.
If you own a house and two Porsches you're fairly loaded
That's over 300k just in the cars
I certainly feel extremely fortunate to have had a moment where I owned two Porsches.
@@lastrasp Oh no did you sell them mate?
Wouldn't blame you considering the interest rate....
Love it mate - congrats!
Thanks so much Rob. Appreciate the share too!
You sneaky devil you! Looks sweet mate, nice work.
Wasn't easy keeping it under wraps for the last few weeks!
@@lastrasp I can tell by the sound of voice on the phone you were struggling to contain something.

Two years later don’t you wish lockdown was still going? No other time will roads ever be so empty!
We weren't allowed to drive any further than 5 kilometres from our house so lockdown here was rubbish!

Yep, when the roads open up. Going to be great to be able to see everyone again!
is that what you had in LA during Luft week ?

Rear axle steering?
Not in this model to my knowledge
Well done!
Thank you, thank you! Can't wait to head to mountains with it!
looks great
Thanks for checking it out Mark!
Nice 👍
