I just wanted to say a big fat THANK YOU!! I have been very blessed with great skin up until the last few years and with that I have to admit that I never did anything skin care wise to help my skin I just simply used a face cleaner every night and that's it. So with that I have been struggling on what in the world I have to do without breaking the bank and just simply keeping this simple and easy to understand with being so new to this world of skin care, and your video's have defiantly done that for me! I really appreciate you for taking your knowledge and sharing it for free to help people like me. So once again thank you for being such a wonderful person!
After coming across your video, I followed your recommendations for AM & PM skin care, and picked out items that you recommended and have been using them for about 3 weeks and my face looks so much better! Much nicer, brighter and smooth! & I have this one wrinkle on my forehead that is much less noticeable! Love it! Thank you! Love your videos!!!! & I also love that everything you recommended is AFFORDABLE! ♥️

I had never been able to start a skin care routine for my face. I followed your advice and product recommendations based off of my skin needs. It's been about 4 months since I've started and the difference is just incredible. My skin is so clear and happy now, I barely wear any makeup! Thank you so much for your wisdom, it has been a godsend for me. :)
I really appreciate your videos! It's wonderful to learn from someone who is clear, honest, and actually understands the skincare industry! Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
I realize this video is a year and a half old, but I had to come back to comment and thank you for it. I am 53 and was only doing bare-bones skincare (generic gentle cleanser and the same oil of olay with sunscreen I've used for 25 years). I started using the CeraVe daily hydrating cleanser, CeraVe daily moisture, and the L'oreal Revitalize pads and after 3 weeks the difference in my skin is remarkable. It's softer, smoother, brighter and it just looks healthier. I don't wear makeup so it's really noticeable. And I LOVE the Australian Gold sunscreen, it smells so good! My next purchase will be the Neutrogena rapid wrinkle repair cream. THANK YOU for your channel and showing how one can have healthy, beautiful skin without paying dept. store prices or breaking the bank!

Thank gosh for this video! I have looked for something like this and trying to understand 20 yr old influencers and I am 40 really trying to get my wrinkles and keep my skin good and my skin care on a budget
I'm so glad I finally found an actual dermatologist talking about skincare, and not trying to push "iconic" products down the throat. Moreover, a 10 step skincare routine is simply unfeasible for any working woman. The only thing I can't relate in this vid is that La Roche Posay is not inexpensive here in Brazil, that's why I usually buy just one product or another from this brand.
I have had really good success using Avene Physiolift for wrinkles, puffiness and dark circles. The puffy under eyes issues seems to be in my family. This product has been a go to for me. Hope that helps.
Hi Doc, I'm 70 and live in Australia. Years of being in the sun have done the damage to the extent that I have had skin cancers removed from my arms and face. My issue of course now is very dry skin especially on my legs. I have never worn make-up so the need to remove is not a concern. I'm super careful now being in the sun. I have droopy crepey skin. I'm on an aged pension so it's imperative that cost is my first concern. All I use to wash my face and body is "Goat soap" It's supposed to be pure. I know it doesn't have sulphates or parabens. I use E45 cream, ingredients are white soft paraffin, light liquid paraffin and wool fat. Because I live in Perth Western Australia I'm reluctant to use moisturizers every day as they make me hotter. Unfortunately also we pay a great deal more for products in Australia. Can you enlighten me if I'm doing the wrong thing using the above products and the best collagen product to help build some strength in my skin. Thanks Rosemary
Make sure you are following up closely with a dermatologist given your history of skin cancer! Your dermatologist should be able to give you specific advice for your unique skin condition and skin type to set you up with a personalized and effective routine. In general, one of my favorite and most effective products to build collagen in the skin is a retinoid. This comes in a prescription and over the counter forms. Ask your dermatologist which is right for you! I mentioned some of the drugstore retinoids I love in this video and linked them in the comments. Check them out! Good luck!
I really like the way you express yourself, and how organized your videos are! I subscribed and looking forward for more of your videos. Thank you for taking your time to do this because I can't afford a dermatologist or expensive products.
I'm having a hard time finding a sunscreen that looks good under makeup. This is, by far, the best channel for skin care that I've encountered. I really appreciate the great advice and information.
Wow, just stumbled on your channel. What great information! Looking forward to more content. Hopefully something on allergy prone sensitive skin. Several years of trying to figure out what to do with a great skincare regimen for allergy prone, sensitive, dry, and mature skin.
literally my new favorite channel. Subscribed! I was standing in a CVS the other day, in front hundreds of skincare products, overwhelmed and not even sure where to start. I picked something based on the cool packaging, (how I choose my wine too 😆), which is clearly not a good way of approaching skincare. Your channel changes everything!
I'm not sure if you will ever read this but I wanted to thank you. I've recently started to break out around my chin from wearing a mask all the time but the blemishes and red marks have cleared up just from using the Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair for 2 days!!! What an awesome product!!
I'm so happy I found your channel...I'm excited to try these simple routines with products that fit in my budget. It's easy to overcomplicate our skincare once we hit a certain age; I feel like I'm spending a fortune and throwing everything I can on my skin to improve it.
I just found your channel. Thank you for the straight forward advice. I will turn 70 soon, have beautiful skin. Always used high end products, can no longer afford. Have been thinking about trying Cerave, but concerned that they, along with Neutrogena are not cruelty free. Using Mad Hippie now but not liking them too much. Would prefer recommendations for cruelty free products.
I have many sun-damage spots on my face. I started using anti aging dermalmd serum a couple months ago and I'm noticing big improvements, the spots are fading and are much less noticeable. I've had no irritation only improvement. I use a moisturizer over this serum, after it is soaked in. I'm very happy with this serum and will be continuing to use it everyday.

That is my goal! I am so glad it is helpful to you. Thanks for watching!
Thank you for this! Every dermatologist I have been to in the last 20 years has tried to push their own private label products on me when I ask them for inexpensive skincare recommendations. I gave up and followed Dr. Dray’s advice and just used Cerave.
That's awesome. You CAN get healthy and glowing skin with affordable products! Good luck!
Are some skin damage reversalble
Wonderful Information! My "aging" skin is happy to have found YOU!
I’m almost 21 and wanted to start the anti aging as well as help some deep wrinkles and I struggle with acne but watching you and being able to understand how I can incorporate both is amazing 💕💕 thank you so much!!!
Finally...someone who knows what they are talking about and not pimping products! Ha I am a licensed Esthetican and worked for a Dermatologist. This Dr is straight forward and very pleasant to listen to and watch. I am brand new here. Thank you for these great recommendations. La Roche-Posay used to be sold at NEIMAN MARCUS. I know this because I have sold it in the years past. It's very reasonably priced now and are luxury products at an affordable price...plus they work! Thank you!
How very timely to have stumbled upon your channel. I'm in my 60's and my skin is changing drastically. I now have dry, flaky areas between the brows and at the corners of my mouth. My present routine is not working and it's high end. I'm off tomorrow to the drug store to try some of your recommendations. Thank you!!
CeraVe needs to sponsor you, lol. Thank you for the highly informative video!
You are some welcome. Glad it was helpful! I do love Cerave products but I also love being able to talk freely about any product I wish!
My dermatologist definitely recommends Cerva!
@@Drsirkin Mine recomended Cerave
So happy I stumbled upon this channel! You're a godsend, doc! 🥺
So nice of you!! Thanks for watching!
The way you make us understand the science and logic behind every care product is so clear no other dermatologist does like you❤
I just wanted to say a big fat THANK YOU!!
That's so wonderful. I'm so happy for you. You can absolutely get amazing improvement in the skin with affordable products!
I just want to say I really appreciate that intro & the reassurance that your recommendations aren’t sponsored. Truly. It’s hard to watch that other YT dermatologist lady that is constantly pushing sponsored videos & IG posts.
You’re way more entertaining, easier to watch & 10 million time’s more charismatic than her too. Great video! Just subscribed 💚
Wow, this was amazing. Thank you! I'm 40 (eek) and only really use a face wash and a moisturizer at night. I've been looking for an affordable routine and one that was simple to follow. I just ordered from your list and all products kept me under 100! I am excited to start!
You are so welcome! Good luck, im excited for you!
Hi ! Do we have to layer all these am products ? Please and thank you
I really appreciate your videos! It's wonderful to learn from someone who is clear, honest, and actually understands the skincare industry! Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
Please will you review ‘The Ordinary’ as a brand.
Loved this video xx
Yes please
Yes please!
Yes this would be a great vid!
The ordinary Niacinamide is the best stuff ever.
Yes plz .. want review on “the ordinary”
Thank you for demystifying the skin care routine, there are so many options it’s hard to figure out what to buy.
It is absolutely so hard to sort through all the options. It's even overwhelming for experts like myself. I spend a TON of time going through products so I can make the best recommendations and simplify it for my patients and followers. I want to make it easy so you can start getting results quickly. Thanks for watching!
Thank you for doing this sponsor free. It's so much more believable and real!!!
I immediately fell in love with you, the way you explain it is very clear to the point, your articulation is very good, and I really like your enthusiasm in explaining. keep inspiring beautiful doctors!❤️
Love that Vanicream cleanser! Like feel affection for that product. Basic, gentle and EFFECTIVE!
There are so many Vanicream products I REALLY like. Thanks for sharing your experience!
OMG, so blessed to have your channel randomly pop up after just coming back from a plastic surgeon consultation appointment 🤦🏼♀️🙏🏼❤️❤️❤️❤️
I’m in my 60’s, let’s see what you’ve got. I love to learn anything about skin care by Dr’s
Thanks for following along! Stay tuned. More to come! :)
Me too!
I had been looking for recommendations for a daily routine but all the ones I found were very complicated, very expensive, or with too many products at once, so I'm really happy I finally found this one, very easy to understand and with the specific type of products I have to use morning and night. I'm gonna put this into practice right away, thank you!! :D
I’m so great full .. this video so helpful….because of your video I purchased CeraVe products for the day and night skin routine… and with just one use I’m so amazed . . I have such sensitive skin so I’m always hesitant on new products but your the expert and I just noticed how soft, smooth and youthful my skin looks plump .
Just thank you!
Love to hear this!! Thanks for sharing!
I have used the Eucerin daily protection spf 30 off and on for several years. It’s cheap, fragrance free, gentle and I believe it’s a mineral sunscreen
This is so exciting! I love that you keep it simple and budget friendly. Thank you! I'm making a list for the drugstore today. 😊
Finally somewhere for me to start! I’ve always loved makeup but I’m almost 28 so trying to stay ahead of my skin and started looking into better skincare instead of just trying to wing it. This was wonderful!
U got me glued to ur videos today. I really love ur videos cause they are more educative and helpful. Please what type of retinol is safe for sensitive skin. Thanks
The older I get the more complicated my skin care routine has felt. You break it down and explain the why behind the what and that is SO helpful. 🎉
Wow!! I wish I had found you about $500 ago lol. I just assumed the more you paid for a product the better they are. Thank you thank you thank you!!!
Awesome comment! I am here to teach people how to transform their skin with products that are affordable, well studied, and actually work! We dont have to break the bank to get great skin! Thanks for watching :)
Finally a routine I can follow!! At 43 I really can tell the difference in my skin. So I will be trying this routine starting today!! Can't wait to follow up with results next month!! Thank you Dr. for your advise!
How’s it going with the routine?
Thank you! The 4 pillar explanation makes sense in layman's terms and uses budget friendly products. A derm doc for the rest of us!!!
I am using my boyfriends account, it I wanted to say Thank you so much for your videos, you do an awesome job, and I appreciate how organized, professional, and knowledgeable you are!
Omg Dr. Locke you rock!! Such an awesome video! Thank you for all the info you just made the drugstore trip so much less confusing
Yay thats my goal! Thanks for watching :)
The best derma channel on UA-cam. I hope you have more followers !
You had the best simplified skin care ever. Thank you for making this simple for us! I am not confused anymore ☺
Thank you!! I am cheap with my skincare and I have very sensitive skin so a lot of these brands are already my go tos but I've felt so overwhelmed by all the options.
Im so glad my routine has been correct. Morning: cleanser, moisturise/ suncream. Afternoon: reapply suncream.
Night: cleanser, retinol( la roch posay redermic). For spots: salysilic acid and to brighten skin: vitamin c serum.
I honestly think this is the best introduction video if you are just starting. Thank you very much 😊 Please post more
You are so great! Been binge-watching your videos. I’ve watched Dr. Dray for years and while I still love her a lot, you’re a little less rigid in what you think works. It opens up more options and that’s really helpful.
You are an excellent teacher, Dr. Locke! You explain things so well.
This video was everything I was looking for. A scientific tutorial complete with drugstore recommendations. Thank you so much!
Thank you for sharing this cool stuff! It helped a lot for buying products for my mother who has never used any till now.
Thank you!! The information you provided is especially helpful as I pass 55 and the anti-aging products become more intimidating. Needed information unsponsored and science based. I am using two of the products you recommended! Yay me!
Fantastic video! I love how straight to the point you are and how you’re making skincare approachable and affordable.
Would love to see you cover top quantity FRAGRANCE FREE skincare products that you would recommend.
THIS is the video I’ve been searching for!!!!
Just turned 28 and noticing my first signs of aging and feel like I need to make up for lost time
I am watching your video for the second time. I like your channel. I am 63 and am tired of spending so much money at the makeup counter. I hope this video applies to us older women who feel young! I’ve purchased one cleanser and one moisturizer thus far. Thanks.
I just tried the CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser and the CeraVe Moisturizing Cream and my skin is burning. Ugh. Any idea why?
Love that you’re not sponsored!
Can you make a video on what makeup products you recommend?
Please
Stumbled upon this channel for the first time and I can’t thank you enough for the first part of this video. There’s a million products out there that are marketed as absolutely urgently necessary for our skin so to see it explained so simply and clearly but in enough detail is truly amazing. Thank you so much ❤️ Subbed!
Hi, thank you for this information. I have rosacea and I wish you would talk about that and what treatments I can use and if the retinol and vitamin c is good for me or going to irritate my skin so,what else can I use? I like your channel!!
Thank gosh for this video! I have looked for something like this and trying to understand 20 yr old influencers and I am 40 really trying to get my wrinkles and keep my skin good and my skin care on a budget
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you so much!!! I always feel so overwhelmed and lost with all the options.
From the bottom of my heart THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!
This video is so helpful! I’m always so overwhelmed. Any recommendations for an eye cream?
I have had really good success using Avene Physiolift for wrinkles, puffiness and dark circles. The puffy under eyes issues seems to be in my family. This product has been a go to for me. Hope that helps.
eye creams are not needed not necessary
Great information!
The Vanicream cleanser is my holy grail.
Yes!! I love Vanicream brand so much. I recommend many of their products daily for my sensitive skin patients.
Thanks so much! This is exactly my mission here - simplify skincare and give people easy steps to follow that give real results!
I would love if you make a morning routine skin care products list and an evening list. Just found your channel.
I'm not sure if you will ever read this but I wanted to thank you. I've recently started to break out around my chin from wearing a mask all the time but the blemishes and red marks have cleared up just from using the Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair for 2 days!!! What an awesome product!!
So excited to have found you - thank you for educating us!
You are welcome. I love to use this platform to be able to educate so many more people beyond my exam room. Thanks for following along!
I am Cuban based in Panama and I have just subscribed to your channel although I have already seen several of your videos and I love them. Thank you for sharing your advice with all of us. I love that it offers us this range of accessible products for all budgets because many other professionals only comment on very high-end products. Successful and very pleased with your advice.
