Great reaction, thanks! Song of the summer. Absolutely! Already autumn but we had 32ºC here today so it still applies, hehe... Very cool and funny video. And the live performance is total madness. I already experienced it live (unfortunately without EC) and the crowd went nuts. 🤘🦊
Thanks dude and glad you enjoyed it 😊 I definitely want to check out the live version. I can only imagine what it must have been like in the flesh. Proper jealous 😉
No, you're not prepared. LOL. Kevin is not the only one doing harsh vocals, some of those near the end are done by Momometal. A 50/50 collab, apparently Babymetal really liked "We Got the Moves" and were interested in making a song in a similar vein, they thought 'why not ask Electric Callboy about a collaboration. Video was produced by the Schillo Brothers, EC's video team. They have played it live several times at festivals, some with Kevin and Nico joining Babymetal and Kami band, some with the ladies joining the full EC band.
Great reaction. This is such a good collaboration, but of course it is - Electric Callboy are great fun and BABYMETAL are so versatile that they can collaborate with pretty much anybody and they will fit in with their style and they make it look and sound almost effortless ... it takes a lot of hard work, talent and professionalism to make it look so easy. BABYMETAL were wanting to make a song people could dance along with like Electric Callboy's 'We Got The Moves' but they felt something was missing. They decided to ask EC if they would like to be involved so they went to see EC playing in Boston (they were both there at the same time last year) and met up backstage with them before the show. 'RATATATA' was the result. After a lot of back and forth and over 20 rewrites and variations etc they finally agreed on this final version. It is very much in the EC style, but make no mistake - it is a real 50-50 collaboration. They were having even more fun performing it live together at festivals they were both playing - twice at FOX_FEST in Japan during BABYMETAL's sets, then in both bands' sets at Rock im Park and Rock am Ring in Germany and at Resurrection Fest in Spain.
I'm still quite new to Babymetal but it definitely feels like a 50/50 collaboration, as you said. I think it's perfect. I wouldn't change a thing about it.
Ratatata is more fun than any song has a right to be. I was at the world premiere live performance at FOX_FEST in Tokyo and it absolutely went off. The crowd was beyond hyped and it was so much fun. I've seen it live a couple more times since and it's always a highlight of the show.

@melvinthinks The dokumentaries. They have at least two of them. The one was mor technical, while Christian was more artists based but had to be reviewed by their PR.
I can't believe as a Brit you don't have any reactions to Sophie Lloyd!?!? Based in Reading now she has over 1M UA-cam subscribers and went from making videos at home to touring as a guitarist for Machine Gun Kelly. Her debut album Imposter Syndrome is amazing with featured vocalists like Lzzy Hale from Halestorm, Nathan James from Inglorious, Michael Starr of Steel Panther and Chris Robertson of Black Stone Cherry. Any of those songs would make great reviews or if you want to just watch her shred watch her version of Enter Sandman.

@melvinthinks The dokumentaries. They have at least two of them. The one was mor technical, while Christian was more artists based but had to be reviewed by their PR.
Not sure which one. It was the music video BTS. It's hilarious 🤣
I can't react to everything, mate 😁 A lot of great music out there and not enough hours in the day to cover it all unfortunately. So I have to pick what I'm most drawn towards.
hi from germany first I didnt like eletric escimo what they called themselfs then they said hey are a tribe we have to call us eletic cowboy blah blah good they didnt call them selfs eletric callboy britsch who the damn cares anyway fun reaction no wonder my grandad loves uk and hated we had to go in war
Well, it was a good song butvsong of the summer 2024 is a bit exegerated. It is simply no longer the big time for dance music.
Come on! Name me a better tune this year that makes you smile from ear to ear as much as this one? 😁
@@melvinthinks That is not the point. Earlier Summerhits made the rounds and suddenly surprised you in totally unexpected places, but Ratatata didn't really reach normal Radio Programms or so many other places. Instead the Total numbèr of market segments has grown bigger but each Segment offers less money.
I don't judge songs by their market segment or radio airplay. I judge them by how much THEY FUCKING ROCK!!! And this song ticks all the boxes. Charts and billboards are for tossers. I love you too x
🤘🦊🤘
Thank you for watching 🤗
