This is Tony, the vac maker. Note that he is using my "Gen 2", and my website still only lists the Gen 1 version. I am selling both, I just haven't had the time to do a good video showing the two and covering all the differences/tradeoffs. Most guys are preferring Gen 2. Great review! Oh, the trick to leaving bees in the bucket without the vacuum head is to put a couple of clips to hold the basket in place, and lay the bucket on it's side. That really helps the bees if sitting for hours. Thanks!
I will have to try that. Did a big removal with it on Friday. Did not change out the canisters just put them all in one i they all did great. I pinned your comment so people would see it and hopefully contact you
This is for Tony, really cool to see how this vacuum has evolved from the first prototype. One of your vacs is on my wish list. Keep up the good work. Thanks Darryl for the review.
@@beasbeesrva2615 Hello, what is the website of the atores where you buy this Vac 2 and what is the value?

To help ventilate the bucket, when finished vacuuming the bees, replace where hose connects to bucket with a homemade short hose connector covered with screen. That will allow the vac to suck air up through the bees.
Actually the gate valve has holes in it. So just close it & keep the vac on low speed mode, it'll pull through the vented gate valve. Built-in feature!
Thanks for your honest review. I have gen one and was originally thrilled with it, but then it failed me. Tony was good enough to replace the pats that failed.
I'm considering gen two. 😎🐝🐝🐝
The is a good guy to deal with for sure. He stands behind his stuff
I been wanting to Order Me One..idk..why I Haven't hit the Buy Button yet..Thank's man..
It’s a good vac. I have got to the point where I use it all the time now
I have the old version and I have had trouble keeping the lid on. I can see where the second gen doesn't have the cheesy lid.
I can see that type of vac would be good for swarm removals. I couldn't stand that high pitch whine for more that s few minutes. I'm sure the bees wouldn't care for that noise for too long as well. I prefer my setup for cutouts. Quite and almost perfect. Thanks for the review. HONEY B GUYS
Hi
a great part, but very expensive. Think it works like a small prey and a vacuum cleaner
😉
If you had both containers full of bees you might be able to couple them together at the gate valve leave the motor running to draw air through both to keep them cool. Might be worth a try.
It would be but I was using the other one
@@dfishman76 Gate valves are in PVC pipe sizes. A screen plug could be made from available fittings.
Help. please. I have two hives. One queenless, no eggs, no brood and no cells. The second: no eggs, no brood but one good looking supercedure cell. Assuming that cell yields a queen, and she starts laying, after she mates. Can I then take a frame with eggs and move it to the hopelessly queenless hive? I realize all this take time! Thanks from Massachusetts
Yes that’s an option. How good are your numbers in those hives? Here is the other thing you need to think about. By the time the other queen is hatched out, mates and starters laying and you add that frame to the other hive your looking at a good 5-6 weeks before it will have a laying queen. Might want to think of buy a queen or combining those hives.
All it needs is a removable wire cage
After tax and shipping the gen 2 is $411.36.
I don’t get anything off the sell of the vacs and I will tell you there great vacs
Yes sir, I have one.. I heard you say you weren't sure of the cost so I threw it in there.. its handy.
