At 55 I don't have any morbid attachment to life despite having many things I care about: my partner, my pipes, my cat, my cigars and my bottles of wine, but I lived what I wanted so I decided to accept my destiny. The treatments with tablets first and immunotherapy prolonged my well-being but then lost effectiveness, today the necessary therapy would require a non-existent quality of life, I have tried it and I no longer intend to live in hell waiting for pharmacology to kill me after the illness. I live, love, eat, smoke and drink every day like it's my last and that's okay.
