It's been almost a week and I can't stop congratulating Momoko Okazaki for becoming an official member of BABYMETAL. Welcome MOMOMETAL! This music video is very interesting because, despite the studio audio, it has the visuals from their latest concert held last Sunday. So we can see the new costumes which incorporate several translucent shinny parts, the new choreo, etc. Not to mention that was Momoko's first concert as an official member and that implies she had finally a mic and was singing with Moa. I can't wait for the actual live version on BD or something... but I'm thinking I will probably witness it first, in person, in a few weeks. 😁 🤘🦊
Good reaction. I'm sure you have watched live performances from 2019 onwards - so this won't be the first time you have seen Momoko (now Momometal of course). She has been dancing in the third spot since 2019 and was the only remaining Avenger since about Feb/March 2020. This was Momometal's first concert as an official member, so the first time she had a mic. Unfortunately we didn't hear her as this video does have the studio audio.
I’m so happy for momo she’s been acting as the third member for years and I’m so happy she’s finally official. They did change her look. She originally had the avengers hairstyle which was straight bangs with half of their down the other half in two buns. They changed it so now momo’s bangs are parted and sideswept and her hair in now half down and half in twin tails Side note Moa is 5’0 tall su is 5’1.4 and momo is 5’3.78 so I wonder how they will make su look taller than momo since they like having su look the tallest as she is the leader
Moa would swoon if she heard you call her tall. She is a tall 5' hehe. Su a tall 5'1 and I believe Momoko is 5'3 or almost. The girls look amazing with their new costumes and MomoMetals new hair style looks beautiful on her. 🤘🦊🤘
Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。This is a compilation from the two-day shows on April 1/2. When you watch it carefully, you will notice the difference in symmetrical mirror image of Su, Moa and Momo. The parallel two images in different outfit are from Day-1 and Day-2 respectively. (For Momo, with or without mic, too.) The fast passages quoted from "Macbeth" by Shakespeare : "Double, double, toil and trouble" and "Fire burn and cauldron bubble" were sung by Moametal and Momometal together on Day-2 when Momometal was performed as official 3rd girl for the first time😍 The sound is studio version in this MV, but West (American) Kamis played live at the venue with their heavy, hefty and nasty undulation. 😄 I am honored to have been one of the audience at the both shows. What an epic moment in my personal history !
Momometal has been serving as Avenger for the past four years, so she's more than done her apprenticeship to earn her place as a member of Babymetal. One thing that the video doesn't quite capture is how sparkly the new outfits are. When you see them live on stage, they absolutely glitter like diamonds.
Nice reaction. I too think they seemed very in synch. While Momoko has been with them as the avenger dancer. But it becomes different when your part of the group. You know folks are going to point out your mistakes. So far, she's done a great job staying focused with so many eyes on her. Or should I say eyes and cameras. I wonder if Moa had any say in her hair style. Since Moa's get in her face and all over her mic often. Fixing that problem for the new member. Moa's thoughtful like that. They also showed more of the Kamiband in this video. But you know we all want more of them. This song dropped when the new album was released. Making a statement for sure. New look new sound new member. New Babymetal. It's all in the tittle, isn't it? Many of the new songs they have been working on for years. I have a feeling by the end of this year we might be hearing about a new Babymetal album.

I saw a memorial video for Yui, so I think she passed away and they replaced her with momo. From what I read this is a fact.
Yui is very much alive and Su and Moa keep in contact with her.
