    I bought one similar on fleabay recently and first I noticed one of my ssd s didn't seem to plug into the socket correctly, looks the same. then I noticed the adapter chip was getting super hot, the adapter card was not being detected by my computer. Either these cards are super sensitive, or it was defective, or maybe got damaged . I'm concerned its going to damage : My Laptops, or my M2 SSD hard drives if it already didn't , returning it and buying another. my two cents venting here.

    Thanks I needed this. I have the same enclosure and because of your video I was able to put my SSD card into it. plugged it in my new laptop and it does recognize it, however I only see system files and can't find a single personal file, i.e., .doc or .xls. Are the hidden files?

    • @ElectronicsComputers

      maybe you can't see some of your partitions!? Click the start button-> Disk Management and make sure that your external drive has letters for all partitions. Also open the partition on your USB drive which was your C: drive and go to User folder then open folder with your username and you'll get access to Desktop and documents folders.

    I've done this myself, but when I have two of them connected transfers files between them, one or both of the drives disconnect frequently, I'm assuming due to power consumption. I'm using a USB hub connecting the two drives on my laptop... For a while using a USB Type-C to USB 3.0 hub worked, but recently that has also not worked. Have you experienced this at all?

    • @ElectronicsComputers
      @ElectronicsComputers  3 роки тому

      You need a USB hub with external power supply, because those adapters with SSDs consume about 900mAh -1A of current each.

    Hi all i am in big trouble I bought now second reader for my Kingston 480GB m.2 SSD (hyperx predator) and neither of them worked. If I plug in the box empty to pc the led has blue light and pc recognizes it without memory. If I plug in m.2 to box than box stops working even led immediatly and pc cant recognize it anymore. It happened with me with nvme supported box and nov with SATA supported box. I have no clue what to do or how many another boxes buy to try. If I screw old memory back to pc it works so its not a problem with the memory itself.

    One question, I plugged in my SSD in it's case, fits in, everything. It's used, I took it out of my PC that can't boot, and it has data on it, which is why I wanna connect it and transfer it to my laptop to save my files. It plugs up, but that's it. It doesn't show up as a storage device, just as a plugged in USB device. Could you please help? I got an SSK model converter, converts the M.2 SATA SSD to USB, like I said, it doesn't show up as storage.

      That is SATA M.2 SSD which has speed 6 Gbps and USB 3 has 5 Gbps. In reality Speed of those SSDs is way slower than USB 3.0 port can provide. M.2 NVMe SSDs are way faster than USB 3.0 and M.2 SATA SSDs.
