its fun to have an event where no one knows exactly what's coming, feels like old days.
But we do know

They are always irrelevant. These leak channels are desperate for views. Most leakers have been on UA-cam for eternity and still cant pass 1mil subs because leaks are boring.@@mikelay5360
I think they will be pushing big time for Mac OS gaming at this event, as weird as that sounds. New chips with RT support, new XDR displays, new peripherals, I think this is them making a big push towards gaming.
All valve games supported MacOS. Not anymore for CS2. Cities Skylines supported MacOS. Not Cities Skylines 2. Not great news for me. But I kind of understand.
Apple dropped their powerPC app to Intel x86 support after a few years. Dropped 32bit support. It's gonna be the same for Rosetta.

San, you're forgetting the gaming side. Betting we will hear new ties to gaming designers/companies (i.e. outright owning them or strong ties for distribution of games, maybe both?). So yes, upgrades of computers, accessories and likely gaming! Should be a wild ride!
Just before Christmas in the evening, it will be for consumers. An high end Apple TV for gaming? $400 to $800?

I think it’s gaming. Super big AAA gaming partnership. Maybe a controller? Something that will get average folks and/or kids excited to buy before Christmas.

New Pro Display XDR will probably have Pro motion, in order to get enough bandwidth to support that they gonna need TB5. Let hope that new MBPs will have TB5
I am very excited! I look forward to it! Hopefully, Apple does have some surprises that we were not expecting. The one thing they need to work on is a battery pack that charges using the USB-C connector like everything else. I will definitely be keeping up with the event.

Maybe its a game console they will unveil tomorrow... with all the game porting and stuff its possible... even the a17 pro runs native games now.. and the title even says "scary fast". Games can totally take advantage of that.

For me in the UK, the event is at 12am on 31st October, just at the early start of Halloween.
The Pro Display XDR definitely could use an update.
Hopefully with much better blooming suppression this time.
Before they bring on the iMac Pro, they first have to update the displays. The standalone displays need to be bigger and better than the one on the iMac Pro. But they could update them all at the same time. If you are looking for a surprise, here it is: Pro Display XDR 8K, Apple Studio Display 6K with pro motion, and finally an iMac Pro 27 inch with 5K display, which still gives people incentive to go for the Mac Studio with separate display, as the separate displays will be bigger and better, but a bit more expensive too.
So:
Pro Display XDR 8K
Studio Display 6K
iMac Pro 5K with M3 Pro/Max
This is in addition to the M3 24 inch iMac and the Macbook Pros.
After almost 3 decades, Apple will release the Pippin 2… Just in time for the holidays! 😅

That's very likely. It being black in color, matches the event. I think it will be that with M3 chip. I "doubt" they would update existing iMacs with M3.
I think it will be the new iMac Pro with a 30 inch display, but it won’t go on sale until next year!

This is event is all tied up to how fast the GPU is on the new M3s. Gaming, 3D, Video etc.

Maybe a new Mac Pro with separate cpu & gpu components that slot into the PCIE 16X lanes inside the MacPro enclosure. That design has been reported on in last few months.

I really wish Apple would try their hand at smart home tech again. But like, go all the way in. Doorbells, smart home hubs, etc. How seamless it is to use Apple devices together, it just makes sense!

The Finder logo used to be on every game packaging of the games that support Macs. I think it is all about gaming on Macs.
Possible. Improve the apple arcade app to have more high end games as the subscription has gone up. More expensive means more AAA games for apple users to play?
It will be something to do with the Vision Pro I think seeing as though there are settings for the Vision Pro included in beta 1 of iOS 17.2

If Apple had not announced a 2024 release for their Vision Pro VR goggles earlier this year, I would have guessed that the BIG surprise for the October Event would be some kind of AR/VR sunglasses. But, that seems very doubtful if not completely ass-backwards at this point.
So, who knows 🤔?

It really sux that they changed the time of the event to 5PM your time. Here in Europe it's middle of the night, so no way to watch it live & avoiding spoilers will be impossible when waking up Tuesday morning.

With the MacBook Pro if they add Face ID (doesn’t seem likely) in the notch I’ll jump from my M1 Pro MacBook Pro to the M3 Pro
Apple studio display is also out of stock for a while.
Because of the black with white on the artwork for the event, I'm wondering if this has a lot to do with miniLED/OLED and having the displays go even darker when representing blacks. Maybe a new 'black' MacBook Pro colour?? Since the keyboard of the M Macs feature black, it wouldn't surprise me if they do the same. But NGL even then, I would kind of prefer Space Grey.

I suspect Apple seeks to continue the hype surrounding Vision Pro. Perhaps new applications which will release with Vision Pro. Maybe the UA-cam influencers who attended the Vision Pro event were the ones targeted to receive the goodie boxes?

@@donxx1206 I think 24" for a monitor is a bit too small. (But that's for me personally.) I think 27" - 32" are the perfect screen sizes. But again, that's me personally of course. I really love the Apple XDR Pro display! 😀

Maybe an upgraded Apple TV optimised for gaming.. there were some rumours before the last Apple TV upgrade but it never happened. Maybe with their recent gaming push they’ll do it this time.
Perhaps with Apple going with a Gaming Focus we are going to see a high refresh rate Display for the Desktop, might be Apple's first ever Ultra Wide? That would be a breeze of fresh air and would fit with the theme of the event. Although this might be still wishful thinking on my part 😁
