Thank you guys for watching and liking the video, Ive listed the Mods and load order in the description. Also all areas can be found in every versions of the game
LOL might be best to not start your video by saying hay there degenerates. LOL Perhaps Hay there fellow gamers.
Ain't no way. These locations are modded in to your version. Unaccessible in original version
Load up an old save, go to Kalm and give it a try. I don’t know if it’s even possible to add new areas to a game like FF7 that’s all hand drawn backgrounds
Dude, I've been playing FF VII for 26 years, and I didn't know you could get into the truck's cabin in Corel Prison for a quick nap, it actually blew my mind like "wait, wtf ???"
lol, same. My girlfriend is pretty pleased with herself
You can also get into the bar on the bottom right in Corel as well. Sometimes people don’t know that.
Yeah minds blown on that one, thought I went through the game with a fine tooth comb
I knew about this. Free healz. Didn't know about the tower. Though. That's coolio
Looks like stuff added in from mods🎉
27 years... Holy crap, what a run this game is having. I still go back and play it at least once a year.
Same brother, the real crazy thing is that I didn’t know any of these were in the game and I’ve played it over the years since it released.
Love this game I bought a PlayStation for this game and was the first real RPG I had ever played.
Same!
Playing it now just started disc 2
Man that voice mod would drive me insane
Voice mod is not worth it you will just off yourself
It's so cringe. I don't understand any "praise". How embarrassing
Yeah it’s pretty awful sounding. Made me mute the video immediately.
Yeah it’s like the new trend in rpgs on mobile is loud screaming Super Saiyan Japanese for every single move. I tried it, I really did, but I opted for no voice.
I appreciate the work put into making something like this, but definitely yeah not for me.
I was in this mod as Aerith!! Thank you for showing these bonus areas!! I’ll keep a look out on my next playthrough 😊
Is this mod, Not a vanilla game?
@@olevet75there is no voice acting in the og game.
I love how eager they are to get into another submarine after nearly dying in one.
It's crazy how many secrets are in this game that people are still finding new things!
One thing to note in this. If you choose to get the red sub, you lose the chance to get the huge materia from the red sub battle and therefore later in Cosmo Canyon Bahamut Zero so you should never ever want the red sub as you lose your chance for the Summon and Master Summon Materia as well.
You can actually receive all missed materia by digging at bone village, this includes w item and bahamut zero
@@brianjacko5282 Yeah but you wont have the huge materia to get the Master Summon as you interract with that at Cosmo Canyon. Good shout though with BZ
I've always been curious about where the door that the dog guards in Junon lead to, now I know.
Can't say I'm shocked there's a lot we missed, it was pretty much the biggest single player game ever made in terms of world size and locations back then or if not close to it.
True. Back in the 90s I was amazed at all the places I could go to while on board the Highwind. I had never seen a world that big before.
"it was pretty much the biggest single player game ever made in terms of world size and locations back then"
No, that would be 'Daggerfall'.
@@hinotorineko Daggerfall ruled! In addition to being big, it was really fleshed out with content. I liked how you dropped your stuff off to be repaired and had to wait until the next day to pick up your gear. 🤣🤣🤣
@@hinotorinekonice job leaving off the last part "or if not, close to it."
Take your daggerfall elder scrolls glazing and go to your room with it, you know what they meant
I did not know about being able to look out the window in Kalm, but knew about the other two. The second ribbon location was one that I was unaware of for years. Was so amazed when I saw someone go there
It shows how detailed this game was if you can do many play throughs and still find something new
I got to that location but i didn’t know cloud was in the window.
That window appears in the ending cutscene too. A girl (Marlene?) looks out to see the explosion
The truck interior even has that LOOK of a forgotten or obscure FF7 location
I had never seen the truck in Desert Prison before!! And I’ve been playing this game since 1997, at least 15 times!!
I played FF7 on release date when I was a kid, I still do 1 playthrough every year but I had no clue about the Kalm window, I thought I knew everything about this game but years later it still surprises me.
Why do a playthrough every single year rather than just when you feel like it? Isn't it turning it into a chore?
@@merk9922 Nope. That's how much I like FF7.
@@merk9922It’s just that great, and its greatness bleeds heavy into its modding community that adds even more quality content to an already jam-packed game. It will always be loved, and for good reason.
I knew about the rest spot below gold saucer because i got stuck there for too many hours and ended up with a lvl 60+ cloud on my first play through as a kid lol
So that's how you can reach that area behind the dog under Junon ! You answered a question from my youth ! Thank you so much !!
I might be mistaken, but if you play the game with the arrows on over exits and ladders, etc (i think hitting select toggled those), I believe there was an indicator for both the first 2 secrets of your video. Its been about 20 years since i played it on the PS1, but I seem to recall both and played with the arrows on
The tower in kalm has one by the spiral stairs, but I don't think it has one to look out of the window.
This right here. Get to a new area and check where you can and can't go then off exploring we went
There is one behind the dog on Junon too, you just can't access it. Driven me insane for years and now, Finally I know! Thank you for this video.
I've recently played New Threat 2.0 with Echo-S and all the mods with my sister, absolutely the best experience with the original FFVII we've had since I was 11. And the ONLY thing we hadn't found out was this door on Junon Dock, with the dog on the front. We got everything else: golden chocobo through breeding AND Ruby, all materia, all master, hidden bosses, Weapons etc. All but that one single door. It haunted me, not knowing.
Thank you, man.
The NPCs in the prison will tell you that you can nap in the cab of the truck.
Knew about the red submarine, even if I've never gotten it myself. Hate losing lol.
The Kalm balcony though, that one I didn't know. 27 years later lol.
Oh really? I must have missed that guy, lol
@@SBDannysStories Haven't played the OG in a couple years, and I can't recall which one says something about it, but I got stuck there on my first playthrough (had to ask my friend how he beat it, pre internet days lol) and I'd have probably given up without that cabin lol.
Though to be fair, 8-9 year old me also got stuck for a good 5 hours in the map between sectors 5 and 6, right after Aerith joins you after you pointlessly sneak away. (and got caught 100 times I swear 😂)
I knew about the red submarine but i've never those screens until your video. Even the screen right before they exit the first sub was new to me. thanks!
I knew about the truck. An RPG will rarely lock you in an area where you can't either rest somewhere or buy health items. There are a few things I didn't find out until a few playthrough. Like the bird nest near Corel and the various Materia caves you can only get to with special chocobos. Or being able to return to the Shinra HQ at the end of disc 2 when you go for the mako canon.
I think the first one is the window that Marlene looks out of at the end when Meteor is coming, i’ve been there on a few playthroughs but was underwhelmed when you couldn’t do much else.
Wait Till you learn about The Secret Cow Level
there is no cow level
@@goody0813as far as YOU know, clearly
@FairseasX I think you may not be in on the joke or know where this comes from, my dude.
EARTHWORM JIM
"...but some call me Tim"
I dont know if I ever discovered the rest point in the truck - I played this game on and off since release. But I defenitly never took the route to the alternative submarine.
Thanks for showing
Just played through the OG steam version for the first time... I wish I saw your modded version earlier. It looks so much better while it keeps the OG feeling to it. Even the voice acting seems awesome for a fan mod.
When you’re up for another replay the mod manager, mods and load order are in the description.
Yay! I knew them all. I played back when it was on PSX and had more time on this game than any others. I also had the strategy guide for it. It was such a great game that I had 3 copies and 2 strat guides stolen from me. I could NOT keep a copy of FFVII. I have a copy now but only 2 of the 3 discs.
I had that same unfortunate situation. I still have a copy of the game but it's the platinum edition rather than the original container.
@@kri249 I hate that happened to you. They should have just bought their own copies.
I knew about Kalm, but not the Corel Lorry. I do confess though, on my first playthrough (I was only 12!) I lost the Sub game and got the Red Sub. Only when I attempted full runthroughs a fair few years later, I was going crazy as I was like 'I'm pretty sure I followed that damn dog the first time I played it?' But every time since I always won the sub game as knew what I was doing, so that dog never moved! So never saw the red sub again (well not at the bottom of the ocean anyway......). Thought I was going crazy at the time, but the feeling of vindication. 😂
what version is this? looks less polygon-y than i remember
@@dizzle0584 the steam version but modded
lol ya, it's definitely custom. The meshes and backgrounds are wayyyy better than original
Well shit, Those first 2 were actually things I didn't know. I usually know all this stuff, but damn. That was some obscure shit nobody talks about. Color me impressed.
This blew my mind. I thought I 100% this back in the 90’s with my official strategy guide lol!
i'm a completionist in Final Fantasies, and so I was always exploring every little thing. Thus I found the truck cab nap spot in my first playthrough.
What system is this for or is it a mod? I don’t recall these graphics being this sleek and seeing a sword on clouds back when he’s running around.
When I played through this the first time, I found these. Mainly I sucked at the sub mini game so badly I had to get the red sub in order to proceed, 😂😂! I also believe part of the art somewhere in the original manual (I could be wrong) depicts the red sub - it’s almost like they expected players to use it. Nice video!
Thank you, I appreciate the compliment
Truck cab is essential to get all the easter eggs in that area for a complete playthrough.
what do you mean?!
@@TENNSUMITSUMA You gotta farm for the mysterious carriage out in the desert, and there's plenty more. Having a place to go back and heal is essential.
@@defectiveparts8604 i pride myself on having 100% completed ff7 over 25 times in my life. Did i miss something in that wasteland?!
@@TENNSUMITSUMA I won't spoil it, but time in the desert really purifies a soul. 🤗
I DID know about the truck cab and being able to rest there. I only discovered it thinking i could find an item in it, but didn't think it was of any importance. I don't recall seeing the red submarine though.
I knew about the truck cab because I remember it was a three seater. & I encourage everyone else to watch FFVII Machinabridged.
Have you ever tried taking a spin at the Speed Square in the Gold Saucer AFTER Cloud remembers his past in the story?
He kneels down and gets a gag reflex. There should be some videos on UA-cam that show it.
To me, this is the most mind-blowing hidden thing in the game.
Yeah I love the little details like that!
The truck one brings back memories. I remember helping work on echo s7 mod when I got to see it for the first time. Funny thing is we put the commands in backwards when rewriting the script. This game is just full of secrets we are still learning to this day.
The cab is insane. Played this game since release. Must of beatin it like 20+ time and never knew you could sleep in the cab at the prison. Mind blown
I love seeing videos like this keep it up man !! I usually press select to find what doors i can go into.
Do you know about the cutscene with Zack & Cloud if you return to the underground lab in the Mansion in Nibelheim?
I didn't know about the first two but yeah the red sub was pretty well known even back in the 90s
End of the rails on the way to north Corel where you flip the switch to lower the bridge for the other party members, there’s a hidden room below the rails which not many people know about
This basically means You got no huge materia from submarine and later on - You didn't get Bahamut ZERO which is needed in order to get manually master summon materia.
@@Esteleath yep, but you still can dig up Bahamut ZERO at Bone Village
Intended gameplay loops. 👍
@@SBDannysStoriesyep I get bahamut zero in first playthrough in bone village. Miss 1 huge materia 😅
When you're equipped with 4xcut, summons become a waste of materia slots
How is there audio on here is this a remaster or something. Never seen this version i did not know about the red Submarine. I know the Soldiers were the guys from the parade. I never kill them and can't be bothered. Later cut scenes if you take them prisoner there still there when you crash into the weapons
All this and they've figured out how to get Aries back into the party right after she dies. The full explanation video is on 4-8 productions channel.
I love that the soldiers in the submarine are a reference to Clone Wars
Never knew about the Corel Prison one! Honestly, are people still gonna be playing the remake in 30 years and finding new stuff?
I have done all 3 and if I remember rightly if you get the huge materia from the red sub you can't do the crashed plane by emerald weapon.
My first playthru I got the first red sub. You can get the huge materia from the wreck. You can also find your sub down there too.
What graphics mod is that? Looks much higher quality than normal.
100% a mod. Cloud had PS1 "box hands" on the world map .. In this he's better animated than in combat, lol
@@mattainsworth6389 thanks for watching, some of the mods where, NinonStyle HD for better looking characters and Cosmos Limit Break for most of the background up scaling and widescreen.
Is there a mod to update the music? I just want higher fidelity.
Fully configurable packs with information in 7th heaven's modsite.
Which console can this version be played on? IOS? Graphics are awesome!
I think I knew about the tower in Calm, but certainly didn't know about the nap truck. I want to check my FFVII Versus Guide and see if the nap truck is detailed. Thanks!
Anything about it in there?
Its like learning your oldest and best friend killed a guy and never mentioned it. These are mind-blowing, and I thought I knew everything about 7
That is a great analogy!
I remember the first bit about the window but the rest is new to me! I may have known about the truck but forgot. I have not played the game in like 20 years!
If you have the steam version now is the best time to replay the game
What Final Fantasy 7 is this? My version looks nothing like this 1. Then again mines the og psx version
I didn't actually play the original ff7 until after I played the remake and wanted to know the whole story. I was absolutely surprised how much could be done in this game on the ps1 😂😂😂
10/10
I played RPGs totally different when I was 8. Strangely I saw all of this because, I was very thorough, but I sucked at strategy. I think Magic:the gathering is what raised my RPG IQ.
I know all of the secrets of FF7 because I needed them. Now I blow through RPGs, and miss a lot of content.
I think they were more enjoyable when I sucked, honestly. 😂
I knew the window and sub, but I never knew you could enter and sleep in the cab of the truck in Corel Prison, wow.
Same
Didn't know about the one in kalm!! Awesome to still finding new things on this gem!
and one more, the building you can buy at costa del sol. not many ppl know that the buggy can be shiped to the other continent
@@FaLiar yep, that took me 3 or 4 play throughs to realise
building you can buy???
@residentgrey the old Shinra Villa for 300,000Gil
@@SBDannysStories Oh wow! I have no memory of it. I never completed the game, only finished it so there are tiny bits I miss. I even never beat the weapons too. I got Ruby to within 4 digits before some insane bad luck happened.
I am loving the beautiful graphics in this! Nice work.
What versión Is this? Didnt know that the characters can see like It was in Batlle mode
you can press select it shows all the exits.... or is that only on original ps1?
You've just blown my mind. Thank you so much.
Its fun learning new things about old games we enjoyed a long time ago
@@winncode1370 thanks for watching, I’m genuinely surprised to still find new stuff in a game I’ve played so many times before.
I told one of the guys working on the voice overs for this mod about the truck in corel prison while they were working on the game in a stream.
Selecting select or whatever button is mapped to see the red arrows of places you can go shows the truck bed. I never used it myself. But I did find it out through someone else
@@frodofranz I was exactly the same, I’d use it but then during the play though must have had it off at this stage, I only found it because I was watching my girlfriend play and she still had it on and I was like the the heck is that red triangle there for???
@SBDanny7777 I can imagine the look of surprise you must have had 😮🤯
I farmed the "lost in the desert" area, near there, for ages, using grenades to farm the dodging cactus 🌵 for gil. Buying the lifetime golden saucer pass early.
Don't know if anyone else did that too?
@@jimmym8348 naw I would at the start of the game in the train graveyard steal ethers from the flyers. Only needed like 40 or so to get the 30k.
My last couple of play throughs I’ve been betting on the Chocobos until I get 300GP and I buy the lifetime pass from the prize lady at Wonder Square. If you’re lucky enough it becomes alot cheaper.
Nice! I never got the red submarine before. Great video!
Why do we keep seeing PC versions of this game? :/ Why not the PSX version?
Final Fantasy 7, PSx 1997, just try the buttons of the pads...
Button "select" --> red and green icons
very nice! learned something new about ff7 after so many years!
What version of FF7 is this? It looks like it’s somewhere between the original and the remake
Wow, that second find blows me away
nice yeah never knew of those spots. seen the red sub a few times on yt.
this made me think of the door where you first meet Nanaki that is locked. wonder if this has ever been unlocked. I will never be doing another playthrough.
for more context, this was noted on the original PS version, unsure about the remake.
What version are you playing! It looks gorgeous
what happens if you off the last two in the red sub?!
You get the red sub, but you can also just take them hostage to get the same end
@@SBDannysStories so why do you normally get the gray one?!
That and is there any special items you can only steal from fighting these guys?
I wish they made a new final fantasy with the visual style of 8, ambience and battle system of 7, and with a translation as good as 9
I loved the look of 9 too though. It felt darker in tone than even 7 to me.
@@residentgrey I more so meant the character models and summons/spell effects. The ambience of 9 was amazing just like the others but I’m tired of the short, cartoony characters it seems like it’s in every jrpg these days.
@@deangelobailey5863 I love how they did not shy away from darkness in that game. I see 9 being darker than 7 and 7 went DEEP.
This is the first time I'm hearing a voice over. I thought it was you doing the voices at first lol
@@a2bmasonry lol, I should have ticked people into thinking that
In the Kalm window you can see the travelers Gold chocobo across the way.
