Uber isn’t illegal in Indonesia, they simply no longer operate in all of Southeast Asia because Grab acquired Uber. Grab HQ is in Singapore and they operate all over Southeast Asia, including Indonesia. Getting from DPS airport into town is admittedly quite tricky, even for locals, as taxi mafias are abound and are very territorial. This is also the case in Canggu. Although you’ve managed to explain the tips and tricks on getting Blue Bird taxis, Grabs and Go-Jeks quite well. It would simply be a lot less of a hassle if you organised a driver to pick you up at the airport to take you to your accommodation. You can hire these drivers by the day to go on day trips around Ubud if you don’t feel like renting scooters. The Balinese government is currently constructing islandwide trains like the rest of Java and is about to start constructing a metro system going to and from DPS airport into Kuta, Legian and Denpasar. And it’s Indonesian Rupiah. We roll the Rs in Indonesian and the H isn’t silent. Get it right.
Escaping Comfort Zone, do you have some idea if I’m going to Jakarta or Denpasar from Atlanta GA, how the situation for September 2020 that’s my plan , thank you mate
There are more exits to get the taxi at Denpasar, Exit tax free zone is not the only one. You didn't show the exits All the free taxi drivers hanging around, some try to scam you yes. Humans are born problems.
