1969 S is the famous mint marked double die obverse that has sold for $129,000 or there abouts I keep hoping when i get a S 69 that it's the one ,even in low grades it's worth alot . I have some but not the major double variety.

When I started looking for the 69 floating roof I found up there was a 1970 71-72 can have that also. I kind of quit once I found three in one month. To me it says it's quite common and I also know that the floating roof comes from over polishing of the dies. You might notice that in the 80s Lincoln cents. On the reverse United States of America can be quite faded. Overuse and over polishing of the dies.
Get your coin graded by NGC and put it in Heritage Auction and pennys are selling for thousands of dollars. Mine will be going in soon around Christmas....
@@dsc7772 I don't trust the auctions anymore because they don't care unless the coins are hundreds years old. Very few get through with small cents from within 100 years old. But it's very few coins. I hope someday it will change and they will take a couple of my coins since they're old and details PR. 69 + 70

I'll show in 1969 Lincoln's bust on the cent was reduced in size . Look at a 1968 and you'll see the difference. Also the 1969 S doubled die is worth thousands and thousands of dollars. Don't take my word for it, go to UA-cam just type in 1969's doubled die. I stay in tune with a lot of this stuff and I've never heard of a 1969 D double die. There is a 1969 D RPM which means repunched mint mark

A regular business strike 1969 S is very common and are only valuable in high grades only . Only the error 1969 S Doubled Die is sought after highly . Pull up a picture of the error 1969 . Pull up the 1955 Doubled Die Lincoln cent . Now the 1958 Doubled Die Lincoln cent is the most expensive. Only 3 known . 2018 - sold Heritage Auctions, it was sold a little over 300,000 . Not kidding.

I also have the 1919 Lincoln cent.had higher expectations but it seems that 1919 was one of the most minted Lincoln cents making the value not that great. UA-cam's couch collectables is a very helpful place for accurate information
@@dorothycross6789 One place that might buy it is your local coin dealer. Keep in mind that it's not rare and, depending on its condition, you might not be able to get much for it. In average condition it's worth about a 50 cents or so. 🙂

You need a magnifying glass or a mini- microscope you will be able to tell what the mint is a filled in mint mark is just isn't considered an error, but if it has part of a second mint mark that will count.
You can sell me your coins. Just send me clear pictures of the front and back. The fact is that it is not easy to sell coins and it very difficult to find buyers. Are your coins without mint marks? Just send me photos.

You couldn’t tell the 1969s is worth thousands when I looked on eBay they are not selling for even a $100.

Ms 63 grade about 28 dollars. 1919D. Same grade 110 and the 1919S would be 115
