- This project is a restoration & upgrade on Alfa Romeo 164 24v QV. Due to wear & tear, the engine had to undergo a full procedure overhaul.
Since there is a 3.2 GTA donor engine, the owner made a decision to transfer the stroker kit 3.2 into the original block 3.0. The difference in stroke, 72.6mm vs 78mm. Increasing the stroke means increasing the torque.
Before being put into the block, the stroker kit 3.2 has gone through lightening & balancing process. The piston and connection rod have been lightened & balanced. Likewise the crankshaft has been brilliantly balanced.
Once everything is installed completely, it's time to fine tune the ECU. It uses Unichip X piggyback. The result is 261hp & 305nm.

Bello e ottimo lavoro con la nuova equilibratura e tutto il resto .. ma tutto sto casino per recuperare solo 20 cv😢... più che lavorare sul incremento della cubatura avrei preferito modificare con una turbina o un compressore volumetrico allargatura travasi aspirazione e miglioramento cx aerodinamico e pesi ...esempio il condizionatore e tutte le cose inutili e i comfort meritano di essere tolte da un auto con un potenziale simile ..oramai stiamo avanti con le modifiche..
An increase of 40nm for a n.a engine that does not have any aids, is a relevant figure. The n.a power delivery is not the same as a turbo, even if on paper it has soaring numbers. What I want is, the engine feels lively enough at every rpm.
Togliere il condizionatore ed altri optional da un'auto del genere significa snaturarla completamente, ricordiamoci che è una berlina ammiraglia non un'auto da corsa.

This is a QV model, front wheel drive. As for the all-wheel drive, the Q4 model. In my country there is no Q4 model.

@@erodpilat3553 Thanks sir. This is my second Alfa. The first was a 155 with 3.0 24v engine. Unfortunately it cough fire. This 164 QV is the second. I'm trying to repair and upgrade bit by bit. Anyway, this is a dream since i was little.
