    As a former minor league player and JUCO All American, I once had a coach who played with HOF pitcher Nolan Ryan as a catcher and he shared with me how so much of his power came from his solid leg base. This is just another proof of how the game is getting faster bigger and stronger with god-given bodies as these young and gifted talents rise to the top of the game. EXCELLENT breakdown Tread Athletics!

      Weight training was not so previlent back in the 70's when I played due to the belief that the larger chest mass would restrict hitters in their follow-through but as we can see, another myth has been disproven! Play ball for love of the game first, and get better at something everyday!

    I started baseball when I was 26, I'm 29 now turning 30 and have just started pitching! I am making huge improvements weekly so all those coaches who say you can't get better at an older age is wrong. watch me get to throw 90+ by the end of the year

      I started baseball around 2nd grade and played my entire life, even worked in-depth on pitching with Matt Whiteside and was on a perfect track until my arm went bad around age 16. Got TJ surgery and haven't thrown anything since. 26 now and I am athletically faster, stronger, and I throw the ball WAY harder than I did back then. Age definitely doesn't play a factor unless you get lax/lazy with training.

    Randy J. had a free mind, a free throw and free body movement. Unlocking, understanding and min maxing your unrestricted physical ability is key in physics based sports. In most cases training and coaching are seperate. Coaching is basically a waypoint. Training is a personal commitment to improvement through mental and physical min maxing. Repetition will set you free, muscle memory, eye hand coordination. Not thinking about the production of your desired end result, and simply manifesting it is what happens with great pitchers.

    He holds that chin tucked into that left sholder with the left elbow pointing at the 3rd baseman and his left butt cheek pointed at the catcher with that long stride and then explodes to the plate. Definitely core strength and glute strength are needed. When I was 12, 54 now, we didnt have this technology🤣, I remember kicking high, and holding my chin tucked for as long as I could and then explode and my chin when I delivered the ball would hit my left knee when I delivered and followed threw. I was 5'9" 165lbs throwing 90mph at 16-17 in the 80's. I was a runner, long distance, so i had the leg strength, but Definitely core and upper body strength lacked. This is good stuff. Wish I had this when I was a kid. Actually I think he could gain 1 to 3 mph if he would raise the arm slought and bend at the waist. Might save his forearm flexors.🤔

  • @OG__GreenCrack
    @OG__GreenCrack 3 роки тому +5

    Quite amazing the power he can generate but that’s not the name of the game batters will be able to hit 100 but that’s just one pitch from his arm slot it is very easy to pick up the hand and release points. You can tell where and what pitch is coming because of how open he gets. Also from the stretch would be interesting because things significantly change mechanics wise and the high leg lift with the pelvic tilt he does would just have runners moving regardless of the velocity. Some things noticed not being all negative but time will fix some of these too and coaches of various experiences.

  • @MaxPD01
    @MaxPD01 3 роки тому +3

    Excellent breakdown. I think that at the end of the day the mechanics can't explain why he throws 100. Rather he throws 100 and these are his mechanics. Otherwise any pitcher could adapt these mechanics and then throw just as hard?

    • @blankname6629
      @blankname6629 3 роки тому

      No it def does explain why he throws so hard. You can’t really teach hip mobility you can improve it a bit but it’s something that he does naturally. I’d actually try to get him to stand taller he won’t throw as hard but it won’t put as much strain on his arm and will lower the risk of arm injury. And he will control his pitches better. 97 or 98 and putting it where ever you want is better than 101 and having no idea where it is is going.

    • @ala8933
      @ala8933 3 роки тому +1

      The simple fact of “adapting” to his mechanics is what’s a flawed mindset. Everyone has different components in the body. Leg length, torso length, hip anatomy, bone structure. To obtain his mobility wouldn’t be a year thing

That mobility puts an extreme amount of pressure on his arm and I doubt he commands his pitches well throwing like that.
